Thou feedest them with the bread of teares: and giuest them teares to drinke in great measure.

Thou makest vs a strife vnto our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselues.

Turne vs againe, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saued.

Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it.

Thou preparedst roome before it: and didst cause it to take deepe root, and it filled the land.

The hilles were couered with the shadow of it, and the boughs thereof were like the goodly cedars.10

She sent out her boughs vnto the Sea: and her branches vnto the riuer.

Why hast thou then broken downe her hedges: so that all they which passe by the way, doe plucke her?

The boare out of the wood doth waste it: and the wild beast of the field doth deuoure it.

Returne, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: looke downe from heauen, and behold, and visit this vine:

And the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted: and the branch that thou madest strong for thy selfe.

It is burnt with fire, it is cut downe: they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.

Let thy hand be vpon the man of thy right hand: vpon the sonne of man, whom thou madest strong for thy selfe.

So will not wee goe backe from thee: quicken vs, and we will call vpon thy Name.

Turne vs againe, O Lord God of hosts, cause thy face to shine, and wee shall be saued.
