    Mr.Lim

We have lost a Sunday school teacher in our church to tragic accident. Remember that there is no death unto those who believe that Jesus is and has conquer death! These are hard things to believe while we live in this world, we must grow through them, we will become stronger in our faith. Do not allow appearance of loss , to darken what will become ours. Eternal life with Jesus!

They are with the Jesus! Rejoice we shall all live eternally with Him where there is no more sin or death!

Note: this software did not show an "O" with the long O symbol on it as I made examples of Jo, Joel, Job, Joshua, etc... it only shows the letter J alone with the long O being deleted. Which made my post kinda confusing.

Have you noticed that the majority if not all of the ancient names of the Israelites are phrases of praise unto Jah.

His name was Jo at first... Jshua, Jel (Jo-el.. Jo-(is)-god(elohim)), Jnathan, Jb, Jnah, etc...

J morphed into Jah and Jah (Jahshua) morphed into Jeh (Jehshua) as each generation changes the language. This was due to the captivity of Israel by Babylon and other Heathen peoples. The generation of today does also. Words don't mean the same thing as they used to mean. You really look hot does not mean: that you look like your temperature has greatly risen to bring forth sweating.

The Israelites had to learn other languages of their captors. This in time changes their own language to incorporate the new language into their own.

As the good news of the Messiah (the gospel) spread quickly to other nations written in a language foreign to Israel, the name of the Messiah was changed to be more acceptable to them. The surviving testimonies of the good news named Jehshua as Isous, which later morphed into Jesus. Neither of the foreign names praised J, Jah, Jeh.

The name of Jehshua, Jahshua, Jshua was a praise to the God of Israel, but the new foreign names did not praise the most high God, J/Jah/Jeh.

John was informed by the revelation (the revealing by Jahshua to him) of the works of the deceiver he warned the disciples would come... already his name had been made void...I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and HAST NOT DENIED MY NAME.

Perfect Understanding will reveal to you that the King of Israel would NOT HAVE a foreign, Heathen name. It would be an Israelite name praisng the God of Israel.

Who will think that it doesn't matter at all to God/Jah and the Messiah what the people call him. Commandment was made to keep the people from calling him something else to make his name Useless (in vain)

In who's name was her healing asked?

Hi Michael, the Bible doesn't say we will never be sick or have hardship or suffering. It guarantees we will have them, and says we will even be persecuted for our faith. I think anyone pushing a health and wealth doctrine is pushing a lie.

    James 1:12

    Romans 5:3-5

Matthew 10:28 - says to not fear those who can do us harm but fear God.

It does say if you pray with faith you will basically get what you ask. I think this means you have genuine and pure faith, not praying for selfish things like a new ferrari. That is my opinion.

    God bless

I have a question that confused me. I am a protestant. I have been to the church for routine for more than ten years. I saw a lot of events from the church. It is written Jesus heals all manners of sickness and disease. But I saw a sister, she was a junior school teacher. Unfortunately, she got a disease, and she was the music worship group membership. But her disease hasn't recovered. Finally, she leaves us in her fourties. So, Jesus healing us if we believe him. But can I say if the people haven't been healed them are not believe the Jesus.

Amen and if everyone relied more on Him as we should instead of believing all the worldly evil, things wouldn't be so bad. Prayers for you and yours. He is the only way, truth and life!

Water baptism or not has nothing to do with sin or salvation. Baptism was a ritual first performed in the Old Testament to cleanse the temple priests before entering the temple. There were baths outside the temple for people to cleanse themselves before entering. John the Baptist performed baptisms for people to express their repentance for their sins before Jesus came. Jesus got baptized simply because of the Jewish rite, since He was Jewish.

We are now in Christ who baptizes us in His Spirit, and water baptism does nothing but get you wet, and show attendees you have repented of your sins, and Jesus is now your savior.

