  • Rhonda on Matthew 5 - 10 years ago
It really bothers me that reading some of the comments are judging their perception. You want to say that fine you can separate but never be with someone after the divorce. THAT IS UP TO GOD TO JUDGE. If a wife or husband was abused you believe the victim can no longer get married again. GOD ALSO SAY JUDGE NOT LEAST YEA BE JUDGE. Does God want to only have 1 marriage. Yes. But if you try to tell me that only tgw one 's who has been married one time are the only ones allowed in heaven you are so wrong. Are the rules changed if the spouse dies at an early age. . Must they not be allowed. I do bot believe God will keep you out of heaven. Its sad to see some of you on here.. judge. A shame 4 someone like me who is seeking the word of God.

VERSE 17,18,19 ACCORDING TO THE TEXT OF MOSES YOU ARE ENTITLED FOR PUNISHMENT FOR A SIN IF THERE ARE TWO WITNESS FOR YOUR DEED.JESUS HAS TOLD THAT YOUR SINS WILL BE FORGIVEN IF YOU DO IT UNKNOWINGLY.FROM THE TIME OF JESUS HOLY SPIRIT WILL TELL A MAN ABOUT GOOD AND BAD.FIRST TIME YOU DO A SIN YOU HAVE A GUILTY FEELING BUT SUBSEQUENTLY IF YOU DO THE SAME MISTAKE YOUR PERSONAL WISDOM WILL TELL YOU THAT EVERYTHING IS FINE AND YOU WILL GET USED TO IT.WHAT EVER YOU DO CONTINUALLY, WILL GET STORED IN YOUR MEMORY AND YOU WILL FORGET WHAT THE HOLY SPIRIT IS TELLING YOU.JESUS SAYS IF YOU DO SIN KNOWINGLY THEN THERE IS NO FORGIVENESS FOR YOUR SINS ON THIS EARTH OR IN HEAVEN.

To Barbara I am praying for u that God lead u in the way he wants u to go u no nothing can happen unless God knows about.also God loves u when he was walking the earth the people hated him did all kind of nasty things to him.u have free will remember we who belong to God the world hates us just like thy hated Jesus there is always separation if he is your husband u still must be faithful which mean u cannot be with another man in Gods eyes if u leave him unless he have been with someone then u can divorce u do not have to live with him
  • Geraldine cole on Matthew 5 - 10 years ago
What I got out of this was just to do what God said never mine what other do.if u are living with a person u are not married to u are living in sin first u must get out of that.and if u are married to a person who is not saved u can separate from the person but he or she is still your husband or wife God do not approve of divorce unless he or she has been unfaithful that is when divorce is ok God will not allow his child to continue to be mistreated he will deal with it first we must make sure we are treating God and ourselves and other right after we no that God got it remember Gods time is not our time be bless sister and brother in christ wait on the Lord Jesus he is never late.

I have been with this one person all or half of my life but they are disrespectful, mean cruel, and just right down low down I haven 't done anything to them but they just keep on mistreating me no matter what I do always insults, complaints, hateful words but I know that God sees this why is he still allowing this to happen to me . and what must I do and when and if God will ever change this situation
  • Herman Mason on Matthew 5:9 - 10 years ago
I like it 's reading about knowledge, the knowledge that we all need is the word of God,we can go but so far without Gods word, mere words would be no good if there was no God because he created all things, nothing exist without him. Every thing was made for him. Nothing made with out his existence.
  • Issak on Matthew 5 - 10 years ago
    Jesus is God
  • Leslie on Matthew 5 - 10 years ago
How I understand from verse 13 to the last verse. Is that when others see us as no longer useful they will cast us a side. So we need to work on ourselves. To be pleasing to the lord so that his light will be noticed by others. So they will want to follow our father God also. And in order to please our lord we must forgive people when they look down on us and treat them kindly so they will see Gods love in our hearts. To treat our spouses respectfully because if we fail to stay true to our husbands or wives. And if the relationship fails we will be treated as badly as we treated our past spouse.
  • Chukwudi on Matthew 5 - 10 years ago
What I understand in this chapters is , innerman is important for every life , he said blessed are those that is poor in spirit, that mean that we will learn how to be poor in spirit
  • Tonylewis on Matthew 5 - 10 years ago
I think that Jesus is teaching us that God focus more on the inner man than on the outward man... That is why he said that our righteousness has to surpass the righteousness of the scribe and Pharisee which is in today 's term is the "church folk "...
  • Geraldine cole on Matthew 5 - 10 years ago

If we are mild tempered, we will display meekness by doing Jehovah Gods will and accepting his guidance. Mildness of temper will also be evident in the way we deal with others.
  • Shay on Matthew 5:20 - 10 years ago
We need faith to overcome mountainlike obstacles that interfere with our spiritual progress and to cope with difficulties. We should not be negligent about building and strengthening our faith in Jehovah God and his promises.
  • Shay on Matthew 5:48 - 10 years ago
It is possible to be perfect as our heavenly Father is perfect in a relative sense. Jesus was here discussing the subject of love, and he told listeners to imitate God and be perfect, or comlete in their love. How could this be done? By expanding it to include their enemies.
  • Duckyzone on Matthew 5 - 10 years ago
I think many of you do not understand this chapter clearly. Jesus is not preaching all peace and appears bipolar or anger his law or changes to it is more severe and not in concert with Mark, Luke, or John...Jesus by the way did not write this it was written anonymously perhaps by an early Christian cleric 70 90 years after his death. Understanding this fact it clearly dilutes the message and allows you to know Jesus did not intend for his message to be so hijacked. But what can you do if you want to preach fear and peace to followers and make them believe fantastical tales of devils who is not real research the old testament and history of satan and miracles. There may be a message here but it is convoluted within a message by the early church writers. Considering most people during the time of Christ did not write nor read perhaps in Greek, the language of the NT, but rather Aramaic it is highly unlikely that any disciple wrote these books as well.
  • Blessed on Matthew 5 - 10 years ago
be ye therefore perfect for your father in heaven is perfect. be ye holy for I am GOD holy. THESE ARE ATTRIBUTES OF GOD THAT HE EXPECTS US TO BE. DON 'T GET OVERWHELMED AND CALL IT TO HARD. JESUS SAID HIS YOKE IS EASY AND HIS BURDEN IS LIGHT.
  • MockingBird on Matthew 5:16 - 10 years ago
