For those of us that can hear the parable of the sower,I want to thank God your converted and listen to the Word (Jesus). The Word falls into the soil, rock, and thorn bushes. It is hard to plant seeds and how much more the Word of God in people's heart that is choked by the cares of this world ( Matthew 13:19).
I wish I could... I should have copied it, but I deleted the app and started all over again. I didn't find a bible app that I liked as well as that one, so I reinstalled it again. GUESS WHAT, it wasn't there. Only 33 verses. 34 and 35 were gone.
That's very interesting Bill. Are you able to type the contents of those mysterious verses 34 & 35 onto this thread? I would be interested to know what you're reading.
Verse 15-There are many problems and trials in life but we don't want to constantly focus on only our problems. We should also look for the blessings and be thankful for the good things that we do enjoy.
All scripture was written by the inspired by the Holy Spirit , so the Holy Spirit with in you will reveal what the Bible is saying to you . so every time we read his word the spirit reveals something new to you . the Spirit is always teaching Us as long as we are willing to listen to the quiet small voice of the Lord .
If youre interested in what proverbs has to offer in terms of anger management, I am curating a list of the pertinent ones, this is a work in progress so there may be many more, I hope in Jesus name this helps:
Proverbs 14:17 He that issoon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.
Proverbs 14:29 He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
Proverbs 15:1 A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
Proverbs 15:2 The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.
Proverbs 15:18 A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.
Proverbs 16:32 He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.
Proverbs 18:19 A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city: and their contentions are like the bars of a castle.
Proverbs 16:24 Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
Proverbs 19:11 The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.
Benjiman, as you know, the books of Exodus & Leviticus contain a huge amount of laws pertaining to every area of an Israelite's life, religious, social & personal. They were to march into the Promised Land, a land filled with heathen idol worshippers. They were to conquer the land that the Lord had given them, possess it, but not to become a part of their evil lifestyle. So many of these instructions given to them, had implications as to their behaviour given that it would be easy to conform to foreign patterns, sometimes unknowingly.
The Scripture you cite, is a part of that warning: not to cut the flesh for the dead & not to print marks on the body. Other warnings about special cuttings of the beard & head of hair, eating food with blood, prostitution & wizardry, were some other aspects of heathen life that were to be shunned.
Some heathens practised cutting of the flesh for the dead in response to the soul's departure, whether as a mark of respect or some type of propitiatory offering to a deity for the soul's destiny. And the marking of the body is similar to the tatoos of today, but not for the same purpose. Again, it was probably done as a religious exercise, in memory of a deity or of some superstition. Any voluntary cutting or disfigurement of a human body was (& is) an outrage to God's workmanship & was intolerable at that time. Sadly, it is now fashionable, to which believers sometimes succumb.
I sure wish people would seek the LORD'S wisdom in these insane times; then they would realize they've been put under a demonic spell by the media as it repeats over and over the same drivel. No wonder people are falling for whatever they're told to do! Please wake up and seek the truth!
I know proverbs 15:1 to be true bcuz ive experienced it over and over again ...throughout my lifetime if i ever was in a situation that was not in my favor, i didn't have to keep speaking my mind i just chose to walk away to help diffuse the situation. And i can truly say it works every time. Arguing or fighting is never the answer...always choose to share the greatest gift...LOVE!!! Be blessed...
I, even I, am that Michael Isaac Dale: on Proverbs 15 - 5 years ago
Evil man believed not the record from GOD, my Holy Father, but is proven to be a liar having tested THE BLOOD. He that believes on the Son of God has THE WITNESS in himself: he that believed not God has made him a liar because he believed not the record that God gave of his Son. And there ARE three that bear WITNESS in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and THE BLOOD: and these three agree in one.
In life, no human being that was created by GOD in perfect. That is why trying to be kind when you are offended, is a good way to behave wisely to all GOD's human beings.
I have proven Proverbs 15:1. I have been in situations that could have become ugly, but became lovely. We know God's word is true. Read !it, obey it and watch it become real.
GOD SAID THAT HE is ABLE TO MAKE ALL GRACE ABOUND TOWARDS ME , THAT ALWAYS HAVING ALL SUFFICIENCY IN ALL THINGS MAY ABOUND TO EVERY GOOD WORK. CORINTHIANS II CHAPTER 9:8
For Kennyj /The word of God said donot argue about the word of God arguments rest in fools .no matter who don't like what u speak in truth speak it anyway. /Steven/ God call the wicked .wicked and if u don't know God if u are doing wicked things u are wicked and u are the devil kid so get a bible and read it for your self! Don't bit the hand that speak truth to u now u need to repent .
Steve: have you not heard of tormented Spirits/men??? why do you call a man "wicked" as though he is "wicked intentionally"???? or did I misunderstand your comment?? kenny james
Tell ye, what is the Name of Jesus Christ? For his Name shall be called Jesus as he is the Deliverer, sent by God. And he is certainly the Christ, the Son of the living God. Yet, what is the Name of the only begotten Son of God? For how can a man call on the Name of The LORD if he does not know his Name? Or how can a man be saved if he will not confess the NAME of The LORD JESUS CHRIST?
Steve M; It is not a wicked heart which has departed from the LORD, who expounds the Scriptures and the Doctrine of God with wisdom of the Spirit teaching! If I speak not according to the Word, show it! But if I do teach what the Teacher has taught me so that I should "feed His lambs and feed His sheep; why does that offend you? Judge righteous judgment and put away envyings and strifes!
Steve M; "These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so." What things? The words that the Apostles were proclaiming and teaching in the Name of JESUS CHRIST; which they had not up to then heard nor understood! Except we receive them as a little child we cannot be saved!

By long forbearing is a prince persuaded, and a soft tongue breaketh the bone.

Will he make many supplications unto thee? will he speak soft words unto thee?
