    Malachi 4:2,3

You that fear my name - The persons mentioned in the sixteenth verse of the preceding chapter, ye that look for redemption through the Messiah.

The Sun of righteousness - The Lord Jesus, the promised Messiah; the Hope of Israel.

With healing in his wings - As the sun, by the rays of light and heat, revives, cheers, and fructifies the whole creation, giving, through God, light and life everywhere; so Jesus Christ, by the influences of his grace and Spirit, shall quicken, awaken, enlighten, warm, invigorate heal, purify, and refine every soul that believes in him, and, by his wings or rays, diffuse these blessings from one end of heaven to another; everywhere invigorating the seeds of righteousness, and withering and drying up the seeds of sin. The rays of this Sun are the truths of his Gospel, and the influences of his Spirit. And at present these are universally diffused.

And ye shall go forth - Ye who believe on his name shall go forth out of Jerusalem when the Romans shall come up against it. After Cestius Gallus had blockaded the city for some days, he suddenly raised the siege. The Christians who were then in it, knowing, by seeing Jerusalem encompassed with armies, that the day of its destruction was come, when their Lord commanded them to flee into the mountains, took this opportunity to escape from Jerusalem, and go to Pella, in Coelesyria; so that no Christian life fell in the siege and destruction of this city.

But these words are of more general application and meaning; "ye shall go forth" in all the occupations of life, but particularly in the means of grace; and: -

Grow up as calves of the stall - Full of health, of life, and spirits; satisfied and happy.

    Hello Postmyers:

There is only one Gospel and that is the Lord Jesus Christ is God. I have no idea what those people you mentioned because I tend to Listen to God and God alone. I humbly say successful peace and joy are feelings I have within. My life experiences can also attest to it. Despite illnesses, God gives me joy and hope whether I live long or be taken away. The entire Bible is a magnificent Book-Old and New Testament. The best God ever given to human to know the real deal what really happened-History, Geography, Mathematics, Science, Economics, Political Science, English Literature, etc. If I were the King of the day, I will build a school with the foundation ONLY based on pure KJV Bible. Now I can say that in retrospect after going through all my highest educational experiences. I know we have been dumb down by men, but I am so very happy we have a God that is greater than man. I will leave you with Malachi 4:2-3 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts. Peace to you and Glory to God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

    Hello Richard:

Totally agree with you. Evil in this world is more prominent than ever. I was actually close to death twice: one I was drowning with my own water and my organs are shutting down; next my heart totally stops due to COVID. I can attest to you that there is indeed heaven and hell. I can't understand the urgency for me to re-read the Bible until I found this site. I noticed the mixture of frustrations and anger and love comments. I know in my heart these people seek truth. I also know that these people believe in Jesus Christ's Life, death and resurrection according to the scriptures. I do not understand is that we are reading the same Bible KJV and one says something and another person says different. Are we not one in God? The only explanation is that people listen to man. Malachi 2:10 Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?

Only listen to God. For example: Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Are we not understanding English? If I tell you, you are Richard and upon this rock I will build my church. Does it make sense to say you built the church? No. The rock is Jesus Christ. It tells you the story of Moses hitting the rock to flow waters for them to drink. It is a prophetic sign for Jesus Christ. That is why you read the whole chapter then a few verses down, there is reason why Jesus called Peter a Satan. We do not listen to man. Period. Now Jesus fulfilled ALL in ALL. We the believers of Jesus Christ's blood are even more powerful because we have the Holy Spirit. For 2,000 years we are led by man. We are at the end of grace whether you are old age close to death, with terminal illness, unavoidable or unfortunate accident to end our lives, or the so-called rapture. WE NEED ONLY LISTEN TO GOD

there is only one gospel, the new testament interrupts the old.. I'm just discovering how bad Christian Zionism/ C.I. scofieldism really is, i was caught up in it myself, they uses the truths in Pauls gospel to mask the lies. the big lies are, Jews have their own religion, a future physical earthly kingdom for Israel, the pre-tribulation rapture, the invention of a human man indwelt by Satan called "the Antichrist"... Satan is the Antichrist, the head of all Antichrists.. ect...

1 john 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as yee haue heard that Antichrist shall come, even now are there many Antichrists, whereby wee know that it is the last time.

this idea of a human indwelt by Satan called the Antichrist is a distraction from the many Antichrists at work right now.

hares Paul's commission from the Lord

Acts 9:15 But the Lord said vnto him, Goe thy way: for hee is a chosen vessell vnto me, to beare my Name before the Gentiles, and Kings, and the children of Israel.

16 For I will shew him how great things hee must suffer for my Names sake.

That is why eschatology isn't worth splitting hairs over; but I thought it prudent to share some of these things for it is clear that you love the Lord. My point is that "you know them by their fruits". God will reward His servants; and knows how to keep them from wrath (Romans somewhere I think). The other side of the coin is most disconcerting; those who may have some fantasy and often individualistic "vision" or rapture premonition when they are not "occupying until He comes" or putting on the full armor of God.

