  • Anne on Luke 15 - 9 years ago
Thank God for His mercy and grace toward us. I once was lost but now am found.
  • Pumulo Mufukama on Luke 15 - 9 years ago
Luke 15 gives the three dimensions of Gods love for the lost. The sheep knows its lost but does know the way back home. The coin does not know it is lost. The prodigal son knew both that he was lost and the way that leads home. This therefore provides for all the situations of the lost and the solution thereof.

How Great is our God......Truly God the Father is the source and the Provider of everything...When we depart to the source we have nothing, but even we are near to the source but we dont know the rights the authority we possess of being the son, much worst situation we have than the Prodigal son... Repent and return back to God, God and millions of angels will be Glad.......God Bless...
  • Edwin on Luke 15 - 9 years ago
Gods love is unconditional, people are like sheep..dirty,stuborn, dependent, confuse, defenseless..if we repent God is rejoicing..sometimes God allows us to suffer, on what we have done..but God is compassionate, God wants us to restore, because people are precious in His sight..
  • Mike on Luke 15 - 9 years ago

  • Pichonne Cross on Luke 15 - 9 years ago
Sometimes we forget that just we are older and have already been through trials. ...we know it all. If someone younger has found the Lord in a different way doesn 't mean that it 's wrong....it 's just different from the path god has created for you. If the young has been lost we shall seek them and seek the Lord and not go against them because of the path god has given them......be blessed

  • Maureen Cashe on Luke 15 - 9 years ago
I love the fact that our Heavenly Father is so forgiving and no matter how far we may stray from Him, He watches, He waits, He searches high and low for us. I truly do love Him!!!!! What an Awesome God I serve.
  • Gwen on Luke 15 - 9 years ago
I take great joy in knowing how there is great emphasis on the one that is lost and how such delicate care is taken to get that one which is lost.
  • Robert on Luke 15 - 10 years ago
Luke 15 is three Jewish parables for Israel. The prodical son represents Israel. This chapter has nothing to do with the church age. The chapter is explaining that Israel turned it 's back on God and left His commandments, went into the world, wasted their substance with riotous living in sin, and eventually is taken away by Nebuchadnezzar. Jesus gave them a chance to accept Him again at the first advent but they denied Him. The time the prodical son Israel will accept Christ and return will be the second advent of Christ Rev.19 11. All Israel the prodical will be saved. Verse 32 is the key. No Christian that is born again to new life in Jesus Christ ever dies out of Christ.
  • Richetta elliott on Luke 15:4 - 10 years ago
    Awesome..To God be the Glory..Amen.
  • Eaglesrock on Luke 15 - 10 years ago
The prodigal Son This is a beautiful picture of our Heavenly Father and how He forgives. He says I am not worthy to be called your son. 1st its the Father running to him. 2nd The son says make me one of your hired servants, The Father cuts Him of from saying anymore. Says quick bring the best robe, it was a robe of a prince. The older son even though he was living with his Father was also acting like a hired servant. The Father said "All that I have is yours " The older son never ask The Father for anything, he was acting like one of the hired servants. We are not servants of God we are Sons and Daughters of God. Lets start acting like His sons and not His servants. "As many as receive Him gave them power to become the sons of God " "Forget not His benefits " There are benefits for the children of God. Just don 't be satisfied just being a christian. He is EL Shadi the God who is more than enough, the one who multiplies. He is healer, deliverer, provider, peace, joy, righteousness, and forgiver of all our sins.
  • Nkosinathi Ngulube on Luke 15:32 - 10 years ago
Until we be reconciliatory, unless we be of the character of the Father, we have no credible relationship with each other at all.
  • Nkosinathi Ngulube on Luke 15:29 - 10 years ago
It was good that the father never gave him a kid to be merry with his friends, for the father knew that the elder brother might be lost and dead forever, never to repent...........God knows us all individually and He giveth according to the counsel of His purpose and plan
  • Nkosinathi Ngulube on Luke 15:27 - 10 years ago
They did not clearly know what the father was fattening the calf for. They might have had ideas before that the calf will be slaughtered one day in their own favour or for their own consumption.
  • Nkosinathi Thomas on Luke 15:23 - 10 years ago
Fatted cows are normally called vealers, as they are reared for human consumption. In this context, the Holy Bible clearly indicates that the young man had been lost for closer to a year, because of two reasons 1 a calf becomes a cow when it is a yearling. 2 a fatted calf is reared thus for veal, And it clearly shows that the father never lost faith and kept fattening the calf, which might have been born a few days before he left or a few days after he left.Such is Our Father, nothing stops Him in being our compassionate, loving, merciful, patient God
  • Nkosinathi Thomas on Luke 15:12 - 10 years ago
When he said to his father, "Give me my stuff ", it ain 't that the young man was lacking, no, he was already rich.He desired power and control, all for selfish reasons.
  • Laverne hall on Luke 15:22 - 10 years ago
This verse show me how merciful and how God grace is the only way to live. Letting God 's grace be the light, the glory of my life and kids and others ' who are willing to live for Jesus Christ our father. Amen
  • Akwasi Afrifa Ansah on Luke 15 - 10 years ago
What do we learn from these three parables Jesus spoke about. The lost sheep, the missing coin and the prodigal son. No matter how we got lost God wants to bring us back home.
  • Thornton on Luke 15 - 10 years ago
LUKE 15VS 22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet MY SINS ARE COVERED BY THIS ROBE, THIS SPEAKS ABOUT JESUS COVERING OUR SINS . AND NOW IM A MEMBER IN THE BODY OF CHRIST , AND THATS WHERE THE RING COMES IN , THATS WHY THE WORD SAYS GOD HATES DIVORCE. EPHESIANS 6 VS 10 ONWARDS SPEAKS ABOUT THE ARMOUR OF GOD , THE SHOES IS PART OF IT .
  • Maggy on Luke 15 - 10 years ago
God is able to forgive inregardless of how bad and ugly our sins are if we come unto him 4 forgiveness
  • Precious on Luke 15 - 10 years ago
I love Jesus for he forgives and forgets,I 've learnt to be humble just like the father. He didn 't search him away and told the other son to learn to forgive. What a good parent,Parents this lesson teaches a lot to us as parents.
  • Bob Cutler on Luke 15:32 - 10 years ago
I always believed that this parable was focused on redemption and salvation but as I study it seems to point to the relationship with the Father that is already established than taking off the old and putting on the new.
  • Jacob on Luke 15 - 10 years ago
I discovered that God is always searching for the backsliden christians to forgive them of their sins irrespective of the type and the gravity of sins they have comitted. Now in the verse 24 the father seeing the child coming far off did not wait for him to come to meet him at where he was standing or sitting but the father moved with a great compassion to meet the son on the way then fell on his nek and kiss him. Now the bible says when the son came to himself he said how many hired servants of my father have food enough to eat and I am here dying out hunger . Then he said i woul go but this tim not a son but a servant . But when arived the meal the father has prepare for him before was what he ate. The dresses and the jewellry and the shoes he has not been given by the father were what he was given to wear. LESSON YOUR SINS WOULD NOT CHANGE YOUR SONSHIPE TO SERVANTHOOD. JOHN 1 11 12 GOD ALWAYS FORGIVE AND ACCEPT US AS A SON NOT A SERVANT
  • Sheril on Luke 15 - 10 years ago
