Erica, are you asking as a Christian or as a non-believer?
  • Erica - In Reply on Proverbs 7 - 5 years ago
How has the death of Christ benefited us as Christians?
  • Patty Tozi on Proverbs 7 - 5 years ago
Praise God..At the ending of life you start to judge yourself by the wrong turns you took-- when you went the opposite way of God's way He had set up for you. Instead of a easy way out you chose the opposite. Now what do you do but suffer. Stop-- turn it around-- show the enemy of this world what you have now! GOD BY YOUR SIDE!! Now go for what God always wanted for you.... CHANGE FOR THE BETTER!!

I have learned to use wisdom if you step into a rot of Satan's Lies. If you continuously go back and forth into that sin and not ask God's forgiveness. You are slowly destroying your Body which God gave you Life with the Holy Spirit. And all you want to do is sinful Lust-drugs-smoke-drink commit self to Satan. STOP NOW! God is close to be your Judge in the end of Life. Don't let Satan rule you!!!
  • Ruben Hartness - In Reply on Proverbs 7 - 5 years ago
We do not judge anyone, good or bad. God is the one and only judge. Mat 7:1 We do have the right of spiritual discernment dividing the Word of God.
  • Prov 27:1 on Proverbs 7 - 5 years ago
I do think it can mean that and trust me the last thing we need is a Christian judging another Christian for there short comings.
  • Sunday Oladimeji on Proverbs 7 - 5 years ago
The main emphasis of Proverbs 7 is obedience to the Word of God which is the antidote of abuse sexual immorality of love called Eros between a man and a woman. The fire of this love Eros which is put in our body by God for romantic and sexual attraction towards one's spouse must not be allowed to burn towards another person other than one's spouse otherwise the implication is grievousV1-27

Does anyone else think that the harlet could be alcohol. The word Liver caused this thought. It was beautiful to me. I was in a state of love. It don t only destroy the liver, it caused my body to abort one of my twins. No condemnation please every time I look at my other one I think of it .

When we want to know Gods will, there are three things that always concur-the inward impulse, the word of God,and the trend of circumstances.God in the heart, impelling you forward,God in His book corroborating whatever He says in the heart, and God in circumstances, which are always indicative of His will.Ref:A lesson about Gods will from F.B. Harry, since you have learned the lord will lead you to expectations beyond your comprehension. You have humbled yourself and he will lift you up!
  • Harry on Proverbs 7 - 6 years ago
I think this chapter is as clear as it can be. it is a warning against being led into adultery with a beautiful and willing woman. oh, if I had taken its warning and turned back. now I live with the consequences of a foolish decision for the rest of my life. take heed, all men. she can lead you into a place of instant fun that turns into a lifetime of regret.
  • Bruce Wayne on Proverbs 7 - 6 years ago
This entire chapter is about knowing the Word of God, keeping his 10 Commandments and the apostate church which leads to hell...many. If you know the Word of God, keep his 10 Commandments then these things will keep you from the strange woman (church).

Verse 8~The young man took a bad first step by putting himself in the pathway of danger. We must avoid placing ourselves in the path of temptation.

Probvers 7 says as God children, when we keep his words and lay up his Commandments with us, we have strength to stand against satan and all his demons that try to seduce us. ( In Jesus name.)!
  • BSP on Proverbs 7 - 8 years ago
This young man failed to consider the consequences of his actions. He acted without reasoning and this led to him making a deadly mistake.

Proverbs 7:22 He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks Jeremiah 3:9 And it came to pass through the lightness of her whoredom, that she defiled the land, and committed adultery with stones and with stocks. 10:8 But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities. Revelation 18:3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
  • Lucinda Palestrant on Proverbs 7 - 9 years ago
Norm,I am sorry you think I am contentious in these matters. The Word tells us to contend for the faith.I believe what you write when you are copying scripture only. But much of what you write is your own imaginings. Proverbs 7 warns against sexual immorality, but you say otherwise.I do not hate correction. This is the end of the discussion for me.

  • Norm on Proverbs 7 - 9 years ago
John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life but the wrath of God abideth on him. Romans 2:8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Ephesians 5:6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 1 Thessalonians 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, John 11:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
  • Norm on Proverbs 7 - 9 years ago
Have you never heard of a stock market correction? Is my Father's Word not antiquated but alive and true? Is the world not already in tribulation, descending into wrath of great tribulation to be hell for the proud and haughty? Can the LORD not save? Is the Spirit of CHRIST JESUS not in the flesh TODAY? Be blessed and be saved from this hell. Amen. Proverbs 15:10 Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die. 28 The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things. 33 The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom and before honour is humility. 2 John 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
  • Lucinda Palestrant on Proverbs 7 - 9 years ago
Norm, do you believe in a 7 year tribulation?
  • Norm on Proverbs 7 - 9 years ago
Lu2677, I can come up with nothing but must teach that which my heavenly Father gives me, lest I lean on my own understanding. Be blessed. Amen John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. Jeremiah 10:8 But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities. Revelation 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
  • Lu2677 on Proverbs 7 - 9 years ago
Norm, How did you come up with the idea that Proverbs 7:2,5-27,22 is in the context of computer study of the Bible, and the stock market?
  • Norm on Proverbs 7 - 9 years ago
Enoch, why view God's Word in a historical context? This is the living Word of the living God. Verse 2 refers to studying the Word via computer causing reflection or apple in the eye. Verses 5 through 27 focuses on the financial markets of Wall Street which notes the recent market correction in verse 22. Many have dumped more money into the markets after the so-called correction but, being in the last days, the markets will be dissolved upon North America falling from nuclear attack. In Christ Jesus, I pray God blesses you and every administrator or user of this wonderful site with wisdom and understanding and hearts of repentance. Amen. Repent and ask JESUS to save you from this hell to come.

We should take Christ at His word and surrender ourselves to Him.Let us pray that He may give us the physical and spiritual strength to overcome through Him.Above all let us always be contented with all that He gives unto us.
  • Norm on Proverbs 7 - 9 years ago
LORD GOD most high, baptize us in the name of the Holy Ghost and make us to have understanding. Help us to know that the harlot is the world financial system which has entrapped all with debt that only You can pay and lies that only You can amend! ....that verses 22 through 27 warn that this current stock market correction is a precursor to complete financial collapse leading the world into Hell to be ruled by Satan! LORD JESUS, save us as only YOU can according to Your will, all for Your glory!
  • Brent on Proverbs 7 - 9 years ago
This is my first read through of the bible. In the past I have picked and jumped around, but I am getting serious abouyt the word of God. It is wat to easy to be decieved, and fooled by what rthe worl deems as normal. Of course you all know that though. This proverb, to me drives home the point that the world is fundamentally still the same. The dangers that exsisted then still exsist today. The Bible is still 100 relavent, and true. Something that is never taught to us in our horrible public school system.
  • Camia on Proverbs 7 - 9 years ago
It is most definitely life to us all. I need it daily. Without the WORD, my life is void. We need GOD daily.
