There are hidden gems of good examples in the Bible. Anna is a great example. Though briefly mentioned her faith was not forgotten by our Heavenly Father and she was mentioned in the gospel accounts. Though a widow and older in years, she maintained a good spiritual routine and remained active in God Service. We should imitate her example to remain faithful to God all our lives.

Verse 51~Even though Mary may not have fully understood all that was being said or taking place, she kept those things in her heart. Mary cherished Jesus' words and actions.

Bruce?: Do you have a Nativity Scene to Show Others what it's all about? Everyday is a Good Day to Tell Others about His Birth.Preach The Good News! Glory to God for sending His own Son (God incarnate) to be born of a virgin and to die for us on the cross so that we could be saved from our sins. What a Saviour! I have not observed Christmas for over thirty years because I believe that mixing pagan tradition with His holy birth dishonors my Saviour. If God wanted us to observe Jesus' birth would He not have revealed this to us in His Word?

Thank you God, for getting me through the tough times. I know there is a silver lining, and am seeing it a bit at a time every day. Thank you for those who keep me and my family in prayer, and I keep them all in prayer as well. Thank you for getting me through my two recent classes, which I passed with A . YOU got me through it Father, and I am grateful. I love you, God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit!

God says to Moses For I am a JEALOUS God yet God also instructs Moses that human vanity jealously is a sin. God also commanded though shall not kill, yet He assisted Joshua in murdering all caanintes. Hard to inturpet as just.
  • Lilian on Luke 2 - 7 years ago
Jesus himself is the word of God he came down not to condemn us but to fulfill the scriptures. Lets give thanks to the blood of Jesus amen
  • A dsiciple on Luke 2 - 7 years ago
Insight; the Law given through Moses was right from the mouth of God; NOTHING of his own thoughts! It was for the blood that the woman was unclean in giving birth; and for bringing to remembrance the redemption sacrifice of Christ for all who are born of women, that this purification was required. The Lord Jesus Christ Himself is without sin; yet He subjected Himself to fulfill all righteousness.
  • A disciple on Luke 2 - 7 years ago
Insight; Have you not read, or perhaps forgotten, that the Covenant God made with Abraham, He established for all the son's of the Covenant for ever? and shouldn't He also who made the Covenant, when He came in flesh, Himself be subject to His own oath? Why did Jesus go to John to be baptized? Because "Thus it becomes us to fulfill all righteousness." Circumcision is a sign in the flesh, of faith.
  • Insight777 on Luke 2 - 7 years ago
V22, the days were accomplished, 8 days passed, but it does not actually say Jesus was circumcised. The purpose of the birth of Jesus is to remove false religion to establish the true religion. Jesus never circumcised anyone or teach it. Woman, Mary, is not un-pure after giving birth. NO Blood sacrifice needed. Male babies are not holy and female babies unholy. Both are holy because God gave life.

    Luke 2:52
Is a verse that I like to include in my prayers for my children and grandchildren for favor with God and men, and to be prospered in all things.

  • What a wonderful a son we have Jesus on Luke 2 - 8 years ago
It's wonderful to know Jesus so joyful!
  • Irene123 on Luke 2 - 8 years ago
    V. 46 - proves that there are no 'loner' Christians. Jesus Himself gave us this example ( Heb. 10:25) at the age of 12. And verifying scriptures are: Matt.12:9; 13:54; Mk.1:21, 29; Lk.4:38; 6:6; Jn.6:59; 12:42; and on and on. Rom. 10:14 - How can they hear without a preacher; 1 Tim. 4:14 - a Preacher (pastor) has hands laid on him by Holy Ghost filled men for God's spirit to 'ordain' him.
  • Peter A. Okebukola on Luke 2 - 8 years ago
Luke 2: Although Joseph and Mary were in Galilee, their first-born Jesus was prophesied to be born in Bethlehem, several miles away. God made it happen through Augustus' decree on taxation. God's words are yeah and amen. No jot goes unfulfilled. This chapter reports the birth of our Our Lord and Saviour Jesus and His early days. God made man. Praise God on high.
  • Irene123 on Luke 2 - 8 years ago
Jesus was not a hypocrite, Matt. 23:3; He LIVED what He taught.
  • Irene123 on Luke 2 - 8 years ago
To make God, in His magnificent Glory, His Beauty Of Holiness, His Perfect Majesty, the fact that He's our - SAVIOR!! He was spit on, scourged, given stripes (lashes) for our HEALING, nailed, NAILED to a cross!! - to put Him in a place of - just a man, that would 'talk back to His parents' - isn't right at all ................
  • Kevin on Luke 2 - 8 years ago
The only son, I think, that could talk back to His parents and not be disciplined. Luke 2:49.
  • Bruce on Luke 2 - 8 years ago
The shepherds were very frightened and in awe, suddenly there was a multitude of angels saying,Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace, good will toward men. And when the shepherds saw, they were overflowing with joy and told everybody! We to will tell everybody, when The Spirit is born in us. Called: John 6:44, forgiving: 1John1:9/will be Baptized: Matthew 3:11/made new: 2Corinthians 5:17
  • Irene123 on Luke 2 - 8 years ago
Vs. 8-12; every time I read these - I hear Linus; I am 74, but as with most adults I watched it with my kids. That scene with Linus will always be special to me. It was the only time 'religion' was allowed in a child's show.
  • A disciple on Luke 2 - 8 years ago
"And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds." There has never been a problem with news and information getting out among the people, and all Israel knew what was reported about Jesus coming into the world. We too have been told all things by God.
  • A disciple on Luke 2 - 8 years ago
"And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord." God in His great love and very good purposes has always had in His heart to save man, and to undo what the devil and sin has done to destroy us. Oh that all His works would praise Him!
  • Irene123 on Luke 2 - 8 years ago
To O. Bakre - I like the way you grouped the names together under one subject. Makes researching them easy. The Lord blessed you with that idea.
