*WHOSOEVER ... [John 3:16] on John 4:54 - 2 years ago
Did you know the word/term christian(s) only appears 3 times in the gospels/epistles (Jn.5:39)? (1st mentioned in Acts 11:26)
I would like to draw everyone's attention to vs 19 to 26 of this chapter [spirit & truth], let it sink in 4 a while!
Salvation IS Of/BY the JEW(S)! otherwise we gentiles worship we "..know not what.." as christianity is a 'middle eastern' (not western) religion in origin ( Acts 11:26)!
TIME TO COME HOME!
Please read/understand the *booklet & **book "The Seven Feasts Of Israel" by the late *Zola Levitt; **"Aligining With God's Appointed Times" by **Jason Sobel;
Then, WELCOME HOME MISCHOPAH :-) kol tuv etc ...

It will be recalled that when Jesus was offered wine to relieve His agonies at the cross he refused (although he was given the sour vinegar stuff right before He died). ( Matthew 27:34 as compared with John 19:29). Hence in that case the alcohol was for antiseptic purposes; when in the first it would have mitigated suffering. The verse in 1 Tim. 5:23 implores Timothy because of bad water and digestive issues to drink a little wine. Christ was accused of being a "winebibber" in Matthew 11:19 clearly demonstrates that indeed there were alcoholic beverages He and the disciples would partake in (as the wedding in Cana would also suggest since it was tasted by the official there and verified as such).
As Paul warns; not all things we are at liberty to do should be done. Firstly; we need to consider ourselves and anyone around us to make sure no one has problems with alcohol OR is a believer such as the person you responded to in order not to offend them with your liberties. That short of family settings and perhaps one or two close friends gets pretty difficult. Even drinking a bit to excess can be a slippery slope. At any event; clearly it isn't a sin to do this in context; and the fact it was used for many centuries as a pain killer when other more effective techniques only recently developed; as Proverbs states it is for those who are in great pain ( Proverbs 31:6-7). Those dying should be given pain relief is Solomon's message; but of course we shouldn't be drawn to excesses as he was as the rest of Proverbs teaches us with wisdom after the fact.
Simply being a distraction from God or enjoying any substance that is controlling us is dangerous. We have to be ever vigilant; such benefits as resveritol found in red grapes and in wine can certainly
Referring to John 46, a lovely person I know, who was born again and gave up all vises to serve Jesus, told me that the water Jesus turned to wine, was nonalcoholic, nonfermented. That Jesus never drank wine that contained alcohol..She said drunkeness was a sin. Believing that last statement, I also believe that the wine that Jesus created at the wedding was alcoholic and that it can be consumed without allowing yourself to become drunk. Yes I do have a glass of wine on occasion but do not get drunk. Is there any proof in the Bible that tells if this wine was with alcohol or not.? Thankyou.
I'm sorry, but I question even the smallest things I read in the Bible. Not because I don't believe. I certainly do believe have faith and trust and love for God and Jesus. Questioning helps me to understand things better. Everyone has their own beliefs and opinions and interpretations. I question to find the reasons for mine. Thank you Linda
The HEALING OF THE NATIONS__Mishael - In Reply on John 4 - 2 years ago
This is a story that shows how the Holy Spirit gift, Word of Knowledge, operates.
She might have thought the way he was dressed that he was a Jew. Jews and Samaritan's did not fellowship together, or draw water for each other. She was surprised that Jesus even spoke to her.
She gave him a drink and through the Word of knowledge, Jesus told her all the events/truths of her life.
As a result she runs back to her neighborhood and tells what happened. The town goes back with her and Jesus preaches the good news to them. They all get saved__by believing in what he said.
Jesus was quizzed by the Disciples for even speaking to her and the others. Jesus was sent to "the House of Israel" first. Jesus explained that he was sent to the world. Jews and Gentiles did not mix cultures. Kind of like today with the disputes between whites vs non-whites.
Only the LIFE of Jesus living in His believers and followers__can bring HEALING TO THE NATIONS.
Matthew 28:19.
