God spoke to Gideon, but he doubted, requested for signs to be sure, but mere human dreamt, dts the time he believed and took action. We should learn to believe God and stop disputing with our creator. What He says He will do He will do.

I am finding the book of judges to be very meaningful and captivating. I want a little bit more understanding in regards to " And the LORD said unto Gideon, The people that are with thee are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against me, saying, Mine own hand hath saved me.". Did God see that if he were to give the Medians over to Isreal who obviously were in greater numbers after the battle would Isreal become arrogant in ways and may become like their oppressors? Please advise..I am learning the bible whenever I can and I need a little more understanding on breaking terms down..Thanks

There was gideon and here is now you a servant of the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY. That the KING of ages needs no superior numbers, cowards, and dogs to proclaim and defend his gospel against the anti-christ confederacy. One man and the the Bible, coupled with righteous and holy living can slay all the pretenders of the gospel and the enemies of the cross with all their formalities and rituals in the church today. In all the congregations of hypocrites who reside in the tabernacles of bribery he will eventually purge-for His honour and glory. So be it amen and forever

I enjoyed the reading, is it possible for me to have the trivia question on this chapter?

This chapter clearly shows Gideon working with God and in full obedience to God.
He does not question God but quietly does as God commands him to do letting God have full authority.
It reminds me of a time I didn't ask God for his permission or guidance I did what I wanted to without God's counsel and experienced loss and hurt. Things do not work out well when we go it alone.
