This particular chapter of proverbs reminds me continuously that there indeed are consequences to sin and that God is Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent every moment. If we remain faithful to HIS Word, we shall be blessed where our blessings may be with HIM in eternity.
God's Peace and Spiritual Joy to ALL.
One needs to balance verse 22 with 1 Timothy 8:10-12, 17 it clearly says don't put your hope in wealth, but in God and he will richly bless you (maybe not in wealth though), and we are to also be 'rich' in good deeds we do for other people.
I don't interpret this as God will reward us with money, but will richly bless us and provide us with everything we need. It says be content and don't worry and he'll provide, whether we are rich or poor. It's easier to go through an eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter heaven. A strong warning for people putting their faith in money. The LOVE of money is the root of all evil, the Bible says.
So, I disagree with the 'health and wealth' doctrine that is being taught in some Christian churches. People get the wrong impression and start thinking they have sin in their life if they're not 100% health and not 100% wealthy, then feel guilt and shame unnecessarily. There are many godly people in the Bible that died young, tragically, had all kinds of problems, physically, and financially. (Paul and Job are examples). But god richly blessed his followers with all they needed.
it is really true that it is God's blessing that maketh us rich and not by our struggle.it very important for every one to seek the blessing of the Lord n you shall be prosperous.
Wisdom brought forth here in chapter 10, is like a " Comparitive Conjuctive ". ( this works but this don't work ) (this edifies but this destroys )! Sounds simple enough, but what is it about this journey of life that seems to cloud over and fog up the obvious? Like -- beating your head against a wall will hurt but resting on a good pillar will refresh-- But the sound of heads crashing are now heard all over the world! The unregenerate is drawn to " Head Banging " just as the " Born Again " is drawn to the rest of God. One wisdom is earthy, senual, devilish, but the wisdom from above is first pure, peaceable, and gentle James 3:15 tru 18.
PROVERBS CHAPTER 10: IF YOU UNDERSTAND WISDOM HE WILL FIND YOU, RIGHTEOUS IS AN EVERLASTING FOUNDATION, IF YOU FEAR THE LORD (RESPECT) YOU WILL LIVE LONGER, AND THE RIGHTEOUS SHALL NEVER BE REMOVED BUT THE WICKED SHALL NOT INHERIT THE EARTH.
