I think amen means, something like, thanks, or over and out, see you next time. Talk to you later.

Your gift is much needed in the prayer request room. Don't go away.

Speaking as an old street minister/ evangelist from the 80's... God still works through us.

I didn't go to college or seminary! I Have been in the school of the Holy Spirit for the past 35 years! He teaches me everything He wants me to know.

All I have to do is sit still and Listen.

    Psalm 63:6, proverbs 8:34

I'm not going to get into testimony now. I'd rather talk about the Holy Spirit. Come over to those who seek help from God; who need someone who can pray with wisdom and discernment.

This will be my last review comments what ever you'd like to call them but the Trinity has meaning I don't see most understanding either. Especially when it comes to baptism. In the name of? Well what's that mean? Use Common Sense when you ask that question. If I tell you tell so in so such in such it's done in the name of my kid what do I mean? Do I say this is done in my kids name OR do I say this is done in the name of Harold? In the name one 1 Father God his son Jesus and the who? Holy Spirit. No one days there names when baptizing. In the name of God our Father his son Jesus Christ and Jesus his Holy Spirit. If you understand how to Pray then you understand how to baptized in his name he already told us how to. He didn't need to write it out as I have because he already gave all of us the gift of Common Sense although satan has begun to strip that away from many of us as well hasn't he? I'm Always willing to come speak to others anytime if I'm ask and I do everyday in some sort of fashion and I enjoy doing it. You see when people know your real and not a judgemental person they'll listen to you. Social Media is such a simple way of being a witness. God always finds a way for us to do his will especially when he enters a thought of what he wants us to do and we don't do it he find another way. Like me I've tried to ask others to let me speak at there church or some gathering and they won't allow me to do that mainly because I don't have a degree in religious studies and that's satans excuse there giving out. They try to say it's God but deep down they know. It's called being afraid of what someone else might say not having a single bit of Faith and many pastor's are like that and I'm so sorry they are because God has to jump through all kinds of hops since many don't listen to him. But he gave us all our own free will and he never messes with that he just takes a different route. Do Christian's go to heaven and mixing the Bible with you life is a book I wrote.

I can appreciate your point & thank you for your comments, Linda, that there could well be spiritual forces behind such catastrophes & we need to be aware of this.

You will remember Job & all that he went through in the loss of his family, possessions & health. I wonder what went through his mind when the reports of his losses came to him? We do know that he did not accuse God for this great loss & in the same token, neither did he accuse Satan. He was bewildered, angry & grieving, but laid not his suffering as from God nor from Satan. So, we too, cannot always know whether our tragedies in life are a result of spiritual forces working against us, or just natural occurrences because we live in a corrupt world. Though, there would be times when we clearly see God's Hand moving on our behalf, especially when we have sought Him in prayer.
  • Linda Crews - In Reply on Matthew 28 - 4 years ago
Chris, 1. I'm thinking based on my life in California for 22 years. Anytime there is a large earthquake; people are genuinely fearful. I have witnessed people running out of the church building during service as the earth quaked.

    2. I understand the natural elements of an earthquake. That is what can be seen with the eye, and what science can explain. I believe that many times when there is something to see with the eye, there are spiritual forces (good or bad) bringing it about. I also believe that many other times things are just natural happenings. I always look for the spiritual because I am eager to see the hand of God.

Loved your comments. Love discussing the Bible with brothers and sisters in Christ.

Linda, to share on your points:

    1. I don't see the imagery you give here. Though I do agree, that when we serve the Lord, even simply abiding in Him, Satan is always around to stifle, intimidate, or destroy our joy in serving Him.

    2. Earthquakes are observed when the Earth's tectonic plates shift producing rumbles in the Earth or in the worst case, major land movements causing destruction. When they happen in special instances ( Mt 27:51, 28:2 & others), it can be true that these were also given as signs of Divine Intervention ( 1 Kings 19:11; Rev 6:12).

    3. Correct, Jesus had already risen from the dead, so the Angel of the Lord was sent to roll away the stone & to announce this great news to the Marys & to alert the disciples of this fact.
  • Linda Crews on Matthew 28 - 4 years ago
This is the first think that caught my attention in Matthew 28:1-2 When the two Marys approached the tomb, there was an great earthquake because the angel of the Lord had descended from Heaven. Three things about this: first, even when we are doing the Lord honor, fearful things may happen around us. Second, a question comes to mind. Are all earthquakes caused because of angelic activity? Third, the angel of the Lord was not Jesus because he had not yet ascended to his Father. Happy to hear your thoughts on these points.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave (his only begotten Son), that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:17 For God sent not (his Son) into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Matthew 1: 2-16 tells us who begat who from Adam until Christ. Jesus is Gods ONLY begotten SON, Joseph never begat Jesus, Mary didn't go to the sperm bank to get inseminated, But the Holy Ghost came and she conceived and bare the Son of God in the flesh.

John 5:14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: (sin no more), lest a worse thing come unto thee.

John 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and (sin no more).

I just have to go by what Jesus said.

You are wrong my friend and I all I can do is pray you find the truth of who Jesus was and is today while he may be found. Many of us read our bibles daily and more are added to the number as people are finding Christ each day. You can be one of those people. Simply call out to him while you can. You are not promised tomorrow and waiting for it may be too late.

I agree. Nkjv says to OBEY all the commands I have taught you. Many modern preachers don't teach this as not to offend congregants who hate the idea of submitting to God and obeying His Word.

Thank you Messiah for your obedience your word, and what you did at the Cross.

The great commission is teaching ALL things , the gospel is just the beginning, many seem to stop short of teaching all things he commands, this is the error of many modernist, and they wonder why it s not working so well or they are week . It all matters .

Blaspheming is forgivable except for blaspheming the Holy Ghost. But if Jesus is the Holy Ghost, if you blaspheme one you blaspheme all. When Jesus was asked when he was coming back again he said only the Father knows. When Jesus was asked if one could sit on his right and left, he said only the Father can decide this. Jesus asks that the cup of death be taken from him, was he praying to himself.

today this is how we reach the blood of Christ is through water baptism. Read Acts 2 38 above and below and also read acts 8 verses 26 through 39 these are examples of how we today reach the blood of Christ we repent and are baptized and receive the Holy Ghost and have our prayers heard. Granted we all continue to sin but now we have God's ear in prayer and are able to ask his forgiveness

No one reads the bible anymore? Or if they do they don't post their thoughts here in comments. Most comments here are years or months old . The end is quickly approaching. The love of many have gone cold. Never stop reading and learning more each time you read your bible.

Mat. 28:1-6: Sepulchar door opened by the Earthquake: was for the women, etc. to enter: Our Lord had long gone already? He is the DOOR: He did/does not need door to enter or exit a Building? He just go through the wall! That’s the kind of BODY He has? GLORIFIED BODY! Can you imagine that His Saints(US), will have the same BODY? Yes we all will? We will just think of somewhere: and be there: AMEN!

As a Bible instructor for grade school students from ages 6-12, I am convinced more than ever, that I must tell them of "The Great Commission". I tell my students that Matthew 28:16-20 is in my opinion the central focus of the Bible. The students are required to recite this passage throughout the school year which happens to be year round.

    Sincerely,
    Diana Hill-Birl