The unpardonable sin was when the temple leaders accused Jesus of doing miracles through the power of the devil, and not through His Father. As long as you don't accuse Jesus of performing His miracles through the devil, you are safe!
  • EmethAlethia - In Reply on Matthew 4 - 2 years ago
If you examine the context of "blasphemy of the Holy Spirit" the term is used after Jesus, doing only the perfect willvof the Father, through the power of the Holy Spirit, is accused of casting out demons through the power of Satan. Example Mat. 12:24-32, Mark 3:22-29, Luke 11:15-12:10. In all cases, in the very presence of Christ Himself, doing PERFECTLY, the will of the Father, through the perfect power of the Holy Spirit, they call the entire Godhead Satan. If you are physically in the presence of Christ doing the perfect willvof the Father through the power of the Spirit, and attribute Gods works to Satan, there is no hope for you. That's the only context for this sin. Every other sin is forgettable till the day we die. But Christ is not here on earth right now... Which is why you never see blasphemy of the Holy Spirit mentioned after He ascended.

Dear Linda, I don't really get what the problem is. Is it that you are questioning baptism in water or totally submersion in water in baptism? If you are questioning the former, the answer is that if one isn't baptised in water, while he can do it, then he cannot be saved. If you are questioning total submersion in water, then yes this is the proper method of baptism. Why wouldn't you want to do this? Are you afraid, is there a health problem or something else that makes you not to want to do that? If there is a specific problem you can discuss about it with your pastor and come out with a solution. If you just don't want to do it without having an important reason, then it is considered disobedience to God's commandment and this is something very important, you should think carefully about it.

The lack of Baptism submersion, doesn't appear to be an unpardonable sin.

Let's address why wouldn't someone want to be Baptized? Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38, Acts 10:48, Acts 19:2-7, Romans 6:3-13,

Is it fear that keeps one from baptism? 1John 4:18, trust? Psalms 56:11, that person may possibly be about to ask another gentle close friend in the Body of Christ to be the person submersing with people of close relation in there nearby or helping, while the Church leader prays or recites scripture. I've seen many believers like youth outreach baptize with Pastor helping. Depending on the fellowship. Matthew 28:18-20,

If the reason is medical, or because of very difficult situation. Luke 23:38-46,

    Matthew 10:33, 2Timothy 2:12, Matthew 16:24, Matthew 3:13-17,

    Hopefully these are all helpful

Hi Rutendo. We're not told specifically why Zebedee didn't join his sons to follow Jesus, but I suspect that a good reason would be that Zebedee wasn't called by Jesus to join Him. Jesus knew which men were to be selected to be His disciples, even as He chose Judas Iscariot who would betray Him ( John 6:70,71), so even though there were many other disciples of Jesus (those who followed Him around), only 12 were specifically selected to be with Him continually & Zebedee wasn't one of them.

Others here might have other thoughts why Zebedee continued with repairing the nets & going about his business - though he probably felt the extra workload upon him, being short of helping hands. Anyway, he probably realized then, or soon after, that this call by Jesus upon his sons, was far more important than trying to prevent them from joining Jesus.
  • Rutendo on Matthew 4 - 2 years ago
Why didn't zebedee the father of of John and James not join Jesus in going out to preach and be fishers of man when Jesus called out.

Hi; The two greatest commandments you spoke of is something I had never understood all my Christian life until 2007, then God opened my spirit to Matthew 5:19 the least commandments, you see I could quote the greatest commandments, but I did not know how to do them, so I prayed after all those years since 1981 God help me understand how to love God with all the heart, soul, mind and strength and how to love my neighbor as myself. When God revealed to me the least commandments, I wrote down around twelve hundred of them, every chapter and verse, it was from these I learned that each one teaches us either how to love God, or how to love our neighbor.
  • The Commandments and Love - In Reply on Matthew 4 - 2 years ago
    Matthew 22

35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,

36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

40 On these two commandments hang ALL the law and the prophets.

The Commandments help us keep our lives straight; but loving our neighbors with the God-kind of Love is harder than it sounds. We do it because it is a commandment.

One of my favorite stop offs is The School Master in Galatians 3, the purpose of The Law.

Emphasis on Galatians 3:29 and 4:9.

In my experience, we cannot attain to the God-kind of love (agape) until we set aside everything that is holding us back.

    * Storge - empathy bond.

    * Philia - friend bond.

    * Eros - romantic love.

    * Agape - unconditional "God" love.

