Does Nehemiah 13:15-21 mean we should not buy or sell on the sabbath?

2018, the human-race (especially the church as a whole) has repeated the same sins of those who GOD delivered out of Egypt. The 2018 people was given the same opportunity as those ..... and we have shown GOD we will not keep HIS COMMANDMENTS according to HIS instructions; now in 2018 it is GOD's time to take action (as HE said HE would do) on a sinful world. Verse 1~These words had been in the book of Moses for many years, but the Israelites needed this reminder so that they could correct their ways. Today we want to repeatedly read God's Word so that we can continue to progress and correct our ways.

I wish we had leaders today in our government that would take a stand like Nehemiah. What a man of God he was

V. 7 - Eliashib was an evil priest and he allowed sinners to use God's house of worship (Tobiah). Sin can so easily creep into the truth and 'muddy' it for those who aren't sold out for God, i.e. Lot's wife. If we are sold out for Him - NOTHING can separate us from the love of God.

Verse 24 mentioned that the children were not able to speak Hebrew or the language of the Jews. They were in danger of losing their identity because if they were not able to understand Hebrew, they would not be able to understand the Sacred books and instruction given at that time which was available in Hebrew at that time.

If we allow ourselves to be preoccupied with material things, our spirituality can be gradually lost. We want to make sure that we put spiritual things first in our lives.

Nehemiah 13:1 On that day they read in the book of Moses in the audience of the people; and therein was found written, that the Ammonite and the Moabite should not come into the congregation of God for ever;
Deut. 23:3 An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the LORD for ever: Judg. 17:6 In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.
Ezra. 1:2 Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The LORD God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he hath charged me to build him an house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah. And what we read in this book has more to do with rebuilding the walls. In the days of Moses, King David, Solomon and other we read that the presents of the Lord was so strong that the priests could not enter by reason of it, but this never happens in the days of Ezra and Nehemiah. The worst thing that happened here was their intent to separate themself from the heathens even putting away their wives and their children. But how could they put away their mothers for a thousand years? I think if we understand unto tenth generation and then to enter forever. Gal. 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. (Selah)

MOABITE AND AMMONITE WERE THE FRUITS OF SIN AS THEY WERE CONCEIVED AFTER THE DAUGHTERS OF LOT GOT THEIR FATHER DRUNK AND SLEPT WITH HIM.WHY WOULD THE FRUIT OF SIN BE FOUND INT THE CONGREGATION OF GOD WHERE HIS PRESENCE DWELLS. GOD DETESTS SIN AND IN HIS DWELLING YOU CANNOT FIND ANY.
