    (2/2)

Fire, and hail, and flying swords, and many waters, that all fields may be full, and all rivers, with the abundance of great waters. And they shall break down the cities and walls, mountains and hills, trees of the wood, and grass of the meadows, and their corn.

And they shall go steadfastly unto Babylon , and make her afraid. They shall come to her, and besiege her, the star and all wrath shall they pour out upon her: then shall the dust and smoke go up unto the heaven, and all they that be about her shall bewail her. And they that remain under her shall do service unto them that have put her in fear."

    Revelation 18:4-9

Then I heard another voice from heaven say:

"Come out of her, My people, so that you will not share in her sins or contract any of her plagues. For her sins are piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.

Give back to her as she has done to others; pay her back double for what she has done; mix her a double portion in her own cup. As much as she has glorified herself and lived in luxury, give her the same measure of torment and grief.

    In her heart she says,

'I sit as queen I am not a widow and will never see grief.'

Therefore, her plagues will come in one day-death and grief and famine-and she will be consumed by fire, for mighty is the Lord God who judges her."

Then the kings of the earth who committed immorality and lived in luxury with her will weep and wail at the sight of the smoke rising from the fire that consumes her. In fear of her torment, they will stand at a distance and cry out:

"Woe, woe to the great city, the mighty city of Babylon! For in a single hour your judgment has come."

    Malachi 4:2

"But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall."

    Sun is correct.

    2 Esdras 15:28-45

    (1/2)

"Behold a horrible vision, and the appearance thereof from the east: Where the nations of the dragons of Arabia shall come out with many chariots, and the multitude of them shall be carried as the wind upon earth, that all they which hear them may fear and tremble. Also the Carmanians (Iran) raging in wrath shall go forth as the wild boars of the wood, and with great power shall they come, and join battle with them, and shall waste a portion of the land (Afghanistan) of the Assyrians.

And then shall the dragons have the upper hand, remembering their nature (Taliban); and if they shall turn themselves, conspiring together in great power to persecute them, then these shall be troubled bled, and keep silence through their power, and shall flee. And from the land of the Assyrians shall the enemy besiege them, and consume some of them, and in their host shall be fear and dread, and strife among their kings.

Behold clouds from the east and from the north unto the south, and they are very horrible to look upon, full of wrath and storm. They shall smite one upon another, and they shall smite down a great multitude of stars upon the earth, even their own star; and blood shall be from the sword unto the horse's belly, and dung of men unto the camel's hough.

And there shall be great fearfulness and trembling upon earth: and they that see the wrath shall be afraid, and trembling shall come upon them. And then shall there come great storms from the south, and from the north, and another part from the west. And strong winds shall arise from the east, and shall open it; and the cloud which he raised up in wrath, and the star stirred to cause fear toward the east and west wind, shall be destroyed (detonated). The great and mighty clouds shall be puffed up full of wrath, and the star, that they may make all the earth afraid, and them that dwell therein; and they shall pour out over every high and eminent place a horrible star.

    Chapter 4 verse 2

You have SUN. It should be Son.
  • Duncan - In Reply on Malachi 4 - 1 year ago
The reason why we need to preach repentance is because some of the Christian are just church attendees while others are the Entertained Christian this are those that go to church for entertainment and the pastors are actors in on the stage. This is a catastrophe because the actors are pretending in their roles in order to get

So churches like this have little to no words of GOD being preched hence the congregation have sins which they have not repented while others have never repented.

In a platform large like this we cannot tell who is saved who God is workin on.

So we as the salt we need to teach and rebuke

While pointing people at the cross. While reminding them of any an confessed sins to turn and seek THE LIVING GOD.
  • GIGI - In Reply on Malachi 4 - 1 year ago
    Yes, Duncan,

Jesus calls everyone to repent and believe the Gospel concerning Him so they can trust in Him for salvation. Most on this site have done that and live in Christ now. My prayer is that each of us will be given boldness to encourage those who are not in Christ to repent and believe as well. This is more difficult for some of us to do as those we witness to may receive this salvation in Christ but many will refuse and even break the relationship we have been able to nurture over time. Jesus told us we may need to lose friends and family for His sake. And that we may be mistreated or even given up to government officials for persecution or death.

