Jesus knew that all his disciples had been water baptised but he warns them if I WASH THEE NOT YOU WILL HAVE NO PART WITH ME WHICH SPEAKS VOLUMES OF A GREATER BAPTISM OF The H.G. an INTERNAL cleanser OF OUR HEARTS I.E. BY HIS WORDS. TH h.g fell on them that heard his WORDS TH GOSPEL.

True baptism is a cleansing of the inner man. As the Christ said, "cleanse first that which is within," making the turning of the water to wine the simplest, most eloquent metaphor representing the baptism which his words bring to the heart of the believer: 1) the waterpots were for washing; 2) wine, as a spirit, represents the Spirit; and 3) drinking a baptism cleanses the inner man.

"..JESUS said unto them you shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall you be baptized.." How gentle the Lord is with us! He doesn't tell them how they are unfit for even the presence of God, and how dare they imagine that they should be put in the worshipful place at God's right hand! But Jesus shows us how that He is our Leader Example.

NOT H20. TH BLOOD ETC.

If we receive and believe in him he will provide a blessing each day he gives us. It's not an easy road but road worth the effort of going through.

Jesus and his disciples answer to the 2 turtle doves that had to be washed ( baptised ) by running water. Turtle doves are lovers like christ and the church are lovers but 1 of the doves had to be killed and his blood sprinkled on the living bird which is the Church, Thats y the dove descended on Christ, HE is our sacrificial dove. HE HAD NO SIN, BUT AS THE SACRIFICIAL DOVE HE HAD TO BE WASHED .

Jesus was Water Baptized in NEW Test. Times: And so were ALL of His Followers. Then in Matt.28:19 (Which is in The New Test.) Jesus told His followers to GO and TEACH all nations, and BAPTIZE THEM in the name of The Father, Son and H.G. NOBODY was Water Baptized in Old Testament Times. They Were Circumcised.

Dear A disciple {Mr or Mrs.} : Water baptisim was for the Jews of that day only as it belongs in the Old Testament. One of the benefits of our Blessed Lord and Saviors death on the cross was for the forthcoming Day of Pentecost of the pouring out of the Holy Spirit speaking in tongues. Read from the book of Acts through Jude. This is the blueprint for us today.

Mr. Zielski; "Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge?" Jesus Baptized not but His Disciples did! Paul was not sent [specifically] to Baptize, but he did actually baptize! Jesus said, "He that believes AND IS BAPTIZED shall be saved; and he that believes not shall be damned." If you don't know what it is for, why don't you rather ask; instead of making up doctrine?

Verses 23 and 24: It is God's view of religion that truly matters. Those worshipping God must do so with spirit and truth.

Verse 14: Jesus revealed that if we are to gain everlasting life, we must go to him because he provides it for us.

Jesus is explaining there is no salvation in the Jewish religion. Jesus is the living water meaning the spirit of truth that removes the lies of Abraham and Jacob. Jesus teaches water Baptism for removal of sin and his disciples water baptize new followers. Jesus does not make blood sacrifices

The woman who came out to the well at noon-day, was the first one in that town whom the Lord was sent to talk to. There is so much to wonder at and learn from Jesus, how to think about others, and then how to talk to them. He came into a world where everyone was lost, and wandering aimlessly without a shepherd, and trapped in sins. Its the open heart receptive to the truth that God seeks to save.

Jn. 4:16-18; Something I noticed, after reading an embarrassing personal question on here, Jesus never did this, not even with the Pharisees. In these 3 vs. He 'led' the woman to where He could get her to admit her fault - without saying, 'how many husbands have you had.' But then - He was God and was - omniscient. But He's still our example - to "Set a watch before my mouth ..... "; Ps. 141:3.

Aavtar: Sometimes hurt and pain can run deep. I heard every curse word before I could walk that with my dad yelling at my mom. That would be doing the week when he didn't drink.Friday,Saturday night all Hell broke loose! Sounds like your life was a little harder! Only because of my new life in Christ that I could forgive my dad. Hugged him first time at the age of 34. Christ the best thing ever!

One big part of the things Jesus taught, that has always scandalized so many who think they are better than others; is how He said, "The publicans and Harlots go into the kingdom of heaven before you!" and about the woman (who was a sinner) weeping and kissing His feet; "Her sins which are many are forgiven because she loved much." Jesus nowhere condones sinning, but is ever kind to the repentant.

The Samaritan woman - nothing was even implied she was abused; she just had 5 husbands. Jesus wated to 'bring her out' tho', is why He told her to bring her husband; He knew she would go tell people, "Here is a man that told me all ....."; Jesus was 'preparing' the way for His Apostles.

Dear all. I truly enjoy reading the book of John. So much so, I can recite it with ease Cpth 4: 4 to 28.

The samarian woman at tge well reminds me of Mum.She was abused physically, mentally n sexually by my alcoholic father. Both mum n dad could not read n write. It took me 40 long years to forgive my dad for all his flaws as father n a husband.

Mum eventually left him when I was 12 years old.

Focusing on Jesus' words to the Samarian women, " True worshippers worship the Father in spirit and in truth. God/is a spirit," strikes me as being the essential message in John 4. Makes me want to know all there is about the words, "spirit and truth".

The bible on my computer lets you find all the phrases using any word you want as spoken by Jesus. I will start there.

GOD'S (Jesus) plan of salvation was not 'changed' by Paul. People want to think it was because - they don't want to follow Jesus' commandments, Jn. 14:15.They want to have an easy believe -ism, "By grace are ye saved ..... " But the words of James ch. 2 are Jesus' words also, vs. 17-26. We cannot 'pick 'n choose' through God's word; it's all, from Gen. to Rev. His Word.

Paul and Arabia; Paul didn't go to Arabia to study written words. He was an Israelite, of the tribe of Benjamin, etc. He knew the O.T. frontwards and backwards, but hadn't the 'light' on Jesus in those scriptures. That's why God sent him to Arabia - so He (God) could give Paul light on Jesus in the O.T. Jesus talked to Paul just like on the road to Damascus. Cont.

Mr. William; The Lord was speaking to the woman about salvation; and when He draws anyone to Himself to be saved, He will always shine His Light upon our innermost selves, and on our sins, so that we repent of the sins, and have a true conversion; that He may purge us from the sins, by faith in Him. Many are interested in some way to hear about Jesus; but don't want to be convicted of their sins!

I'm not sure why Jesus told the woman she had five husbands.

Jesus 'must needs go through Samaria'; because that was the only way one could get to Galilee. And it wasn't an easy walk. But He KNEW there was a woman in Samaria that was hungry for what he had; He knew she was open to His message. Jesus knows our needs, desires - even before we do. But - that does not mean we will accept His truth when our eyes are opened.

I did not live in the days of Christ, but never the less I have unwavering faith in Him because of the love and miracles that He has preformed in my behalf and my family. I am far from perfection but His merciful hand has reached out to even me.