I see the problem not only false doctrine but a false "love" that is not truly Agape. My point to you is I suppose what's been on my heart for 40 years; that of the Tribulation; and now more than ever the urgency to give a fair warning of what it will be like for those left behind. We need to keep in mind that the Laodiceans are still a "church"; and a remnant is worthy to stand before Him now. Others in order to REALIZE they are miserable; blind; poor; naked etal it would seem must be left behind. There are many other things the enemy is doing with sins such as adultery; fornication; and general fear to keep our souls trapped in this world; although He cannot ultimately destroy a true saint of God.

Without discernment; churches tend to be either completely closeminded to a move of the Spirit or have little if any discernment and allow Kundalini or some other sick demonic manifestation to cause all kinds of bizarre behaviors. Proper distribution and use of gifts should primarily edify others; and teachers/elders should be held to the same standard as everyone else. The danger of politicizing and worshipping man (without mentioning any names) has necessitated breaking off from one church on my part early last year.

I guess hearing of your recent conversion causes me to pray rather desperately that you have lasting fruit and persevere; not immediately recieve the Word with joy then fall away when trial comes. See you soon in the sky

    Hello Postmyers:

I am not sure how many times I read the Bible from cover to cover. Every verse of the Bible is important. I do believe in the blood of Jesus Christ. I know God gave everybody the ability to think and pray for the truth according to the scriptures.

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV I am very confident and not ashamed to say that there is a pretribulation rapture. What history tells me is that we never did learn from history. Most importantly, we must be prepared to face the judgment of God through death or when we get raptured. There is only two ways to go. I am sure All would agree to go to heaven, except those blatantly refuse to believe. I respect everyone's opinion. We all agree to disagree. The truth is clear in my own reading of the Bible. I do appreciate these discussions. Agape.

    Hello Postmyers:

Thank you for the warning. I can only speak through my own life experiences with God. Surely I will read and re-read the Bible and do Gods will. Thus far I always make errors and mistakes when I trust on myself, listen to men , and please men. Then after understanding the blood Jesus shed for my sins, I only want to trust God in all my decisions, I carefully listen by studying the Bible and daily want to please God. I will expand my reading and pray that God lead us all to the truth. Thank you for our discussions.

    Hello Richard:

I cannot agree or disagree more. I just know that God speaks to all of us fellowbelievers. I do believe the mystery of "Christ in you". I have experienced many Angelic situations. I know they are from God because they are in line with all goodness discussed in the Bible. When I understood in my heart the blood Jesus shed for my sins on 11/11/21, I knew then that nothing in my flesh is righteous. So I completely depend on Jesus' righteousness. Through Faith, by trusting, and believing He will direct my paths. Unbeknownst to me, He kept His promises to me since I was young, for I confided in Him a lot, for I know nothing about the world, but I can sense something is not right to many people. There are situations that I do not even know how I could have done things on my own. Indeed there is that higher power that guided me through. Make no mistake I do understand I can never be perfect here on earth because I am still in my corruptible flesh. But I look forward for the time I get my incorruptible body. It will be great if we get raptured while we are still alive. It will be a surprised for some. We can only pray. So we comfort one another.

the commentary is the Matthew henry commentary, one of the best commentaries around. up until the year 1830 no commentary mentions a secret rapture before the second coming of Christ, and a future earthy kingdom for Israel, theses doctrines are new within the last 100 years, popularized by C.I. scofield and his reference bible which is taught in most seminary's, 90% of American church's teach these false doctrines mixed with truth. these are Antichrist doctrines, literally replacing Christ with Antichrist, the worst group is the dispensationalist right dividers.. beware stick to the scriptures and pre 1830 commentaries

Mt 24:1 (KJV) And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.

Mt 24:2 (KJV) And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

Mt 24:3 (KJV) And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

this prophecy is about the destruction of Jerusealm as Jesus states, and Christs first coming and the end of Judaism

Daniel's 70 weeks prophecy is one of the biggest hoaxes on the modern church and the cornerstone of Israel-based prophecy doctrines, including and especially the rapture doctrine and the seven year Israel / antichrist tribulation teaching all of that comes out of the misinterpretation of Daniel's 70-week prophecy. A biblically correct interpretation of Daniel's 70 weeks prophecy absolutely shows the errors of Christian Zionism. Daniel was a student of Jeremiah's prophecy of Jerusalem's 70-year captivity by the Babylonians and you can read in verses 1 and 2 of Da 9.

underline that word desolations in verse 2, the archangel Gabriel appeared to Daniel and gave him his prophecy in the 68th year of that 70-year Babylonian captivity, The Babylonian captivity began with the removal of king Jeconius from Jerusalem and ended with the return of the remnant under Zerubbabel the 70 weeks that are determined upon thy people in thy holy city (verse 24) were God's judgment upon Israel primarily for its violation of God's law of the sabbath year which had been ignored for 490 years leading up to the Babylonian captivity. if you were wondering where that number came from...every seventh year was to be a sabbath year or a year of rest where servants were commanded to be freed and debts were forgiven that's Ex 23:10-12 for a period of 70 sabbath years or 490 years 70 times 7, Israel mocked God with greed and selfishness in refusing to cut off their personal property from the productivity of their servants and debt.

