The first time I read the beattitudes I could not begin to imagine what Jesus is saying. I 'm 47 years old and I have chased every physical pleasure this world offers. Jesus chose the perfect time in my life to get my full attention and say " Come and follow me and I will show you things you never dreamed ". Today when I read Matt.5 it 's like I 'm sitting on the mount listening to the most fulfilling sermon Jesus ever preached. It took time, prayer, and much pain to get here. Jesus in the morning, Jesus at noon, Jesus in the evening. I need thee every hour. Oh my precious Jesus how much I need thee.

Need encouragement and tips for rejoicing when Christians and non Christians despitefully use in return for Christ righteousness

Verse 32, a marriage is a spiritual contract between a man and a woman and God. This is an oath, a solemn pledge to stay together until death. If the marriage is broken then the woman becomes the victim of adultery. The broken pledge to God is a form of adultery that needs to be acknowledged aside from the separation between partners. Forgiveness needs to be asked of God for failing to live up to the promised union of partners to have God 's blessings. The divorce is considered a sin but a sin that can be forgiven. God loves you. The lesson of beginning again in a new marriage after the divorce requires asking Gods forgiveness again and reinforcing your determination to fulfill the loving role of wife to a new husband, renewing faith in marriage and affirmation of God 's Divine Mind. One must overcome the divorce and rest in the realization of the Power and Grace of Jesus by living a happy Christian life.

Verse 3, Blessed are the poor in spirit may affirm that people that are newly opened to the goodness of Jesus and want to follow him have the future of God 's blessings such as health, happiness, love, peace and prosperity. These are people that want to learn the scriptures so that they can understand and express their faith in God. Those that are poor in spirit can lift their vision and see that following Jesus willingly allows God 's love to flow through them in all situations. Their spirit will attain richness by being receptive to the guidance of God 's loving care.

Mat. 5:17 "Think not that I am come to destroy the law or the Prophets. I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. " Read verse 17 in context. I suggest that the term, "but to fulfill " means: 'to fill the law fuller. ' Verse 19, Does a person really want to teach that the law including the ten commandments see Deut. 5, and 6:1 in context can be ignored and subsequently broken? Doesn 't Mat. 5:27 fill up the law of adultery fuller? Mat. 5:33 fills out the Law about swearing, right? Mat. 5:38 enhances the Law "an eye for an eye, " doesn 't it? And Jesus ' Yahshua 's testimony goes on and on filling up The Law more fully. Take the fifth Commandment, for example just because Jesus obeyed and honored his parents fully, and earned the prolongation of "his days, " doesn 't mean we can disobey and dishonor our parents without penalty.

It is an uplifting vers for those who had backslided bt still willing tu stsnd up spiritualy and took where they have left but the flesh is kind of overpowering them. This vers will give them hope trust and believe and to be firm

God is so merciful and loving Father. He is faithful to his promises that goodness and mercy will always follow us. for God so love the world that He gave his only begotten Son Jesus Christ not only to save us but also to full fill the given scriptures. Jesus himself is the word of God and we are provided with heavenly manna which is the word of God. Man does not live by bread alone but by every word of God we should accept God 's word and keep his word and commandments until rapture as this is the symbol that we love God through Jesus Christ.

This script Matthew 5:6 says when you are hungry for food you eat. but to be hungry for God means to seek the things that he honor, do not do things to please "man " but put on the whole armor of God, so God is give us the spiritual food, that we need to fulfil his honor and Glory. and to keep coming back for more until we are full of God 's word. Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven..... i believed that God refers to those who are truly hungered with the spirit of God. they are thirsty, and so much desired to know more about God that it caused them to be broken, meek and humble before God... they are those who truly strive to do the will of God. so passionate to know the attributes of God. yeah my brethren this is not about earthly things. It s all about God, it s all about heavenly things.. and i believed that God will truly blessed those who are truly seeking Him in spirit and in truth and desiring to die on their flesh. God will blessed them through causing them more to be poor in spirit, that will strive them more to do the will of GOD.

it is through Christ the entire law is fulfilled ,by his Blood we are forgiven of all sins. Which the law could never do by any means because it was depending on your right doing which is impossible since we were all sinners so hence were all condemned to death ,but thankfully Jesus came in human flesh the Son of God and He was the only one who could fulfil it so that though Him we are Justified from all thinks and get to inherit all His blessings that we did not deserve by any means , the law was introduced to bring man to the end of himself . Also Remember the Law was what man brought on himself but was not what God wanted ,His main purpose is Grace that continued from our loving saviour Jesus Christ. READ Exodus 19:8 .

