That woman who will be the boasting of her husband, a priced treasure and a true blessing to him is the one who fears the Lord. Beauty and charm, do not promise that, instead they flatter only to dissappoint.
As I struggle today for peace.. Proverbs 31:30 give the answer. A woman who fears the Lord can be trusted and her children will listen to her because she lives what she learns.
I'm fascinated that Proverbs 31 was written by a mother to her son - a king! This chapter gives advice to young men in areas their natural feelings prefer to ignore. My reaction is that drinking is for losers, not for kings or princes. As a mother my goal has not been to raise loser sons, but winners (princes and kings). It doesn't take as much alcohol as young men like to claim before they are taken off their edge with unknown consequences from lack of perception and missed opportunities. Besides, research indicates that brain damage can occur from excess drinking.