Just in the New Testament, are 37 scriptures on the word Nations. That's who we all are. Separation began at the Tower of Babel.
We shall know THE TRUTH and the Truth WILL set us free. Now that Jesus has made all people eligible to receive Salvation; and we receive it into our lives__we are to take the Healing of the Nations into ourselves First. After conversion we are to Take Healing To the Nations (all peoples regardless of religion, race or unbelief). The TREE OF LIFE, which is Jesus Christ: the fruit is for the Healing of the Nations.
After knowing what the will of God is, through Jesus Christ; we must embrace and REPRODUCE the God kind of Love.
Perfection, is AGAPE love. It's the Holy Spirits job to produce that within us. All of our predjudices must be left at the foot of the Cross.
We do this only by trust, and faith in Jesus to perfect our faith. Is the Power of His Love strong enough? How much of us are we willing to surrender? There will be some pain in dying to Self.
Hi Barbara. I can't be sure since the Bible doesn't specifically mention this aspect but the two possibilities that come to mind are: Jesus' appearance and/or His accent. Very often in eastern cultures, the type of clothing or footwear worn or manner of wearing it can give clues about the person's origins. As well, a person's accent can often identify which part of the country they're from.
Having lived & ministered in India & Pakistan, these identifiable aspects were often at the forefront. Because over there, it wasn't just the conversation that was important, but also knowing a person's background & family roots helped in what was being discussed. Maybe this woman at the well picked up some of these clues from Jesus.
I'm looking for the scripture that speaks of our new bodies where we worship God not as husbands and wives. We will no longer be married but that we will know each other as brothers and sisters ! We no longer love each other as man and wife physically!
Thank you so much for clarifying that for me. I had imagined it being just the archangel fighting this war against satan but now I see how this occurring. God bless you, always!
Hi Karen First there is no comparison of God Almighties power in relationship to satans. In Gospel of Luke 11:20 Jesus Christ uses a figure of speech saying if I with the finger of God sort of like flicking an ant off your body no effort, cast out devils. Biblically Gabriel is a messenger for God Daniel 8:16 + 9:21 also Luke 1:19 + 1:26. Michael is for the most part a warrior Daniel 10:13+21 + 12:1 also Jude 9 and Rev.12:7.
Now karen that being said here's a few other references to other angels and what they were sent to do Mathew 4:11 angels were sent to minister to Jesus Christ after being tempted, angels were sent to sodom and gomorrah to get lot and His wife and daughters out of town with specific instructions to obey. so angels are messengers or agents sent by God to do His Work for man .
My favorite example is Hebrews 1:11 ministering spirits sent forth to minster for them who shall be heirs of salvation. So the battle is between the true God and His messengers and satan and His messengers, both sides have them. In His Service
Some people want to compare God with satan as if they are opposites but God is God all by Himself so my question is, this current battle, is it satan against The ArchAngel Michael? Because satan is a fallen angel so I would think this current battle is between satan and an archangel or is all of the angels. Please clarify and provide a Scripture reference please.
Anne The reason is very interesting this is mentioned when in he was back in the area where he was raised in cana of galilee. In Mathew 13:54-58 we read where he went to where he was raised and because they knew the family he came out of He could not do many mighty works there because of unbelief. Many times Jesus Christ went up against people who didn't believe especially where he was raised. In luke 8:49-56 is total grace because he brought back the dead after being laughed at and had to get rid of the unbelief in the room. In luke chapter 4 beginning at verse 16 goes in teaches the word in nazareth where he had been brought up the people look at Him like who are you and how are you doing this. Verse 22 is not this the carpenters son, wrong He was the Son of God he reproves them then look at their reaction verse 28+29 not good. Verse 30 But he passing by went His way, he wasn't phased by their reaction. Prayerfully this answered your question God Bless
I have seen the pictures that have returned from Mars. what a difference between our galaxy and the one we see around Mars! A difference in the positioning of the stars, and the night sky . How thankful I am, that God placed the earth where He did and that we are not struggling to survive on this destitute place! If I have come away with anything, it is how thankful we should be for what He has given us, and how we should respect the earth and the life in it! How the nature and the creation are exactly what the bible say " the evidence of things that appear" The eternal God head.
