Let your light so shine before men so that they me see God's good work in you. Our responsibility as Christian we need to give lights to others so that through us they can see God's light. Jesus is only light of the world to walk with him we can no longer see darkness in our life amen

We should let our fine conduct and good actions show so that all can see. If we imitate God to the best of our ability and others see this, they can give praise to God and we can glorify him by our actions.

This is so true, people do not read the Bible so they look or watch other people and this is were a good Christian can help. We do not know who is watching. We need to live holy as possible to help people get saved. I love Jesus. I enjoyed this so much today. Bless all of you, gail

Because Christ is not here on earth in the flesh ,We who saved are the light of Jesus Christ in the world .The light the world sees is the light of Jesus in our lives.

Daniel; isn't it like when we talk to one another; how if we start answering before we hear everything the other wants to say, that that's how misunderstandings get started? We want to hear the Word of God COMPLETELY THROUGH, in its entirety, to know the whole of what He is saying. So, yes, the whole; chapters 5 through 7; and not to pick out the things we like best, but for the whole Word.
  • Daniel on Matthew 5 - 6 years ago
All of Matthew chapter 5? Or something more specific? It starts with the beautitudes, then different subjects. :)
  • A disciple on Matthew 5 - 6 years ago
Olivia; the "Theme" is the Glad Tidings which Jesus preached and taught everywhere for all men to believe and obey that we might be saved. Matthew 5 is the beginning and foundation of His expounding these things to His disciples: that is, how to practically perform what God commands us, in all our course in life, both toward God and toward one another. Our Father desires truth on the inward parts.
  • Olivia Hrown Jr on Matthew 5 - 6 years ago

If all people in the world would live by Matthew 5 Then the whole word could see and experience the power in the name of Jesus. Amen
  • A disciple on Matthew 5 - 6 years ago
The Sermon On The Mount is the FOUNDATION of all it means to walk with God, and be a Christian. All those things which He calls "Blessed" are the effects of His grace wrought in us and reflecting in our lives for men to see and glorify our Father. Good works, good character, good fruit, all comes from His goodness filled up and made perfect in us. If we don't do these things then we will perish!
  • Peter A. Okebukola on Matthew 5 - 6 years ago
The is the mother of all teachings of Christ. May God give us the enabling to abide in total. The enabling, of course, is the Holy Spirit.

  • Alex on Matthew 5 - 7 years ago
God is no respector of persons he loves everybody thats y he sends his sun/son and rain/spirit on the good and the bad the just and unjust. His love and mercy is beyond OUR COMPREHENSION. IF I BELIFTED UP I WILL DRAW ALL ALL MEN UNTO ME, There was none righteous no not one but while we the world was yet sinners he died for all of us,that he might rise again in the hearts of EVERYMAN VIA HIS SEED.
  • A disciple on Matthew 5 - 7 years ago
"Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your REWARD in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you." The word in the original Greek Text indicates Payment, as in Wages or Hire for some work done. Our salvation depends on our finishing the course as overcomers, and enduring true and faithful to the end. Then truly by our fruits we shall be known, of what kind we are!

The lord said let there be light and there was light..... In the beginning god created the heaven and the earth.. For god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that who ever believed in him should not perish but have a everlasting life....
  • A disciple on Matthew 5 - 7 years ago
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Some of the Blessed character traits in the Beatitudes are not just "nice suggestions" but absolutely essential character traits which must be present and working in us if we hope to receive those Blessings promised. THAT is the WORK which we MUST DO that will be the LIGHT shining!
  • Alex on Matthew 5 - 7 years ago
Sin is the trangression of the law and Jesus says he came not to do away with the law but to fulfill the law but by his death we will all get a seed an incorruptible seed resulting in a birth of Christ in us and them that are born of God cannot sin thus our new innerman cannot sin simply b/c he is born of GOD, Thats how he will destroy mans propsensity to sin thus fulfilling the law

Matthew 5:11 (cont.); Alongside knowing and feeling how much we fall short, and how utterly needy we are continually of the Lord's mercy and guidance in the way we walk through our days; the contemplation that we are suffering for Jesus' sake is most convicting and shines His Light into our innermost self. We are weak and faulty, and so its hard to always say that we suffer for being a Christian.
  • Cephas on Matthew 5 - 7 years ago
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. In God will I praise his word: in the LORD will I praise his word. The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
