Wow it is like revelations and Luke are all coming together in our lifetime,praise God and Jesus to send the Holy Spirit to all believers to help them through this.The Wonderful and terrible day of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to come back and seperate the wheat from the tares.To put satan in his place.To bring peace that goes beyond understanding to a troubled world.

36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.... NOTE: In 2020 the whole world /all mankind are scratching both their head and bottom side at the same time because where applicable, that mention above is either happening or about to happen. All the countries of the world will be against Israel. The AntiChrist will come from the old Roman Empire, probably. Gog and Magog China and Russia and of course the entire middle east, but nobody will defeat Israel. America is not mentioned in the end times so we may have been nuked to some degree. I am thankful that the Bible makes it clear that the redeemed will not go the the tribulation

I have been trying to figure out the armies that will surround Jerusalem in the latter days. Gog and Magog seems to be Russia. I think Iran is another.

Verse 23: Because of the great distress that shall be on the whole earth, people will be running to safety. It will not be easy for the strong and single, how much more women who are pregnant and those breast feeding young children. We should take heed lest that day come to us unawares. May we be found faithful at Christ second coming whether we remain alive or asleep!

verse 34: And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
(this is another warning directly for JESUS to me and I am personally responsible for whether or not I took heed to myself; these mention are calling to us everyday hoping we will go a whoring after them; take heed).

V:29,30 still hold true in 2018 (world-wide); GOD's fig tree and trees never fail to timely bud; thereby warning us summer is about to return very soon; the wise farmer knows this, so the farmer prepares the soil, BECAUSE life or death for him will be determined by whether the farmers timely plant and harvest a crop / food. The catching away is so secret. I thought this scriptiure was refering to this event but its not its the second coming of jesus after the 7 years of tribulation seeing we are so close to second coming how much closer are we to the catching away or rapture get ready get ready.

The things that must come to pass upon the earth to bring about the end, require for the Elect to be here for witnesses and teachers and signs for instruction from God, to the world of the ungodly; that all men might be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. The fore-warnings of Jesus and His telling us everything that has to happen, is for us to0 befully equipped to endure true to the end.

Ivan; there are so many Scriptures that we are given to guide us through the temptations and troubles of this present evil world. We are not better than our fathers the Saints and Prophets who went before us: the way of the cross appointed to the Master is also our appointment. Remember the Word, "Here is the patience and the faith of the Saints; here are they who keep the commandments of God."

Ivan Egipciaco; The Saints are the salt of the earth which keep it from completely corrupting; and in that sense, you are right. But the fundamental error in the idea you mentioned, is that somehow the ungodly WOULD BE GOOD, if only the Christians were still around. And that is not true. But it is for hardening their hearts and no love of the truth, that God gives them up be no more restrained.

Answering 3/20/2018, Comment by "Ivan Egipciaco" This has become a very popular, albeit completely un-scriptural AND anti-scriptural, and no matter how much someone pretends any specially selected verse to mean something that the entire rest of the Bible contradicts, CAN'T MAKE IT TRUE! Look back to Genesis 11:1-9. The LORD already pronounced doom and foretold Antichrist spirit from the beginning.

I'm not a Bible scholar definitely not a prophet I am a Christian by choice. This passage has meaning to me. Because I've seen so much evil in my life. Also kindness from people I didn't know. As a Christian I want Peace of mind only God can offer

Paul declares that something is withholding the appearance of the Anti-Christ? And that he will not appear until that which withholds him is taken out of the way. The only power that can do that is the Holy Spirit and He is omnipresent so He is not going anywhere. The church is the only thing holding his appearance. We cannot be in the trib because no one knows who anti-Christ is yet.

This chapter holds more events, warnings, and troubles, than perhaps any other in the NT. That means it is absolutely chock-full of opportunities to lose sight of the truth, and fall into error. That is why perhaps the most important of all the verses is, "Take heed that ye be not deceived" vs 8. Our only defense against error, is truth. And truth we do not know, is useless. Read your bible! Lots!

It opens our eyes to see and begin to know what is yet to come.There is "The time" and "The sign"........We should not be deceived.