So, as believers, we should do God's work "while it is still day", for the day is coming when time will be up for those who do not know Him. I know that I need more boldness to share the commands of Christ with others to repent and believe. So, prayer is definitely needed.

The comfort in this is that God know exactly how many and who will complete the elect to be saved. So, when people we know die without Him, we can know that He calls all who are elect without fail. And also that when He returns, ALL who God chose to save will have been saved. The bride of Christ will be complete and after that, no more chances for anyone as judgement will follow His return. We who are elected to salvation will rejoice that God has brought all things to completion when He brings the culmination of history and the consummation of His will on the earth and mortal men.

Then we enter the eternal state and will be with God in Christ forevermore without an cursed thing to bring us sorrow or any rebellion to concern us nor any sin to corrupt us. How wonderful that will be!

    Part B

-So john did not test death until he saw the Lord Coming back for the second time, its important to not this Event is yet to come so i encourage all of your brethren

Please repent of your sins AND FORSAKE THEM The king is coming the Judge of the whole world is coming repent of your sins in Jesus' name amen.

    And yes, John also died.
  • Duncan - In Reply on Malachi 4 - 1 year ago
First i pray that God will give us the strength to understand of His words.

Remember wisdom is the principal thing therefore in all your getting get understanding amen. ( Proverbs 4:7)

To better understand this verse please recount the event of Stephen who was martyred and before he died, He saw Jesus Christ the son of God standing on the right hand of power.

So Stephen Saw Jesus before he died.

But to answer your Question The book of Revelation is written by John one of the 12 disciples of Jesus Christ, John received the Revelation of Jesus all the word of Living God all the things he saw.

    ( Revelation 1:1-2)

1,The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: 2who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.

So here John is an old man and receives the vision of God and to be more exact he sees the vision of Jesus Christ the son of the living God appearing in Glory with his angles and this event to came and it is written in the book of revelation.

    ( Revelation 19:11-16)

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND Lord OF LORDS.

-So john did not test death
  • Pierre1939 - In Reply on Malachi 4 - 1 year ago
Hi lisalou....this is the way i look at that....TASTE OF DEATH....When Jesus said to count the cost he was telling them they had to give away everything they had...They had to give it all away...Which is death to our old old adamic nature.

....Remember Paul said i have suffered the loss of all things and count them but dung that i might win Christ.... Philippians 3:8...kjv...And some had left their families their wives and Children in order to follow Jesus....They went thru a type of death.....They tasted DEATH spiritually speaking....He that loveth wife and Children more them me is not worthy of me....They tasted death, its not easy to forsake everything you have and follow Jesus...But the early Church did that....They sold everything they had and divided the money....They tasted Death....If a man forsake not everything he has he cannot be my disciple....Thats y he told them to count the cost b/f you follow me....Its gona cost ya everything....maybe even your life...They tasted death...Alex

Gi-Gi...Yes we still use the written word but listen to what Paul is saying....1 st Cor. 13:9...We know in part we prophesy in part etc but when that which is perfect ( the New Covenant) That book in the fathers right hand....is come that which is done in part shall be done away with....Gi Gi....We don't wanna be married to the written word but to the living word...That New Covenant...Remember that image in Daniel 2 that had the head of gold....It was all in parts...From the head to the foot all in parts...But a stone cut out of the mountain had to strike the image on his feet then it was all dissolved....Even its head of Gold...Modern day Chritianity is that image....Thats y Paul is saying when that which is perfect is come ( the new covenant the book written in his blood ) The stone ( the seed of the sower that has to be sown in mans hearts... That which is done in parts shall be done away with....Yes we love the bible but the bible is not the living word...That New Covenant...The Church has to be married to Christ the living word much greater then the written word...We don't wanna be married to the written Word...the old covenant word.... but to the living word Christ Jesus....Its Christ that is the bridegroom not the bible..

