I remember my grandmother reading this Psalm. I am attempting to memorize it and I am in my sixties. Although my memory is older the time I spending remembering is like mediating day and night. There is an order to the Psalm and priority of things and I am glad it taking me longer to learn the psalm, more time with GOD's word and I going to I Corinthians 13 next challenging my grandsons also
Psalm 103 is great! I don't want to ever forget the blessings God has granted me, without God,' Ioving little old me, I would not be here today. I want to love others the way God loves me, which is showing it to all people. People who don't look like me shouldn't matter because we are all children of God. Show that love today. Smile at someone today, it may be the smile they need. Peace
Favour is for who or upon who? V6.. for all that are oppressed. V11.. them that fear him. V13.. them that fear him. V17..them that fear him V18a.. To such as keep his covenant, and to V18b..those that remember his commandments to do them.
Our God is merciful and good. While he does provide for the righteous and unrighteous, the scriptures tells us how he pours himself out for those who fear him. To those who obey his commandments and are counted as God's children. This is a good reminder, that we should examine ourselves and make sure we are doing Jehovah God's will. Then we can experience the FULL blessings from God.
Verse 27: Each Generation should make it their duty to leave a Godly heritage for the next Generation. It is obvious, that what our Lord, said is true. Sometimes most of them do, the others don’t. You find the same with the Kings of Israel. The Scriptures tells of Kings that did good; however, their sons who reigns in their stead did wickedly. Thank God for His: Goodness: Grace: Mercy to us ward.
Verse#2:Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: We are all guilty of forgetting Gods benefits towards us at times. Each time trials, tribulations come our way, it is like it never happened before. We forget the many, many, times God has brought us through much worse situations. He is our last resort; we come to our senses, and remember His goodness, grace, mercy to us.
Forget not all his benefits. He redeemed my life from destruction and he forgave all my sins and renewed my youth like the Eagle. Bless the Lord my soul. Holy and awesome is his name
I no Jesus heals he has and is still healing me of many things so l am a witness and I thank him for dying on the cross for me I thank God his father who love us enough to send his only son to die for all of us.Father God I thank U Amen
Verse 3 mentions that the Lord heals all diseases...there are some of us that don't believe healing exists today, however I have witnessed all manner of healings
My husband was critically ill the pastoral care lady told me to claim this Psalm and verse three especially and say it every day. That was over 15 years ago. He fortunately recovered and I still say this comforting psalm every night.
Yes Terrence I do the same. I recite this and other Psalms everyday morning , afternoon and night and have watch a awesome move of God in my life and on my behalf ever since. The scriptures are life, alive and extremely powerful in bringing about miracles, healing, deliverance, forgiveness, joy, peace, confidence, help, guidance, wisdom, correction, assurane, etc.
Verse 10: God has not dealt with us by giving us what we deserve as sinful humans and that is death. He gave his son as a way for our sins to be forgiven and a way for us to gain everlasting life.
It was very interesting to compare KJB Psalm 103 with Russian Orthodox Synod Psalm 103 in
Russian Church-Slavic language. There are a lot of differences but the first phrase is the same: Bless the LORD, O my soul (БлагоÑлови, душе моÑ, ГоÑпода.) As for me, it sounds more poetic and powerful in Russian.
Verse 9: Jehovah God is a merciful and loving God who does not keep finding fault. Once he has forgiven our sins, he does not keep harping on those sins.
Psalm 103. Help me during a very dark time in my life.So I go back to this same scripture to help me when life come crunching down on me.God word always work no matter when it is. Now it one of my favorite scripture.
I.m so over joy with great love how God in his mercy that he forgave our sins and remembers them no more form the east to the west How precious we are in his sight Than you FATHER
God's forgiveness is everlasting. At the time we were saved, He buried our sins at the deepest part of the sea to be remembered no more. His mercy endureth forever, so is His forgiveness. Praise God for His unending grace and mercy.
Our sins have been placed so far away from us, as far as the east is from the west. We should be grateful for the ransom sacrifice that was given in our behalf.
