There is a reason why the word "train " was used in this verse, it could have been teach. To train means to learn something and practice it without ever forgetting how to do it. When you train a child in the word of God it is something you do every day, just like eatting and sleeping, it is a part of their daily routine. The word of God is instilled in them because thier parents are examples of Christlike beings.

PROVERBS 22:6 1 22 2015 10:53PM This verse show that we must Train our children or the child into a good WAY while still young that we deliver to them the WORD OF GOD and know our Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour, As written into the BOOK OF PSALMS 12:6-7. GOD BLESS US, A-men.

Actions speak louder than words. Of course we have to teach our kids the Word because indeed that is also Jesus!! but kids look also up to their parents , Are they doing what they 're teaching??? That speaks louder to them and will stick to them, Are my parents the doers of the Word and not only hearers????

Whatever we train our children will be in them. Eventhough one can always change their character with practice the personality of a person is developed in the child stage. I believe the Word is saying do the responsible thing and impart Godly morals and wisdom into our children. So when they grow up these principals will surface to encourage the person to develop their own relationship with God. I 've seen several times where children were brought up in church and were taught by their parents and still went totally contrary to the Word of God. I 've been their myself. And some of the same guys I grew up with are still out there. I pray that their soul be saved. I 'm not changing the scripture but I think the meaning of it could be better understood this way. Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old it won 't depart from him. Even if he doesn 't do it he will know it because the parent has forfilled their duty of training the child properly.

To Train a child means to make the child know the word of God from an early age When the word is poured into the child as soon as possible the word will stand as a compass it will direct the child even if the child make some mistake along the way. The word has so much power to bring that child back on track do you know why because the word is Jesus . That is why the Lord said to Joshua this book of the law or this word of the Lord move over this Jesus shall not depart from your mouth Joshua 1:8 when we Train our children the way of God it will definitely change the course of that child's life forever

Train your children in the Tora of God! teach them his statutes and Commandments in Patience, Love and Wisdom. When they are older they wont depart from his Laws. The same is true for new converts to Christ who are to mature in faith and good works.

The bible once again highlights the value of immaterial things compared to material things. Some of the most recognized leaders in the world were of very little means, but their character has allowed them to be remembered. Jesus came for a poor family, and the bible says he didn 't own a place to lay his head. However, just about every person on earth has heard the name Jesus. No amount of riches will be able to appease god if we have lived a bad course. The name we make with God will be the determining factor.

Over and over and over again God reminds us to fear him. Fear him in love for God loves us. Phil. 4 13

Good name is a wealth, that capable of given children partway to success .

Apparently, when someone has no respect for the Holy Bible, which is God 's word, and even makes a joke about it, there is a strong chance that they were not raised the right way, which is very sad.

the Bible said train up a child in the way he should go...means teach the child all the right thing he should know whenever he should go...so that he will not depart from it..he will go to the right way....to Jesus our God our savior,our way our truth and the life..no one comes to the father except through to Jesus...

I wanted to reply to Jody 's comment. Jody, I can assure you that not every man and hopefully Christian men would ever treat a woman in this manner. If a husband is one of your desires, give it completely to the Lord and let Him guide you in that. If that 's His will, He will lead you to the right one. I know of a couple in my Church whose marriage was created in this way. My prayer for you is that the Lord would heal you from the pain and damage from these relationships. What a lovely scripture! The more we give, the better. Many people are on hard times. Let us remember to assist those who are weak.

If only the Child would listen to what the elders are saying to them about the Word of God as the scripture says " Train up the child in the way that he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it. " Thank You Lord Jesus, Lets go!!

Anger is very deadly to every Christian by that anger you 'll be led to darkness.

A child need to be taught of good behaviour very early in age so that when he or she grow up, his life will be example to others

I love the book of proverbs..God has really been shaping and molding my heart so much thru this book that it has definitely saved my life many times....keep praying and seeking God...if God can change my life for the better...God can also change you 're life around.....if you like what you been getting then keep doing what you 're doing...however if you 're sick and of being sick and tired.and you feel like nothing you do ever goes right???then don 't wait!!!seek God he " waiting on you...dont give up be winner..and and go to heaven

i am highly inspired of this bible verse because it thus stir my believe to pursue my own business to successfully and tells me that if i put more effort into business it place nearby kings and most prosperous entrepreneurs

This can be used in every day life application for the things we do ex I am only able to use your car when you don t use it

I think Pro 22 2 is speaking of the grave that finally makes all men equal as dust
