Psalms Chapter 109 Discussion

This prophetic psalm shows Judas Iscariot and all the evil to befall him and his descendants.

Note the first couple verses where prayer and a general attitude of love was shown (Christ until the end had him as a "trusted friend" ( Psalm 41:9). The curses on the wicked indeed can affect generations in the future (v. 10). Satan himself; in fact entered Judas after the sop was offered and at that point Jesus told him to do what he had planned quickly. When we look at verse 6; we are also reminded of the nation of Israel as a whole ( John 5:43). They will accept Antichrist with Satan at his "right hand" as Revelation states. Verse 18 speaks of another verse about Judas mentioned in Acts 1:18 and detailed in the Gospel of Matthew when he fell off the rope he hung himself with. We are also reminded of the situation of Acts 12:23 with Herod; and other verses where similar ailments took away the wicked.

From verse 20 on; we of course can apply similar logic with David's situation as the Son of David; namely Christ Himself. Verse 28 seems to refer to the Resurrection of the wicked (when they rise); as every knee shall bow; every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of the Father in Philippians 2:10-11; but also in Isaiah and many other books of scripture as well.

We must look to Deuteronomy to understand that God still blesses the "thousands" that call on His name; despite generational banishment and curses for the disobedience and sin actions of ancestors ( Deut. 5:9-10). This chapter though shows how someone can be called AND chosen; albeit with the foreknowledge that they would be of the Devil from the beginning. This was of course to fulfill prophecy; but also God uses the enemy to buffet servants such as Job and Paul to accomplish His purposes. Let us not ascribe to such behavior ourselves! Surely we do not understand all His ways; nor forsee how all things for those who LOVE Him turn out for the good ( Romans 8:28).

how does biblical listings today affect the everyday communities and are they still practicing old methods as they did thousands of years ago.

Might want to read more of the Bible, like about David or Solomon. God always uses the tool that gets the job done and he does not judge, we are all HIS children and through HIS son, Jesus, we are all forgiven, if we truly repent. Look at the results of your judgement, which could cost us all our religious freedom, and learn, then ask God for forgiveness.

My take on Psalm 121very powerful David is actually telling is enemies about is GOD and how powerful he's so David is saying because of my obedient to GOD and is command, when I pray

to the GOD who made the HEAVEN and the EARTH he will be a watchman for you, whatever you do. he will not let you, to be a shame, you will not fail he will not let your foot be weak

and assuring them that he's a GOD that do not slumber he do not sleep he watches over is

children's he's the GOD of the Day and the GOD of the night no harm will come near you

when you go out and you come in this's a promise he made. if GOD made a promise he will surely keep it. remember when JESUS said in Matthew I will never leave you nor for sake you he will be with you to the very end that's a promise. and he's still with us saints of GOD.

The Bible says the TREE is known by its FRUIT. So, hatefulness is not like Christ.
  • David on Psalms 109 - 4 years ago
Why so hateful, forgiveness seems very distant???

    Dear Anna,

One cannot be sure God did not send Trump to guide this country at this time ...didn't God send Paul (the persecutor and killer of Christians) to become an apostle and to preach to the Gentiles?

Jesus speaks about not judging and accusing others. In the example below many wanted to accuse a woman for adultery.

    John 8:7

"So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her."

    God Bless.

God would not send an adulterer, liar, and perverted person to lead a country of good people and it is shameful for anyone to think the He would. Apparently you fail to remember who it is that rules the Earth until the Second Coming. "Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me." John 14:30

You would be hard pressed to remember, "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" Isaiah 5:20.
  • Frank Garcia - In Reply on Psalms 109:8 - 4 years ago
Christians should always show God's love even if people don't agree with us only God is justified in judging.

Psalm 23 (New King James Version)

Line 1-2: You set Yohd Hay Vav Hay as your shepherd and say he provides. However, David is saying that but meaning the Messiah. Remember Messiah was not mentioned in their timeline but is eternal having resurrected.

Line 3: It says lies me down in green pastures, means Third Heavens, he saw a vision of Messiah in the Third Heavens, this line takes him back to the Third Heavens in vision, which you can do if you setup the image properly (pretty much the only place in the spirit realms that has green grass).