Bill, your comments on Jaunary 3rd are very well said and eliminate confusion on sin in the Christian life. Like it says in 1 John, when we ask God to forgive us, He will. Praise God!

Part 2 of 2: This is why Paul stated he dies daily, 1 Corinthians 15: 31 "I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily ". If I can say it like this, he was constantly putting his flesh under subjection to live saved. Humans respond to the lust of the flesh, lust of the eye, and the pride of life, this is what is in the world, 1 John 2: 16. In Galatians 5: 6 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh . In the end, a person who has not kept their flesh under subjection can still be left here when the rapture takes place because they did not stay saved, example the 10 Virgins, 5 were wise and 5 were foolish.

Part 1 of 2: Hello Bill: You are correct in that the spirit of God cannot sin. These scriptures are referring to resisting temptations. Those who are truly filled with the Holy Ghost have the power to resist temptation if they want to. However, since we are still living in these fleshly bodies we are subject to error. Humankind is made up of body, soul, and spirit. When the Holy Ghost enters, with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the spirit of God gives utterance, the old man spirit is cast out and the new man spirit Holy Ghost takes over. The soul is what will live on forever either in hell or heaven. The flesh will return back to dust. As long as a person is human you will continue to make mistakes, even in Holiness.

Here are the verses that help us understand Matthew 5 in relation to "Soul Perfection " --- Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God 1 Jn. 3:9 . As saints, we do not sin in the realm of our spirit, because our spirit has been made completely righteous at salvation. Old things have passed away all things have become new. The Spirit of God dwells in the realm of our spirit, and it is a completely holy habitation, having been justified and positionally sanctified. However, the realm of the soul is an entirely different story. Thus, the apostle John could say this: If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us 1 Jn. 1:8, 10 . The verses quoted above may sound in conflict, but they are not, when we understand that chapter 3 is referring to the spirit of man while chapter 1 is referring to the soul. Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not 1 Jn. 3:6 .

It is important to recognize that in Matthew 5 Jesus is not teaching the doctrine of justification. In other words, He is not teaching that if one would go to heaven, he must have greater righteousness than the Pharisees, in the sense of having the imputation of Christ s righteousness at salvation which makes a believer righteous in the spirit realm of his being . Rather, Jesus is teaching soul perfection, which is the idea of living completely righteous, in conformity to God s will, both inside and out unlike the Pharisees, who were primarily focused on the outside. Again, perfection doesn t mean sinless it simply means not sinning. That may sound perplexing, but perhaps it will become clearer when examining two seemingly contradictory verses in John s first epistle.

Hello Joni G.: In addition to my comment, I hope will come out, in regard to Colossians, this people were saved. They were in Christ. To be in Christ you have to put on his name by following Acts 2: 38. You cannot have just baptism. If a person has not the spirit of Jesus Christ he is none of his, Romans 8:9. Paul recognized the Colossian church as being saved and in Christ, just like him.

Bill, the moment we believed in Jesus Christ and were baptized in Christ 's death, we were added to the church, Acts 2:47.We were also transferred to the kingdom. Read Colossians 1:13. Colossians chapters 1 and 2 are good to read. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

Hello Bill: John 3: 3 "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3: 5 and 6 "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit . In order to go to heaven a person has to follow Acts 2: 38. This is the only way to be born again. The promise is to everyone. It did not stop back in the Biblical days. There was an outpouring on Azusa Street. There is still an outpouring today. God is filling people with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the spirit of God gives utterance. People need to be saved. The tribulation is coming and it is going to be worse than it is now.

Part 3 of 3 Can both of these phrases be used interchangeably? I believe they can. Jesus stated in Matthew 4 17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand . Then Jesus stated in Mark 1 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand repent ye, and believe the gospel . The point is this, if I can say it like this, people who have followed Acts 2 38 and have been filled with the Holy Ghost have a piece of the kingdom in them which is the spiritual part, the Holy Ghost part. Then the physical part which is the dwelling place is heaven. Therefore, the physical kingdom is not here on this Earth.

