I know your post is old (5years) Ebola is long gone. We have the recent coronavirus now. Far worse than Ebola. The coronavirus "may" be the one that Revelations speaks of. The one where 1/3 of mankind will be killed. I pray that we can get it under control but if not, come Lord. Amen.

Ebola is totally different than Leprosy.Ebola is a modern man-made "outbreak," with few cases. Leprosy having millions of cases placed in the house of Canaan is an ancient curse. The skin is "white."Ex:4:6 Then the LORD said to Moses, Now put your hand inside your cloak. Leprosy is when the skin turns "white" or pink. It was a curse sent unto the house of Canaan. LEV:14:34. Many say this is the scriptural quote that explain the genetic make-up of where Canaanites developed from. God Himself said: "When ye be come into the land of Canaan, which I give to you for a possession, and I put the plague of leprosy in a house of the land of your possession."

This chapter does a great job of informing how the law provided safety for the community. Leviticus Chapter 13 teachings on leprosy reminds me of the present outbreak of the ebola virus. Quarantine is mandatory fro this virus. I am happy to see that the world 's has accepted and is using Bible principles.

I am really appreciating these old testament as a fundamental history of where we are as God's people. Leprosy was very important to deal with in the tribal way of life. I am surprised , the detail in which the Lord prepared them, developing great skill in his people. Yet Mathew Henry usually discusses the relationship with Christ , and although he did it here, it doesn't correlate the careful nitpicking of self monitoring in generalized with in to that which is specific and concrete on the flesh.

I omitt when I read the chapter I did'nt understand what it was talking about until I read the last four verses. reading your comments gave it more clarity, yes I agree with what you said in your comments. There are a lot of contagious illnesses in the world, other people will wait until they get well before going around an spreading their illness.

It’s funny, it tells us what to do but it was never implemented. Quarantine of the ill only happened prior the renaissance in the Middle East by Arabs who had a collection of information from various countries (e.g. Greek etc.) while the church rejected scientific advancement. it reminds us of how in those times they had everything under control as far as sicknesses and illness are a concern.now people spread contagious illness around not being concerned for others and waiting till there well to go around other people so that everyone doesnt get there illness!