..... John 5 :39...Thats y Jesus said search the scriptures ( the written words ) In them you think you have ETERNAL LIFE BUT IT IS THEM THAT TESTIFY OF ME which are living words....The H.G. The babes and sucklings as that which s born of the spirit is spirit the H.G....a living being....Our new hearts and new spirits are living beings...Much greater then written words...Thats y Isaiah is saying a lil Child is gonna lead them...a living being ...which is that spirit of truth that is gona rule all nations....Thats y the scripture is saying...2 Cor.3:6 God has made us able ministers of the New Covenant...Not of the written word but of the living word....The written word is a killer but the spirit gives life..My Words are spirit and life..gb
  • Pierre1939 - In Reply on Malachi 4 - 1 year ago
Hiya GiGi...Lemme tell you thats this New Covenant is not about written words....But about living words a living being has to be born in us which is that N.C....You are of the same mentality as old Israel...They knew the bible by heart....They were sola scriptura...But God was not pleased with Israel....They stoned most all the Prophets and rejected the Christ....The written word did not help them 1 bit....The written word answers to the lesser light...David comes to mind....Thats y God wanted a new covenant....Remember Jesus said no man desires New wine....they say the old wine is the best wine....Thats you Gi-Gi you do not understand that Jesus made a new covenant in his blood but this N.C. Requires a new bottle....A new innerman which is the H.G....You are in essence saying the O.C. is th best covenant....That OLD WINE...The written word is not the N.C....The N.C.is a birth of Christ in us...You gotta realize that Jesus shed his blood to bring in a new covenant...Which is the H.G. a living being that has to be born in us..which is our new bottle that is given the spirit without measure..Israel cd not obtain righteousness by the Torah the written word....Thats y the scripture tells us if righteousness came by the law the written word then JESUS SHED HIS BLOOD IN VAIN..Gal.2:15....And the Cross was just foolishness...Thats y Jesus refered to himself as the Son of Man....Simply b/c mankind has to birth a new innerman...A New bottle that cannot break when that NEW Covenant in given to us sinners....But you continually to lift up written words not understanding that Israel was sola Scriptura...Written word only...But there was none righteous no not one...Thus the need for a new covenant in his blood @ Calvary...Thats y the New Birth is so important....She brought forth a manchild which was her new innerman the H.G. The Children of Promise....our new bottle that cannot break living words, living beings...Gi-Gi behold the lamb of God that taketh away the sins of world.

    Alex, continued

For instruction in righteousness, so that the man of God may be perfect (complete), thoroughly furnished (equipped) unto all good works."

Alex, I pray that you will stop dissing the written, God-breathed Word of God, along with the church as a whole. Your disdain for what God calls us to respect, love, and uphold is concerning. If you truly believe that believers do not need any one else to teach them, then why do you post on here and tell people that they are in error followed by your "correction"? If what you say is true about each person learning by the Spirit without the input of others, then we can just disregard what you say because, according to your view, we have nothing to learn from you.

Alex, you know that I love and care for you, so this is not an attack on you, rather it is a logical response to what you have posted. I hope you have a good day. You do not need to respond back.
  • GIGI - In Reply on Malachi 4 - 1 year ago
Alex, God used men to spread the gospel and teach others as He commissioned the apostles and many other disciples to go and teach all nations what He had taught them. And then, He inspired men to write their teachings in letters to the churches and in the gospel accounts as well as Acts. God used Moses to write the books of the Old Testament and David and others to write their psalms.