The Greek word (trophe) applies to 'food or nourishment', so I don't see that it was only meat that the disciples went to purchase. It could have been a combination of meat & vegetables, or even that which was already prepared. And there is nothing in the New Testament to suggest that Jesus was a vegetarian or a non-vegetarian. I believe that He enjoyed all food, any food that He was able to eat, but in Truth, His "meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work." ( John 4:34), implying the much lower priority He placed on food & having a full stomach.
The same Greek word, troph, is used 15 times in the KJV: 13 times the King James translators used the word "meat" and 2 times the word "food" in Act 14:17 and Jas 2:15.
Yes, Jesus ate meat, because He celebrated Passover on many occasions with His disciples, which involves killing and eating the Passover lamb.

If you will read second Timothy I think it may give you some answers, don't know exactly what you are asking Women can be prophets and teachers, we as one in the body of Christ can tell about Jesus, teach about Jesus
Hi John.. Galatians 3:28 (KJV) There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
The principle to remember is that " A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump." Galatians 5:9 How much error/leaven must you know, to know truth? None. While God exposes the leaven as opposition to himself, he always exhorts us to reject it at the slightest appearance.
"After all, they are inspired by God to some extent too right?" Your assumption is not "after all", but inspite of all known revelation. That is, clearly God has spoken to the world through his revelation of himself in the middle east. To want something other/more is to slight the importance he "has" revealed.
American Treasury agents are given genuine currency to study carefully, and thereby, they have the ability to better detect counterfit currency.
Bahss, what other 'books' are you thinking of referring to, to learn more of God? Have you read any of those books, such as the Quran, Bhagavad Gita, Tripitaka, Adi Granth, etc.? Or are you thinking of the Deuterocanonical Books (or the Apocrypha)?
Of the former group of books I mentioned, even though God is mentioned, also man's shortcomings, a means of salvation, & a future existence, I wonder what you would gain from them given that in each one of the doctrines mentioned, the view of Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism & Sikhism is not only different from the Judeo-Christian teaching & understanding, but also in opposition to it. If you could first study those religions, how they were formed, their teachers/teaching, & the end of their faith, you might just at that point discover how far removed they are from biblical teaching.
In respect to the Apocrypha, again they were generally written in those silent years of the Bible & into the period after Christ. And these were not included in the Canon of Scripture because of their doubtful authorship, origins, declared 'truths' or even verses that are in opposition to accepted Writ. What we have in the Bible (NT) are from authors that are known & have been in direct contact with the Lord Jesus & given that bases, any other Scripture, whether from the Apocrypha or from other religions, must be approached cautiously or even totally rejected, lest our own understanding of God's Word is polluted with error. Not everyone has that ability to identify errors - he must know the Bible very well first. I do see value in the Apocrypha but one would never see me refer to them to support or exegete what is given to us in the Bible.
And yes, God did choose Israel to be the recipients of His Word & Law, to the exclusion of all other tribes & peoples in the world. What we have now is indeed God's Word & that Word was brought into the World in Jesus, Who then taught His disciples, who would teach others also, including us today.
The bible I.E. the scriptures are the only writings which testify of the Messiah and how man should believe in God and what man should believe spiritually, that you can take to the bank.
Beautiful story.Jacobs well was in Genesis,it was old, Jesus shows up there to get a drink..rest is history..
word of warning to anyone who reads this,Beware of believing Inaccurate teachings, homilys from a human.
come on here or pick up the Bible and Confirm what they said is True,Called 'Trying the spirit'
just experienced it over this chptr.
when someone says about the Bible that isnt true, wether its intentional or not
is the anti Christ spirit
it will physically/spiritually infect a person just because they unknowingly believed something that wasn't True
if something isnt True, then what is it
Christ is the Truth, you can believe him 100%
We are Jews by the circumcision of our heart; we ought be referring to ourselves as Jews as does God's word.
I am only a Jew by new birth, but God's has caused me to understand those seven feast will honoured and fulfilled.
God Bless YOU!
