Also brother Charles (I hope you don't mind me calling you brother and really, we are), the 8 souls that were in the Ark of Noah are the 7 spirits of God plus the spirit of the person. The Ark represents a coffin. The lifting of the ark by the flood waters symbolizes the dead in Christ rising to meet Him in the sky. Thanks for responding.
  • Vincent - In Reply on Judges 7 - 4 years ago
Jesus said "ye must be born again " is referring to the comforter or the Holy Spirit which one has to have to enter the kingdom of God. Not the will of man but by the will of God. Can you recall the raven Noah first sent out after the flood? Well, that raven represents the spirit of man which did not leave the Ark; instead it went back and forth. Then Noah sent out a dove which represents the Holy Spirit which is the born again spirit of God. So both spirits are alive when a saved person enters the grave. If a person enters the grave without the Holy Spirit, then on judgement day, that soul will be eternally destroyed.

Sin in the garden separated all men from God.
  • Lindascooks - In Reply on Judges 7 - 4 years ago
God's word states that the soul that sinneth shall die.

If Adam didn't die spiritually, why did the Lord Jesus Christ say in John Chapter three that you must be born again of the Spirit of God?
  • Vincent on Judges 7 - 4 years ago
My question is, how come Adam lived to 930 years when God told him he will die the day he eat of the tree? Please don't say Adam died spiritually because we should know the spirit don't die.

Verse 22- Jehovah God gave them the victory and they didn't even have to fight. Trust in God will always be rewarded by Him.

That therefore explains that you must marry a Christian husband. It's more preferable.

Doesn't take a lot of fight....it does take a lot of faith

Verse 3~Those who were fearful were not made to remain and fight. This showed compassion on Jehovah God's part.

The original '300'! God uses the weak to confound the strong!

The first victory was because Gideon heard from God . It was God's time to conquer for His children. Our victories are won in the spirit realm primarily before the physical experience. See verse 13 The Medianite dreams of defeat before getting to the battle.
  • Mike Ogunleye on Judges 7 - 7 years ago
Our God is a great God, He deliver his own from their enemy. Despite the fact that Gideon's faith was shaken at the beginning the good Lord proves himself that he is the Lord.
When we surrender our will to his will he will surely take us out of our trouble.

If God wants to fight a battle, He doesn't work with majority but only those that are ready for Him
  • Peter A. Okebukola on Judges 7 - 7 years ago
God is in control of the battle for the Israelites hence victory is always sure.
  • Kaggwa Andrew on Judges 7 - 8 years ago
The fearful cannot fight with or for God, stop being fearful. when God's grace is made available, take advantage, do not be like the two Midianite men who got the full meaning of the dream but couldn't respond appropriately.
  • Kaggwa Andrew on Judges 7 - 8 years ago
fear is the foremost factor by which Christians disqualify themselves from God's service. you must despise God's enemies not fear them. shame upon the two midianite men who had a chance to escape God's wrath but never took the grace of God seriously, reminds me of Rahab the whore who took God's grace seriously and saved her self and her family.

The way God scaled down Gideon's army; I love the way God does things, He is so smart, wise.
  • Ronny ogeto on Judges 7 - 8 years ago
If we truly learn to fully trust God in His word we will be able to do amazing things with Him as our guide.
In all we do lets remember it's for God to be glorified and magnified.
  • Meesha on Judges 7 - 8 years ago
Many are called but the chosen are few! Gideon; the least of his father's house was chosen by GOD because GOD uses the foolish things of the world to confound the wise and while the wise depends on their own intellect, GOD chooses and utilizes those who knows that without GOD nothing is possible. Gidon knew his abilities weren't sufficient so Gideon could only give honor, glory, and praise to GOD.

God did not want Israel to be too full of themselves. He wanted them to rely on Him for deliverance and strength.
  • Richard on Judges 7 - 9 years ago
God wanted them to know it was Him who fights their battels for them , God did not want them thinking they could make it without Him and giving themselves glory instead of God.
  • David Moore on Judges 7:21 - 10 years ago
That verse applies to Christians today not just to people back in Judges. There are people in the church today that do not, know their place.
  • Pastor kola olugbode on Judges 7 - 10 years ago
Men should trust and identify the way of God in all sphere of life challenges , as the host of heavens are available for us to fight our battles , e.g. No weapons form against us shall prosper , if God be for us who can be against us , as Balam could not curse the children of God , when you retained your sonship in the Lord , the host of heaven will remain with you to fight for you .
  • Mercy Nderitu on Judges 7 - 10 years ago
It is a captivating chapter. Any battle against the children of GOD is God 's business and He uses the prepared and decided men. The joy riders and hypocrites have no business in the Kingdom of God.If you have them in the church they derail everything cause they are neither here nor there. i know i dont need everybody to fight the battles of my life. i only need God. AMEN.
  • Chika on Judges 7 - 10 years ago
Gideon 's army was reduced to 300, they fought the midianite armies with trumpet and lights, the midianites fought among themselves, flee and defeated.. as a child of God we are born to overcome any plan of enemy in our life..

I love the CHARACTER OF GOD which comes out vry clearly of being patient with Gideon until doubts were over God HIMSELF HELPED Gideon to do away with doubt when HE told him to go and listen wat was being said by those two men