Anyone who resists learning from others resists God's ordained way of building up the body of Christ. Your prejudice against the church is so evident, as you indicate that you are a loner and separated from any oversight over your Christian walk. Of course, we have the Holy spirit within us since our conversion, but the Holy Spirit inspired Paul to write that we are to submit to those He has put over us to teach and direct us in the Word and in how we live out our lives in Christ ( 1 Cor. 16:15-16; Heb. 13:17)

You can "keep telling me" of your take on this till you are blue in the face. I will not heed what you say because it goes against Scripture and shows a lack of humility, reveals an unteachable spirit where you lack a willingness to learn from others whom God may send to you to instruct you. You have shown by your repeated posts with the same narrative that you hold to some grievous errors that have been addressed by myself and others on this forum repeatedly.

We are told in Scripture to test what we hear preached, taught, or promulgated by people who claim to be Christians to be sure that it aligns with Scripture. The words of Scripture are our guide to sound beliefs that will keep us from straying into false beliefs. This is what God has chosen for His Church as a means for instruction and for bringing people to faith in Jesus. But, although you cite Scriptures regularly, you say that the letter kills.

We are told in 2 Timothy 3:16 that "all Scripture is given by the inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, .. continued

Thank you Jesse , I know I often forget that were thousands of people who followed Jesus and heard his words so yes , I think it's very probable that Stephen was in that crowd and Jesus may have know his fate well before his actual stoning . It's logical to think that this phrase was to do with the transfiguration because it comes straight afterwards . I remember also that it was Peter James and John who witnessed the miracle of the twelve year old girl brought back to life by Jesus . It seems these three were in some way special to Jesus and I think it was because they would be leaders after his death . These three would need the strength that witnessing these miracles and visions would give them in the future . They would be persecuted and tortured and would have to be very strong in their faith in order to stand this awful treatment and , in order to convince others of the Truth, they and us , need to be convinced in themselves because this conviction would shine through them and their testimonies and help to convince others . Always enjoy your posts thank you for replying to me .

    Jema,

Thank you so much for sharing this. That is something I had not considered before about what Stephen had seen. That is very interesting. Could this have meant that Stephen was in the crowd of people listening to those words Jesus spoke? It is possible that he could have been there, so what you are saying makes sense. Thank you again, and please know that you've explained it quite well. And also, I think you are amongst many patient and caring believers here, so nothing to be concerned about with that!

    Blessings to you!

    Alex,

The New Testament was written in Greek, so learning what the Greek translation is of a passage and gaining understanding of the Greek (that is much more exacting than English) is helpful. It is the language God used as He inspired the writers of the New Testament. We should respect that and be willing to learn from this language. Same is true of the Old Testament, written in Hebrew, which also is a language that has far more depth than English. This is the language God used to inspire the writers of the Old Testament. So few of us know these languages, so I truly appreciate it when people who do know these languages provide us with their knowledge of Greek and Hebrew. We are lucky to have Giannis and Jesse here to teach us. God uses believers to teach one another. We should be willing to make use of this way God teaches us along with what the Holy Spirit teaches us in our personal reading of the Word. It is the same Spirit that instructs in both circumstances.

I do think that most of us on this forum are here to learn from Scripture from one another, not just to post our own interpretations and not be willing to learn from others. So, we should be humble and recognize our need for one another and value how God uses each other to help us grow in faith and knowledge of Scripture and especially of Jesus Christ.