Matthew 4:4 was the Lord Jesus talking about "live" as to obtaining eternal life? One thing is for sure, he is not talking about eating physical food to survive, when studying the answer, we are to live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God, should this be interpreted as all that Christ taught? When studying the four gospels, the Lord Jesus taught four different topics, the gospel, the New Testament, the gospel of the kingdom and the new covenant. These are the words that came out of the mouth of God, if we are to obtain eternal life by believing these words and then living by these words through obeying them, then this message is about how to save the soul and body by faith with works. I have often pondered about James 1:21 where the apostle taught our soul is saved by obeying the Ten Commandments written in the heart of all Christians, as the new covenant. I seen the correlation between James and Luke 10:25-28 where the Lord Jesus answered the question on how to inherit eternal life, and stated it is by obeying the Ten Commandments written in the heart.

    Sandra,

According to John Chapter 1, John was already baptizing people down at the Jordan River and preaching the coming of Messiah before Jesus came on the scene. John would have entered his ministry shortly before Jesus. Jesus' ministry began shortly after John's. Both began their ministries at the age of 30. According to Jewish law, a person could not go into the ministry until they reached that age.

So John introduces Jesus as the Messiah. John did not know that Jesus was the Messiah even though they were relatives. They probably did not know each other even though they were relatives because John's parents were elderly, and once they died, John was taken care of by the Essenes, a very Pharisaical group that lived out in the wilderness. John lived out in the wilderness his whole life.
  • Sandra on Matthew 4 - 2 years ago
Johns starting time of ministry? he was just a few months older than Jesus... His ministry started about age 30... Was John already preaching of Jesus arrival or did he start about the same time as Jesus?

    Thanks!

It's written on Gods word, and it was Jesus who said it: I'm The Way, The Truth and The Life. Your way OH God, is in the sanctuary Jesus is The revalation of God's WAY! He is the fulfilement of god's promises, like were foretold on bibles prophecy

The mercyseat, existent in the terrestrial sanctuary, was indeed already there, to prepare the way for attonement's day.

The Celestial Sanctuary, existed previously to the creation, before the foundation of the Universe!

God created Good and Perfect beeings according to His Loves's Character.

There is no reason for sin! But God, having the intension to create inteligent, freewil beings, took precautions if a rebellion, would appear. That was antecipatedly revealed, symbolicaly, at the Celestial Sanctuary.

The entire Universe accepted Christ's sacrifice on the cross, and the Justice of God's eternal Salvation Plan!
  • Manuel Marques Teixeira on Matthew 4:1 - 2 years ago
Jesus Christ's temptation, reveals his, perfect and complete, human nature. Like a king's crown, he put aside His Divine Nature, in order to vindicate The Fhather's Holyness and Character. Jesus revealed, in his human nature, which he will keep for eternity, the character of GO, also already revealed on The Word of God, containing God'd Law according to His principles of Love, Perfection and Liberty.

There is a total purpose's agreement, Identity and Divine Nature, among God The Father, JESUS, The God Almighty's Begotten Son, and The Holy Spirit!

Ther is an absolute Authority to represent God Himself and His Word, as the son of man and Son of God. He is the teacher apointed by Gos, as it's written and was spoken from God: This is my belovel Son, Him you must listen! and there is no other mediator, among men, through whom you should be saved!

God's Pardon, is an iniciative of God, Who has the right to be merciful to men, giving a second eternal life's oportunity.

Jesus condemned sin in the flesh, By his Faith on God's word, and perfect obedience to God's Law and Character.

If Gods Pardon, could be obtained from other souce or mean, it woudn't be necessary the cross. But because it's written in the Bible:- Without blood shed, there is no sin's remission! it was required from a man to shed his blood, th e just for the injust, in order to satisfy God's Law. God is Love! The character of God's principles, are based on Justice

and Mercy, thats why it's also written: Your Way Oh Lord, is in the sanctuary! and exists a Mercy sit in IT.

God's Way was challended by satan. the answer was already prepared for him or anyother that decided to present another way, apart fom Gods Character of Love. Thats why it's written: Nor by force neither by violence, but by my Spirit, says The Lord God Almighty1 At the cross, were God the father, The begotten God's Son and The Holy Spirit,

hiding His presence, in dense darkness, as it's writen on the bible.
