    Greetings Brethren in Jesus!
When I look at Psalms ch 1 I see that David left us through God a great and wonderful message: He showed us some of the many criteria in The Word Of God on how we can be Blessed in The Lord's eyes!A few short instructions of character goes a long way with Our Maker and is safety guaranteed in the Day of Judgement..........Amen.

I was like brother erin I myself grew up in church as a little boy saying one day I was going to be a preacher.......but the devil step in and took over as I was a teenager up to when I became an adult. But because God is merciful and loving he show graceup on me and now I'm back involved with church and praising God all the way. And last but not lease the book of psalms has pulled me through a lot of storms of life when I was ready to throw the towl in, but I told that old ugly devil there is no vacancy here. Be blessed always look to God for help.

I have been a believer since I was a child, was saved at a young age, drifted away from God and have finally come home a few years ago. However, I never really read the Bible and one of my pastor's gave me a challenge to read a chapter a day of Psalms because I had so many questions for him. After reading this, chapter today I know my daily walk with God should be able to be seen by others, not just by myself and God. "And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water..." It is a strong stand to make to stand by our God and know that He is the root and all that is around us.
  • Cecysh on Psalms 1 - 11 years ago

ths chapter i love so much. christians shud understand what ths chapter means, most of our time we fail to take time to digest/meditate on the word of God ,we are always in a rush hurry to go not knowing the holy spirit now wants to teach us.Take time to think carefully about the word of God,it really helps us to understand God.Christians should continuously pray day and night, take note of the watch times mentioned in the bible.

  • Florence on Psalms 1 - 11 years ago
This bible chapter reminds us that there is blessedness in being righteous, living right and being separated from the world. When the wind of life blows, the unrighteous is blown away as chaffs, destroyed, uprooted, reduced and silenced on the long run. Those who live it right will survive tests of time and experience lasting blessings such as promotion, wealth, health, peace e.t.c; Ungodly living attracts evil and gradual destruction. It is not a proof of smartness, or intelligence; It is just a mere deception of the devil that leads to outright destruction. There are always grievous consequences for living wickedly if not on the person; may be on the children or generations to comeā€¦ the consequences will flow back someday! Somehow! Somewhere! Jesus please help us to live righteously so we enjoy your peace on this earth and reign with you in Heaven! Amen.

its a passage acknowledging a person who works in the ways of God and not the ways of sin..
  • Frenz on Psalms 1 - 11 years ago
In this chapter of Psalms 1, being God is our Saviour God is reminding us being a believer in Christ that we should not allowed ourselves to walk in the counsel of ungodly and even standeth in the way of sinners. But ratherly our delight is in the law of the Lord to concentrate on the word of God by meditating the content of the Bible, by reading and live what we read and heard. ( Revelation 1:3) ( Joshua 1:8)

We have to submit our will to the word of God, because there is power in the word of God. God cannot control our will, God gave us freewill to do what is right and what is wrong. That is why in the garden of eden when God commanded Adam not to eat the fruit in the middle coz if he will eat of it he will surely die. But inspite of God's reminder the flesh was eagerly react to do the will of man, instead of the will of God.

This remind us that even in our time the Bible tells us that we should submit our will to the word of God and not to the will of man otherwise our ways will lead us into into vain.

    Godbless us all...