This prophecy predicts neither a seven year tribulation nor a rapture, it's not there it's man's invention that put it there, this entire prophecy is about Jesus Christ, Daniel 9:24 and the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. which is tied to Christ's completed work on the cross. Luke24:44

The Gap and rapture theory, diminishes Christ's completed work on the cross and is the foundation for the devilish doctrines contained in Christian Zionism

I have thought about these issues for the 40 or so years as a Christian. Here's my outline:

    1) People who are walking in the Spirit who are not fallen asleep. These are; in all honesty the minority in most churches today.

(See Malachi 3:16-18 to understand this issue of those written in the Book of Remembrance and their characteristics).

    2) People who are of faith and lukewarm. It would seem that for some; even backslidden believers around right now; that they will miss the Rapture if indeed it is a REWARD issue and not merely a salvation one. Such verses as Rev. 3:4-6 and 18-19 seem to show garments made white; and that further on in Rev. 7:9-14 it would seem that indeed these are believers whose garments were NOT unspotted as Eph. 5:27; Jude 1:23 and others who needed to bear fruit in the Tribulation (word comes from the word Tribulum which has to do with a quick wheat harvest in the hot sun).

    3) New believers: Since the nation of Israel has had the truth hidden until the fullness of the gentiles comes in Rom 11:17-29 then it stands to reason that at least the 144,000 if not parts of the countless multitude are new believers. One third survive "going through the fire" ( Zech. 13:9).

    4) The lost. These will sadly include those who did not LOVE the truth in order to be saved...notice they had to have intellectual knowledge first to become reprobate like this. These will no doubt believe that Antichrist is Christ or the first seal rider or believe in UFO invasion or some other lie. There could be some who never heard the gospel but it seems that it will be very few.

In any event ALL those whose names are not written in the Book of Life before the foundation of the world will take the mark. ( REv. 17:18; etal).

The separation with Israel itself will likely sort those who are into mysticism such as the Kaballah; and the Talmud from those who are looking strictly for the Messiah from the O.T. I believe for mass revival the rapture must happen

    Hello Richard:

I am so glad to read your response. That is why I pray for Israelites today for their safety and salvation. They needed our prayers. Time is very short. There are people can be left behind and realizing they should have believed the gospel of Paul 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. I cannot emphasized enough that only Jesus righteousness of faith can save many today than finding at the end they have entered the 70th week of tribulation. Paul said he lie not and surely God will not lie to us for all the mysteries revealed to him for us Gentiles. For the meantime we all need to grow in grace and KJV of charity. I love hearing from you my fellow believer. Agape.

Actually, as time goes by, I truly believe it is America now (mystery babylon). God won't mention us anymore and why we're not in the bible, in positive light. He made us the right-hand man to His chosen land and people, made us the great leader to the FREE world and keep it FREE --now look at us and what we've done. We fit the bill. America has so much blood on its hands.

This is similar to Matthew 10:23 and focuses on the "Gospel of the Kingdom". In that case it will not be preached to all the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes. Given there are comments on some being put to death; speaking in front of Kings; etc. it is claer that this journey went beyond this one ventue; beyond the Resurrection at least until the Apostles were all killed. The sentiment also seems to indicate during the first part of the Tribulation as found in 2 Cor. 12:14 as well as 2 Timothy as evidence of the last days. No doubt the 2 witnesses and probably some of the 144,000 will be witnessing to leaders.

Because of that logic; I would agree as to other scriptures in Thessalonians from the "Pauline" epistles; as well as Revelation itself indicating that there is indeed a rapture at the end of the Age of Grace; once the "restrainer" is removed. ( 2 Thess. 2:6-7).

We need to be aware; as Luke 21:36 states of His return; praying earnestly. This verse about praying to be worthy seems to indicate some indeed are left behind. At the very least; we have crowns to take hold of or lose reward if not remaining faithful as Rev. 3:11 indicates. 2 Tim. 4:8 shows this; and I just realized that Psalm 40:1 before what sounds like the world's reaction to the Rapture (verse 3) seems to show an indication of the merit of us patiently waiting as a cross reference as well. The theme of patience is mentioned throughout the O.T. and N.T.; Proverbs; Romans and Proverbs being just a few examples.

