Nehemiah is introduced in the first chapter as the son of Hachaliah. In the month of Chisleu, or Kislev, was the ninth month in the twentieth year would have been 445B.C. Shushan the palace, or better Susa, the Citadel was the winter resort of the persian kings, Nehemial was concerned about the remnant that was left in captivity, in an administrative division of a country, he began by asking his brother an certain men of Judah, about the Jew that escaped captivity and those that didn't, he than learned they were in distress, and burdened, and his eyes began to fill with water and he wanted and mourned fasted and prayed before our father, than he reminded God that he keepth covenant, and his mercies that are new every morning, for those who love him and keep his commandments, he asked the the lord to open the eyes of his he hasart, and lend an ear to here what his servant has to say, for I have sinned and fallen short of thine glory, Israel has sinned, and none of us has kept your commandments, that you commanded Moses, saying if you keep not my commandments, I will scatter you all over the nations, but if you keep them, I Will take you to the place where I have set my name, old lord I strongly request that you here me when I pray, I am redeemed by your power and your might, I am the one who drank from the kings cup to make sure that it was safe for the king. And the word of the lord is blessed.

It mean that GOD has a work for us to do.by going into highway, malls, market places, and our home and tell of his mercy and grace.and that he wants all men and women to come unto him.and be safe.it time out for playing church. It time to put christ back in home and schools and in the street.

more to the point, If you type a search for "Buku Puisi utk Yesus' Site - GOD's nama on Israel "

Another place where GOD has placed His name, Is in/on Christ. Though we have been cast out (by sin) to the ends of heaven, If HE (Christ) be lifted up (Exhault ye the name of the LORD) He shall draw all men unto HIM. He writes the commandments on our heart, To as many as recieved HIM, gave He power to become the children of GOD. If we hear His commandments, and repent, then we, who like sheep, have been scattered, shall return to the place that GOD has set His name (Yeshua/ Jesus.) The first letters in each word above Christ on the cross (marking who the lamb belongs to) are Y H V H. GOD's name

nehemiah, love for his people and the willingness to come out of his comfort zone, and do a mighty work, and gave explicite details, what to do in time of trouble, fast, pray seek his face, and how the doors was open, walk in the blessing.
  • Pastordale on Nehemiah 1 - 13 years ago
Nehemiah seems to be a call from disobedient behavior and walk in the call of God. This call requires us to be obedient to him.
It is good to know that if I mess up badly that there is a place where He has provided lots of mercy and grace; just waiting for me for the asking, repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. amen
God is waiting to bring us back into his special gathering place where we will never ever be cast from his prescence again. God bless. pastordale

This chapter of Nehemiah seems to say to me that God is a mericiful God and no matter who we are if we stray or commit sin he will bring us back to a place of restoration. God requires obedience of his word; However when we are disobedient there are promised consequences.Thsi chapter also seems to say that that the captives were praying for God's help and he provided them help from Nehemiah. God will always have a ram in the bush for those of us who repent and are backed up against the wall.

This a call for a passionate love, dedication and concern for our country of origin whereever we are. We should pray for all those in authority and for the peace of Jerusalem.

I think this means That everyone has a purpose in life, and that God want us to live out this purpose in life, by gloryfing him.Being obiedient and keeping his commandments, and having faith without works is dead. this tells me that god wants us to live our life by going about doing our fathers business means, sometimes helping those that not even realated to us, being a STONE OF HELP to someone, waking up thanking GOD for another day and reconizing GOD for who he truly is in our lives and going about our day doing his business. also we must like all keep our eyes on the sparrow and if we stray we must remember that GOD does love us and we must never forget that studing to show our self approve in his eye sight is our way of keeping close contact and having a personal relationship with GOD.A LIFE OF PURPOSE!

Those people who are returning to jerusalem from the land of captivity are the generations of actually polluted the land by the sins of their fathers. that is why God's hatred is up to fourth generation. And these people now are the fulfilled promised in the book of Daniel to go back to jerusalem for the reconstruction of the temple and rededicated the priest's office.NOTE: those who returned to God are not actually the one committed the sins from God, but the generations of sinners. In some cases you will avail God's forgiveness if you'll not lingered in repenting of your sins. No matter how big our sins God is still a just God to forgive us if we are willing to go back to Him. God chastised His children if needed so that he/she understand how deeply His love toward us.

It can also mean, if you keep my commandments and do them although you were cast out (done evil)he will bring you back to a special place God has choosen. The question is, where is that place God has choosen and placed his name there? Is it in heaven or some place on Earth. If they were cast out to the uttermost parts of heaven are he speaking of spiritual beings?
  • Savannah on Nehemiah 1:9 - 14 years ago
Though you were cast out unto the uttermost part of heaven I will bring you back if you keep my commandments seems to me God will bring you back no matter who you are saint or sinner as long as you obey him. No matter how evil you have been if you are willing to change God will bring you back.