Jesse i love ya no offence....But we cannot lift up the Greek language to teach us anything of any spiritual value....As John says in 1 John 2:27....Its the Anointing we receive of him that abides in us that will teach us all things...Which is the gift of the H.G. That Promise baptism that is gona teach us all things...Remember Jesus said its the H.G. that is the gift of God....Not any certain language....But a living being that has to be born in us which is our new innerman, That New Creature....The Child of Promise....As Isaiah says a lil Child is gona lead us....Which is that which is born in us of the spirit...That Living word a living being .Unless ya receive the Kingdom of God as a lil Child you will in no wise enter there in etc...Which is that Spirit of truth that is gona rule all nations...But we cannot tells folks they need to learn Greek thats in essence is saying the H.G. The anointing wd need to learn Greek to minister or teach us all things ....As the Anointing is God....And is the Promise Child...As the woman is Rev. 12 is giving birth to the manchild....That Child of Promise that is gonna rule all nations...The anointing that is gona teach us all things....He don't need to learn Greek....He ministers to us by his SPIRIT....By my spirit saith the Lord not by a certain language....Jesse we can hear his voice without hearing any language...Jesus told Peter Flesh and blood has not revealed it unto you but my father in heaven...Which is Spirit...O.K...... 1st John 2:27 The anointing you have received of him will teach you all things...Which is a spirit...our new hearts and new spirits the H.G....That Child of Promise....Nobody needs to learn the Greek language to understand the bible....But like I said no offence in Christ Jesus...Love ya dear Jesse....
  • Pierre1939 - In Reply on Malachi 4 - 1 year ago
Jesse no offence but your take on the transfiguration is lacking....In all 3 of these transfigurations his raiment was white as snow....He was presenting to God a glorious Church without spot of wrinkle b/c of his blood....Its the Church that is that city on a hill that is the light of the world...As Matthew 5:14...He was impling that the Church is his raiment that is white as snow....i was in need of raiment and you clothe me...As Isaiah said he wd stain all of his raiment...which is the Church...There is no fuller on earth that can whiten us like his blood....Tho your sins be as scarlet ( the church) they shall be white as Snow...His Raiment was white as Snow....His face, his image was changed simply b/c he is gonna be married to the Church the bride...Thus we are gonna be made 1 with Christ the Bridegroom....We are that city set on a hill that is supposed give the world a light... Eph 5:27 That he might present to himself as Glorious Church without spot or wrinkle....His raiment was white as snow not having any kind of a spot or wrinkle....Which is us sinners that has been washed in his blood....And also Peter says he was with him on the Holy Mt when they heard this voice from heaven etc... 2 Peter 1:18....But ya gotta realize that his raiment was the Church that was made white as snow but his blood at Calvary....I was in need of raiment and your clothe me...ok lemme go

Hello Jesse . I read your reply to Lisalou and enjoyed it . The reason I gave the reference of Acts chapter 7 verses 55 and 56 is because I believe that Stephen did actually get a vision of Christ in his Father's Kingdom and , if we keep reading verses 57 and 58 , we see that those Jews who heard Stephen say , Behold , I see the heavens opened , and the Son of Man standing in the right hand of God , were deeply offended by this and it seems that this is what prompted them to stone him to death . In Mark chapter 14 Jesus says to the high priest , in verse 62 , ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power , and coming in the clouds of heaven , the high priest responds , What need we any further witnesses ? In Luke chapter 16 , just before Jesus says , There be some standing here...etc , he is talking about people loosing their life for the gospels sake , verses 24 through to verse 28 . So he prefaces his statement about some standing here with people loosing their life for his sake , which of course we all know Stephen was the first Christian martyr . If you are wondering when the high priest shall receive his similar vision , I believe that will be when he is ressurected , Zechariah chapter 12 verse 10 . I'm new to this so please excuse me while I learn how to explain myself better ! I hope people will be patient with me .

Part 2): They shall not taste of death.

    Lisalou,

Something that is unfortunate is that Orthodox rabbis use this verse to prove the Jesus Christ is not the Messiah because Jesus said there are some standing right here that will not taste of death until they see the Kingdom of God. They say that the Kingdom of God still has not been established on the earth, and the disciples are dead, so what Jesus said is not true. That is the way they see it.

But we know better. Peter, James, and John got to see the kingdom of God come before they died. They got to see Jesus completely transformed. In Luke 9:29, that word glistering, the Greek word represents emitting a light, not reflecting, but emitting. The light was actually coming out from Him, and it is the word that is used to describe lightning. So, you can imagine what the scene was like. It was not reflected light. It was not a spotlight coming out of heaven to shine on Jesus. He was literally transformed into His body of glory in front of them.