In the Tribulation; once again the Jews wil be prominent in evangelism. The "blindness in part" mentioned in Romans will be lifted ( Romans 11:25). As I state many times; by the sixth seal there will no longer be any atheists ( Rev. 6:16-17). Indeed; the Kingdom coming to earth will be finally realized in short order; after the "parenthesis" which occurred after AD 70; and continued until recent times. Also see Zech. 13:8 as to God's plan for Israel and Jer. 30:7.
  • Ronnette on Matthew 24 - 2 years ago
The commentary seems to be correct in the beginning when he mentioned that Jesus was talking to His disciples about the end of time, but somehow lost the meaning that Matthew 24 talks about the Jews only.

Compare this chapter to 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 2 Thessalonians 2:3, and 1 Corinthians 15: 50-58. The messages of Jesus Christ is different messages than the Apostle Paul mentioned on the verses I sighted above. Paul revealed to Gentiles the mystery of the rapture. I really think that we Gentiles will be raptured before Matthew 24 takes place. I am convinced that some of us may still be alive when we meet Jesus in the cloud. This is the exciting part of waiting. We are in the Gospel of grace. The gospel of Paul. We try to saved as many family and friends we can saved. I pray that many will be saved. Do the readers see the timeline of events?

Dear Michele do u have a good answer: 1000 years from where?

We look at the sight do we not? Thats why all the Apostels did think that Jesus willl come back in their time, as we do. :) Here i Personal think we die and go right up to Jesus. After this life we cant find another.

God bless us all the day Jesus said the work is done. It is finished, the gift was given on Pentecost.

But we have to wait for Him to come back anyway. Because He must cast the devil, the antichrist, and the beast into the sea that boils with fire and brimstone. The last war must come.

Amen. God bless us all in Jesus name.

    Commentary for Matthew

    Wesley's Notes for Matthew 24:5

Many shall come in my name - First, false Christs, next, false prophets, Mt 24:11. At length, both together, Mt 24:24. And indeed never did so many impostors appear in the world as a few years before the destruction of Jerusalem; undoubtedly because that was the time wherein the Jews in general expected the Messiah.

People's Bible Notes for Matthew 24:5

Come in my name. As the Messiah. We learn from Josephus that enthusiasts did come about the time of the end of Jerusalem, claiming to be sent of God. Bar-cocheba, "the son of the star", appeared in A.D. 120. From time to time other deceivers have appeared.

The signs are here though I believe that we are at the very beginning. Not saying we have entered the 70th week but the way things are going on, rumors of wars, supply chain issues and the COVID almost as the dry run for all other diseases to follow, one may want to take stock of what and how they should prepare as more serious events take place around us.

We're at verse 9 and soon 10. "Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you" -- afflicted? I can only think of one thing and that's the poke -- even "churches" get money to encourage it. If you haven't watched Mike Lindells news channel about the poke you should. -- In short the poke is designed to kill you over time, if not immediately -- it can also cause miscarriages among other horrible things. There is an archive.

It is unrelated to the previous paragraph: The one about a week ago with the Ukrainian-born Jew was rather amazing too

My father who is in his 70s never though he'd see these days.

"For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places." -- the previous verse describes from 2001 to recent times -- "earthquakes in divers places" -- meaning earthquakes far underwater which have happened and have caused huge tsunamis. Just recently even a volcano exploded and could be seen clearly from space, including the pressure wave(the explosion which is too loud and doesn't cause sound but a boom).

Christ has clearly said all of this in order of what will happen.

    Hey Jamie,

My understanding is, this is the deception of deceptions and will cause the great falling away, 2 Thessalonians 2:3. Part of this deception is that the great tribulation and the wrath of God are taught as being the same thing. We must understand the wrath of God comes after the second coming of Jesus not before. Matthew 24:29-31 Mark 13:24-27.

It developed in the 17th Century, and it quickly led to an understanding that the rapture of the church would be an event separate from and before the second coming of Christ. It was made popular by John Darby, and he is thought by many to be the originator but not. C.I. Scofield, with the study bible with footnotes, helped promote this doctrine of man. It started as pre-tribulation and still mostly believed in.

We as humans sometimes look for the easy way out, and many preachers oblige to fill the money plate that makes merchandise of people, 2 Peter 2:3. Scripture does not say we will be spared tribulation it says the opposite, Acts 14:22 John 16:33. It is debated that although all Christians go through some tribulation, there is yet a great tribulation to come those true believers will not have to undergo. So, who are these, Revelation 7:13-14 Revelation 20:4

Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

The mark and saving our physical life is the temptation, that so many don't believe they will be here to face, that is the great deception. Keep from does not mean we will be spared from being killed it means to spiritually guard (watch), keep intact, Hebrews 3:6. The believers in Jesus in the past were not spared being beheaded, burnt on a stake, fed to the lions, why should we.

    God bless,

    RLW
