This is a powerful sermon from our Lord Jesus Christ at the mountain.

"The Law" and "The Prophets" taken together are the Tanakh -- the Jewish scripture. Christ tells us that His coming in no way means the end of the validity of that scripture. Rather, He has come to prove that it can be fulfilled, or obeyed, which the Jews (including Paul, called an Apostle) said was impossible! In another place He tells us the Two Great Commandments, upon which all of The Law and The Prophets must be hung (because doing so automatically fulfills Tanakh). These things are so despite Paul's (I am all things to all people) (I am a Roman, a Greek, and a Pharisee of the Jews) words in Galatians.

How about adding a couple of buttons that permit me to navigate to verse 5:13 and/or 5:15?

I think, Jesus is being pretty clear.... He says to the woman caught in adultery, "your sins are forgiven", He says to the man, " If you look with lust youve committed adultery" We are all adulterers in the flesh, but thanks be to God, our sins are forgiven and we are white as snow. Thanks be to God we are free and not bound. May we Love one another as Christ has loved us, and be willing to lose our lives for our brothers and sisters. Sometimes that may mean having to walk away.

I believe when you marry someone you become one and because of that casting away your mate will not change the fact that She is still your bone of bone.whoever gets involved with commits adultary because you are together until death.

God,through Jesus,made peace the power to be reconded with;sharp as a sword.

I agree with Emanuel's comment regarding following the Commandments. "Til Heaven and Earth pass," kind of says it all.

That surely God Loves ALL, and We are to pray In Jesus Name Allow me to See Through your Eyes, Hear through Your Ears, Speak through your Mouth and To Love through Your Heart and Soul Today and Every Day Ask This Of Jesus......Love All Of You!!!!!!!!!!

Let us not confuse the fact that we can not know our future, because only God knows, with a rejection of his Prophetic revelations, even if they seem confusing to us at times. They are God's Revelations and they will come to pass, whether we understand them or not. He has given them to us to help us prepare for what comes; first, by receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior, and after, by understanding what not to do while we wait for His return. Many may be tempted to receive the "Mark of the Beast" in the last days, but Jesus' warning that there is no forgiveness for this is a warning to Christians, and unbelievers alike. And when we, "see all these things, look up for your redemption draweth nigh."

I believe that we should not hold people in contempt for their weaknesses because we are all susceptible to making mistakes. No one is perfect except He who has redeemed us, Christ, The Author and Finisher of our faith.

Verse 17-20 explain that the old law isnt done away with. It is still intact. Please people repent and come back to the word, law , statutes, and commandments. The end is nigh

My prayer is, that we would not be just readers of God's words,but help us to be doers of His words,so that we all can have a part in His eternal kingdom, and be faithful till He comes,

We should love both of them.

How can we make promises when we don't even know what the next second holds in our life? Father is all knowing only he knows what our future holds. How presumptuous it would be for us to pretend to know the future when only our Father knows!

I believe this beatitude not only means understating our own sinful nature , but not becoming anestized to the dark world we live in, but by having the heart of God and what makes God mourn would make his children mourn.

I believe as readers of the word we should be doers of the word! Not saying we will not fall but we admit to our falling and ask for forgiveness and pick the torch back up for all to see not for self glory. But for the glory to god and for all to see his mercy!

This Text is reminding me as an individual who calls myself as a christian to be alert all the time since others are watching out see whether am a true replica of Christ throug my actions whether in speech, dressing, eating , drinking, chatting , making of friends. I mean every act i commit as an individual on this earth. THIS WHAT GINGERS OTHERS ALSO TO RECEIVE OR NOT TO RECEIVE THE MESSAGE ABOUT CHRIST. Hence we must always be on an alert to live a PLEASING LIFE FOR CHRIST.

Matthew 5:45-48
The last versus declare that if we claim to be christians we must love all. From sinners to saints. We can only distinguish ourselves from sinners only if we manifest Gods love on both saints and sinners.That is God's perfect love reflected within us.

For us to enter into eternal rest in God, humility, repentance and holiness are very important. Pride is forbidden.

We should endure whatever challenge we are undergoing as Christians in this world because one day we shall be clothed with crowns of righteousness!!!

The meek are those who exercise self control over the natural wild desires, they submit to God and depend on God for leading, protection, & provisions. They will enjoy God's goodness in full & shall possess the earth both now and the life after.