Great question, blessings to you in Christ Jesus!
  • Jema - In Reply on Malachi 4 - 1 year ago
Hello please read Acts chapter 7 , in particular verse 55 and 56 .
  • Jesse - In Reply on Malachi 4 - 1 year ago
(Part 1): They shall not taste of death.

    Lisalou,

If I may offer another perspective on this, we see Jesus saying this also in Matthew 16:28, and Mark 9:1. If you notice, after all three presentations, it immediately goes into the transfiguration of Christ. Matthew ends at Verse 28, but as soon as you go to Matthew 17:1, it talks about the transfiguration. It's the same thing right after Mark 9:1 and Luke 9:27.

When Jesus said, "there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God," I believe He was speaking of Peter, James, and John. They were the ones who Jesus took with Him up into the mountain to pray. They were the ones that were there to witness the transfiguration of Jesus.

Luke 9:29 tells us that as he was praying, the fashion (literally outward appearance) of his countenance (or face), was altered. In the Greek text, it just uses the word HETEROS. His face became different. But even with the Greek word HETEROS, meaning different in kind than He was before, it wasn't a physical change. It was a physical change into a spiritual change. Matthew uses the word metamorphosis, meaning completely transformed. In the Greek text, it just uses the word HETEROS. His face became different.

Now in Matthew Chapter 16, it is unfortunate that Verse 28 was placed in Chapter 16 because Verse 28 goes with Verse 1. Sometimes bible commentaries will stop at the end of Chapter 16 and do a five-page presentation of what Verse 28 means. All they had to do is say go to Verse 1, that there are some standing here that will not taste of death until they see the Son of Man coming.
  • TammyC - In Reply on Malachi 4 - 1 year ago
He is speaking of John, I'm guessing. John was taken up to heaven and saw everything in the book of Revelation, which included Jesus' return. It could be that other apostles had these visions as well. So, John did see Jesus' return before he passed away, technically. That's my best guess.
  • Lisalou on Malachi 4 - 1 year ago
In Luke 9:27, "...some standing here today will not see death till they see the Son of Man Coming in His glory."

How is this possible? Is Jesus saying one of His disciples never died?

Please answer, this is hard to figure out....

    Thanks

This came to me one day after morning prayer.

"Apply not The Word of God like the salve of salvation, but the Armor of Righteousness.

For salve's treat wound's and Armor prevents them."

I've seen too many "believers" treat their belief like a religious first aid kit, applying it only as needed for their life's issues. If they only knew how to dawn their armor.
  • Adam - In Reply on Malachi 4 - 2 years ago
There are two sciences: regular science and religious science.

One just uses our God-given perceptions to observe, measure, quantify, analyze, and is doesn't feel threatened by other input and adjusting and correcting.

The other is a religion based on false assumptions and hopes/desires of what they want to be true, then they try to build a bridge to that. For instance, they are desperate to believe that God doesn't exist, so every tiniest, most irrelevant scrap of info they consider as "evidence" towards their confirmation bias. They get very insecure and threatened by questions and other input that doesn't support their pre-desired conclusion. Example: if its a pharma product experiment that doesn't support the product, its considered failed and will try again until it seems like it "works." If its explaining the universe, it must not contain any supernatural forces from intelligence, otherwise its a failed experiment. If it doesn't directly support evolution, then it must not be a valid experiment. Conclusions already drawn ahead of time, refusing other explanations, refusing data, isn't science, it's a false religion in effort to fill their void of not believing in God.

So, a scientist claims we have "millions" of years- that sounds like a religious belief. There are plenty of scientist believers who would disagree. The religious bullies lie and claim they are all in total 100% consensus. Not true. Very divided.
  • Melissa Landrith - In Reply on Malachi 4 - 2 years ago
Please don't listen to scientist they are false teachers. They don't know how long is left. Only the Lord God Himself knows. He will come as if a thief in the night. So always be spirituality ready for Him.