Line 4: The still waters of the rivers flowing from the throne through the Third Heavens down to Earth and into every believer.

Line 5: The still waters in Heaven cleanse spirits of darkness such as King David's anxiety as they are living, and anxiety is dying.

Line 6: This sets your path to the path of righteousness i.e. your next spiritual path is a righteous act.

    Line 7: For Messiah's sake.

Line 8-9: Declaring Messiah to follow you in the valleys of death. Disregards fear.

Line 10-11: Shepherd staff and rod meaning sceptre of priesthood, the Melchizedek rod. Represents Messiah's spiritual Pastor and Melchizedek Order items.

Line 12: Table is spiritual code for altar table, or shrine, a place of worship, i.e. a bulwark to Heaven. Also declaring no fear of enemies even when they are near.

Line 13: Anointing vision, in the spirit realm Messiah is anointing him for his tasks.

Line 14: David's personal Cup of Blessings is released in the spirit realm as it is overflowing, pouring out blessings in the physical.

Line 15-16: Declaring glory and grace every day over himself. You may not be able to see it physically until anointed to do so, but grace and glory infill into you via the air, so keep a window ajar at night and they will come to you.

Line 17-18: Declaring that he wants to live with Messiah in the palace for evermore. Line worked as he is up there in the Heavens, with his red hair, awaiting the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth.

    Luke Chapter 10:40-42

But Martha was cumbered about much serving...

...bid her to therefore she help me.

And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:

But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

Folks this is our day. Troubled by sins of the world or justified by Jesus.

    It is a choice.

To be read out loud daily against the workers of evil in the earth. All secret societys, like skull and Bones. All corrupt politicians that are satanist , cannibals, bohemian grove members, those that took oaths to be a political leader , but turned out to be a traitor, a communist, instead. A destroyer of the earth, a globalist,a enemy of God. If you don't, you'll have the same result as Portland, Seattle, California, Chicago, for your future. When Jesus said turn the other cheek he wasn't talking about this. Jesus also said give Satan no place , be able to put on the full armor of God, don't kiss the devil.

True Kevin, Jesus is The Living Word Rev19:13 and is One with The Father and The Holy Ghost 1John5:7. Some Translations added - it- to Heb4:12 yes the written word is important but without God's Wisdom Prov4:7 we will not understand it. Jesus our only Spiritual Teacher tells us to Ask and we will receive and He leads us into all Truth through The Empowering of The Holy Ghost Jn14:10-31-1Jn2:27-29.

In the beginning was the word, the word was with God and word was God. John 1:1. So the bible in essence is God and Jesus RNA and DNA sequence, and when spoken out loud by a believer it never returns void, but accomplish what it is sent to do. What part of Gods body are we aloud to omit ? Pray this prayer of defence against Gods enemies and ours that's why it was written !!!

Our Footprints- A Poem by Anne....... No One comes into Our Lives without Leaving Their Footprints good or bad. May I accept the Love that is offered and not dwell on the rejection and hurt but Forgive or Seek Forgivenness and move on in Love. Than the Footprints I Leave will always be ones of Love and Encouragement even if not Known by those to whom it's Shown.

True GHI, all who do evil like Satan does without Heart Repentance will reap what they sow and if they Reject Jesus the Unforgivable Sin it's Blaseming The Holy Spirit by calling Him a Lier than they have no Hope but if not we don't Judge their Eternal Salvation even if they hurt us they may Repent on their deathbed we also don't seek revenge we Pray for them and do good to them. Blessings - Anne.

The adversary spoken of throughout the whole Bible is anyone who delights in wickedness and does not serve the Father. The adversary is Satan and his children, not by bloodline, but anyone against God or his Son is Anti-Christ Adversary. Our own spirits can take on demonic spirits without being under the Father's hedge of protection daily and seeking the Holy Spirit.
  • Laura on Psalms 109 - 5 years ago
Is the adversary spoken of perhaps a wizard, warlock, sorcerer or witch?? Someone who purposely chooses to curse Believer s of the One True God Almighty. Otherwise, our adversaries are demons persons without bodies . Correct??