Part 2 of 3 If I can say it like this, the kingdom of God is twofold. First it is made up of people that have followed Acts 2 38. The book of Romans backs this up. Romans 14 17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. 1 Corinthians 4 20 For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power . Then it is a place in which to dwell which is also called the kingdom of heaven. We know this because in 1 Corinthians 6 9 and 10, no one committing those sins mentioned will be able to enter into the actual place or kingdom of God. Because we know that God will forgive a person who has committed these sins if they truly repent. This is why I stated that the kingdom of God is twofold.

I do not believe that I stated that the words kingdom of God or kingdom of heaven did not mean heaven where God resides. There is more than one heaven. This heaven and earth that we see will pass away and a new heaven and earth will take their place. You have to understand that the Bible is written to those that are truly saved. The only thing the Bible is telling the unsaved person is to get saved. The salvation plan is Acts 2 38. The church of Jesus Christ began in the Book of Acts.

Hello Bill I would like to add to my 3 part response, which not only is Acts 2 38 is for the sinners but there are other scriptures that tie into Acts 2 38. The conversation Jesus had with Nicodemus. Jesus told him that except a person is born of water and of spirit. The water being the baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and the spirit being the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the spirit of God give utterance, without these two things a person cannot enter, John 2 5 or see John 2 3 into the kingdom of God.

For many years of my life, whenever I read the phrases kingdom of God or kingdom of heaven in the Scriptures my mind automatically assumed the Bible was speaking of eternal life heaven. Entering into the kingdom was the idea of getting saved. Thus I assumed verses such as the one below were references to salvation and possessing eternal life. Except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven Matthew 5 20 . I now realize how terribly wrong I was in my former interpretation, and I am ashamed to think I put words in Jesus mouth. I have since come to understand that Jesus is not talking to those who are lost about salvation from eternal condemnation. He is talking to those who are already saved about sanctification and the need to prepare for the kingdom. Incidentally, Matthew 5 48 is the goal, or standard, by which we will be judged at the Bema. That means the kingdom of heaven in this context is not eternal life heaven, but rather the coming millennial kingdom. James Hollandsworth

Hello Bill True Christians are the salt of the Earth. However, when they have lost their savour, meaning that when they have backslide, they are in a state in which they can be cast out. A backslider has forsaken God, Jeremiah 2 19 Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and they backslidings shall reprove thee know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the LORD they God and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord God of hosts . The Lord showed the prophet Jeremiah that backsliding was a terrible offense. I imagine that God must find it reprehensible that one who knew His grace and loving forgiveness could walk away from it and return to a life of sin . In the end, I am so glad I am not a backslider, but a light that cannot be hid, Matthew 5 14.

Putting it plainly, carnal Christians are unsalty Christians, and that implies their spiritual condition is useless good for nothing fit only to be cast out! That is quite strong, but we must remember Who said it. Nevertheless, Jesus is referring to the spiritual condition, the state of the soul after salvation, which is either spiritual or carnal. Hello Bill If you examine the Beatitudes, which was part of the Sermon on the Mount, you will find that in them he is addressing the saints that is to come, especially verses 10 and 11. Also remember that the Bible is written to the saved. The only thing that the Bible is informing the unsaved is to get saved. In order to get saved you have to follow Acts 2 38. Even though a person can live a clean life does not give them an automatic ticket to heaven.

The Beatitudes, we could say, are the graces of the Christ life. Jesus audience would have rightly equated the word kingdom with Christ s Messianic kingdom. As New Testament saints, having the completed Scriptures, we understand the Messianic kingdom to be the coming Millennial kingdom, a literal period of one thousand years during which Christ reigns on earth along with his bride. Hello Bill and Robert We have to be careful that who is interpreting the Word whether or not they are truly filled with the Holy Ghost and speak with other tongues as the spirit of God gives utterance. The Holy Ghost is the one that does the teaching, John 14 26. The first thing a person wants to establish is whether they are sent by God to preach and teach the word of God. The example that is given to us on how it is very important for the one imparting the Word is saved is the encounter between Philip and the Eunuch, Acts 8 26 thru 40. God did not just send anyone, neither did he allow anyone to meet this man and teach him. God sent a true believer who had the Pentecostal experience. One who believed in Acts 2 38. This is how very important it is to have a true man or woman of God expounding the word. Everyone that claims that they have had an experience with God has not. Not everyone that cries LORD, LORD will enter into the kingdom, Matthew 7 21.

It is imperative to first examine our personal opinions when repeating what is written or when making an attempt to interpret the word of God. Whiles one is doing so, God may be saying, "I never said that ".
