In other words, to hear Him say to us on "that day " "Well done thy good and faithful servant. " I has to do the will of our Father 100 ? This leaves no room for error, and it scares me. I have been reading and trying to live it, but, I 'm still weak, I 'm human. I am not wanting to hear Him tell me to depart from me, I never knew you " Of course, I, like most want to hear Him say, "well done, thy good and faithful servant. " I guess He wants us to continue striving for the mark, continuing to shed of sin the crud of this world and to put on our "New man. "
  • Makini on Matthew 7:6 - 10 years ago
the emphasis of dogs and swine turning again to rend you is emphasis of being attacked trying to help someone who does not want it and in turn shows their disapproval by doing such. The mindset is "Just save your breath and strength lest you lose it by wasting it. " Things that are not wasted are used for the good, therefore there is profit in not wasting and the lack thereof when you waste. you have no fruit with those who do not have a desire to hear the things of God. There is no return on that investment in other words. Don 't put your money there lest your account becomes depleted.

Why would the broad road to destruction need a gate on it? All of Adam 's children are born onto that road to destruction. Romans 5 12,18

This verse shows the importance of not only reading the Bible and hearing the message, but also applying what we read in our personal lives.
  • Tml on Matthew 7:14 - 10 years ago
Narrow is just that false reachings, half truths, and easy living may be how we interpret Salvation? For me only I sinned even though I were a Christian. Repentance for me was difficult and came later in life. I was not living by God 's Word, but though I was doing well holding on to certain verses and selecting to stand on certain believes that gave the most comfornt in my times of need. Perhaps I 've been on the wide road even though I called myself a Christian and have not lived the way God explains.
  • Ray Underwood on Matthew 7:12 - 10 years ago

  • Mike on Matthew 7:13 - 10 years ago
I struggle with this verse because I cannot figure out if it ultimately means heaven or hell Or is it just talking about how we live in the here and now
  • M on Matthew 7 - 10 years ago
when we ask we will receive the the wisdom of GOD when we seek his way by reading his word daily we will not have time to look at the mistakes of others because as we read the word of GOD the word will cleanse us from all unrightousness because we will be seeing our own mistakes and not have the time to see others mistakes Knock and the door will be open and we will not hear depart from me you that work iniquity If we walk in the spirit we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh
  • Toni on Matthew 7:7 - 10 years ago
Randy read Romans 10 pay close attention to verses 8 10 You are correct God looks at the heart But the heart and mouth go hand in hand Romans 10 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation
  • Eddie on Matthew 7 - 10 years ago
This proves that you cant use one verse and make that verse what you want it to be For example Romans 10 13 says For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved In this Chapter 7 21 says Not every one that saith unto me Lord Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven We must read the whole book and pray for understanding and if we pray from the heart the Holy spirit will lead us unto all righteousness Remember This we re not really praying until God speaks back
  • Randy on Matthew 7:7 - 10 years ago
You create everything that happens to you by your intent and inward asking You ask and it comes to be by your thoughts which might not be what you are saying with you voice You can say anything from your mouth but what you get is what you are asking from within That is was is dominant
  • Toni on Matthew 7:7 - 10 years ago
We must put forth effort if we want to please God First of Jesus says ask this means we must open up our mouths and talk to God Come to Him with words The fervant prayer of a righteous man availeth much Next we have to seek that means if we want God we have to look for Him whatever we need we have to diligently seek out the answer from God and finally Jesus tells us to knock If we are standing on somebody s front porch but never take the time to knock on the door then how will they know to let us in Same thing with God if we never pray if we never call on His Son if we never let Him know we want to be saved He isn t going to open the door and that door is to the Kingdom of God I do not see this verse as talking all together about financial blessings or getting a wife or a husband or a new job this verse is about asking for the Holy Ghost and the fire If we want the Holy Ghost then we must ask for Him and must not stop until God opens that door and pours His Spirit freely upon us
  • Mr e. patterson on Matthew 7:15 - 10 years ago
Can a parallel be drawn with a politician promising everything
  • David Perry on Matthew 7:21 - 10 years ago
Simply implies that it takes more than just repeating a prayer after a minister at church You actually have to know God and walk with him through faith in Christ by the power of the Holy spirit The scriptures say that even the devils believe in God You need a saving faith A faith that only comes by the mercy of God But many of us think we have it and will be terribly sorrowful one day
  • RON on Matthew 7:21 - 10 years ago
Many people say Lord Lord only for God to do for them and what they think and want, without seriously seeking the Lord for what He wants them to be or to do. Like Lord Lord, give me a brand new Mercedes while I spend your money on beer. Or more up to date is this: Lord Lord I am a lonely Sodomite so please give me a husband. The Lord does not do your will if it is evil or wrong for you so you must know and do His will by grace through faith in Him.We are saved by grace and faith but if this does not include right thinking and actions then you need to seek forgiveness and ask Jesus to help you get it right. And he will.Once you do enter into the kingdom of God then the Holy spirit lives in you and He will deliver you from the self righteous and unrighteous works of the devil. For this purpose was the Son of god was manifested that he might destroy the works of the Devil!! I hope this helps someone.
  • James on Matthew 7 - 10 years ago

  • Ali on Matthew 7 - 10 years ago
22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I [am] God, and [there is] none else. Isaiah 45:22

DO NOT WORSHIP JESUS (PEACE BE UPON HIM). Worship only one true god, creator of the heavens and earth, your creator and creator of all things living and dead. Creator of Jesus , Moses, Abraham and Mohammad (peace be upon all of them).

If you worship jesus (peace be upon him) or any other but god, jesus will say to you:

    "depart from me……"
  • Michelle on Matthew 7 - 10 years ago
Matthew ch-7 verse 6 says to me; Don't give away your salvation to hang with the unholy, for this would be giving away your most valued treasure. These unholy people will/can drag you to hell with them if you don't put God first.
  • Jonah on Matthew 7 - 10 years ago
Matthew 7:21. What that place is telling us is that, we should not be hypocrite, we should do the work of our father which is in heaven with the whole of our mind.

What Jesus meant to say in Mat. 7:6 was: Do not reveal your holy secrets to the wicked (whoever they are) least they will trample them under their feet, and turn again and rent you."
  • LOUIS ROVELLO on Matthew 7:15 - 10 years ago
MUST CHECK EVERY WORD THAT IS SPOKEN BY AMYONE IN LIGHT OF SCRIPTURE. I CAN DISCERN THE TRUTH AGAINST THE FALSE PROPHETS BECAUSE I SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES DAILY TO SEE IF IT IS SO.
