Good day, Amos 5:26 identifies the use of a star with a tabernacle. (not accusing, only identifying what is in the Word) It is most peculiar that the star would have 6 points, 6 sides, and 6 triangles. Most peculiar indeed. When you read of the tribes of Israel in Genesis, did you catch what changed in the book of revelation concerning them? Something is different here and it has to do with a serpent. This may seem brash and way off base but consider this:

America loves tradition and a symbol of our strength and a representation of America is the statue of liberty and the Washington monument. Did you know the Washington monument is 55.5 feet wide and 555 feet tall? This is 666 inches wide and 6660 inches tall and also is the same proportionally to the golden statue of Nebuchadnezzar from the book of Daniel? Hidden right in front of us, the devil's vessels are very skilled at deception and causing others to error.

Certainly not all Jewish peoples are of this sort, only a portion. Again this is laid out in Revelation, those who practice kabbalah are those who worship a snake in a tree. This is what Jesus spoke of replacing in John 3:14. The wicked shall do wickedly but the wise shall understand.

    Respectfully

There is no indication that Israel of Old Testament times used flags. In Numbers 2:1,2 we read: "And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, Every man of the children of Israel shall pitch by his own standard, with the ensign of their father's house: far off about the tabernacle of the congregation shall they pitch", we see the use of Standards/Ensigns, probably with markings denoting a special significance to each of the twelve tribes. As well, the use of a banner where the lead warrior would raise it up while the army comes behind him in readiness to fight, might also be understood.

But the Star of David (Magen David) was first seen as a flag of Israel in 1948, though the Star was accepted as a symbol by various groups, in particular the Zionist Congress in 1897. As well, the Jewish communities of Eastern Europe (in the 19th Century) used the symbol, but it was only official from 1948.

I understand that Jerusalem in that Scripture speaks about the city itself. It's meaning is generally understood to be "Foundation of Peace". Jerusalem has had a long history but in biblical days, it was occupied by the Jebusites until the time of King David who managed to capture the city by stealth (see 2 Samuel chapter 5).
  • Venkat on Psalms 122:6 - 4 years ago
Does the word Jerusalem in Ps.122:6 has a different meaning, which does not reflect the country of Jerusalem directly...?

Have faith in God. The more you talk to Him, the easier you'll hear Him speak back to you. There's no limitations on conversation.

    Jesus loves you perfectly.

"Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

    John 14:18

I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
  • Chris - In Reply on Psalms 122 - 4 years ago
The two words that immediately came to mind when reading your words, & not knowing what the triggers are for your feelings & behaviour, are Forgiveness & Faith.

How are you doing in these areas? Are there areas that are unresolved in your life, people that have hurt you or misunderstood you, situations you have felt very uncomfortable in, fear of the unknown or future? These things can come to any one of us, but how we deal with them can help us overcome those feelings.

A true Forgiveness is accepting that both you or another could have done wrong. Even if the other remains obstinate, you can choose to forgive, shake hands & express friendship. Lack of forgiveness will eat through us as a canker & we remain under its power. We often say "forgive & forget" - both are hard to do, but both are required if healing of our minds are to take place. If we forgive & not lay it aside forever, then we haven't really forgiven & the canker goes to work.

A true vibrant Faith in the Living God will bring your perspective on God, Who alone can heal you & go before you in every situation. Faith takes your eyes off your problems & circumstances & in a committed way places them onto God, leaving it all in His capable Hands. We can never deal with our problems successfully - we don't even know what tomorrow holds for us - but we do know the One Who can deal with them & Who has gone ahead of us into our tomorrows. Look to God - wait on Him - feed & digest the Truths from His Word, cover yourself in Christ's precious Blood for protection from the enemy's darts, putting on the whole armour of God. When evil assails your mind, run to the Word & stand on His Promises - God is faithful.

By the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ remember this

    Philippians 4:6-10 (KJV)

[6] Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. [7] And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. [8] Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. [9] Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

    Hebrews 13:5-6

[5] Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. [6] So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

    My God bless.

I am so blessed to hear of your mothers healing.

At times, In the Gospels, Jesus Healed everybody. Other times He couldn't because of unbelief.

The more we know about how he interacted with every day people; the more settled our faith is that He desires to bless and heal his children.

Ask and receive. Lord Jesus bless this family. Song of Solomon 6:3.

May they depend upon you for strength, courage, and assistance with things they cannot handle. Confidence in the face of fear. Be their Strong Protector. Thank you Blessed Savior. Amen

Mishael - I took my mum to a third podiatrist today for an opinion about her ingrown toe nail, previous two said how bad it looked, I was so concerned. I decided if this one advised surgery we'd have it done. Driving there this morning I just thought "Trust in God" and I was - also being prepared to be told surgery necessary. At the clinic the podiatrist was so gentle with mum and told me the toe nail was fine no surgery necessary and said the complete opposite to previous two!! Nothing short of a miracle in my opinion. I thanked God - and my sweet mum has been smiling since and looks comfortable. I do pray but think my trust is often overshadowed due to my worrying - hence putting in prayer request. Hopefully this miracle will energise my faith/trust. Thank you for your prayer.

Sometimeswouldn'tit wouldbe nice to know the right person to get your footin the door of the job you need.

Actually, there is someone whom you can reach outtofor help. And this someone is available 24 hours a day. This someone is God. When you pray for employment, you connect directly to Him. Godis waiting and willing to help you with any obstacle you face, and that includes employment.

Prayerfor employment is alsoagreatway of releasing all stress and anxiety related to searching for a job, byentrusting Godwithyourjob-huntingprocess.

DearGod,I thank you that you have a job forme, and I know that in whatever position you placeme,I will be blessed. I am blessed when I come and when Igo,and I know that I am above only and not beneath. You have blessed me and called me your own.

I know that my success is found in youand you have given me the ability to perform my job withexcellence. It is in you thatIreceive promotion, increase and success and I thank you thatyourblessing and favor will be awaiting me at the new job that you have for me.

Sometimes our lives are telling us that our relationship with Jesus broke down first. Take a few minutes and rededicate you and your life to Jesus. Put him first again...and you can ask anything in His Name, and He will help you. Give him praise and thanks.

    Amen! Thank you, Jesus.

    Matthew 18:19-20

That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, THERE AM I, in the midst of them.

Sometimes our lives are telling us that our relationship with Jesus, broke down first. Take a few minutes and rededicate you and your life to Jesus. Put him first again.

In Jesus name I agree that all demonic beings be bound from afflicting this home and marriage, and be cast into outer darkness. I pray for light and healing to come back into this home and that the 2 hearts would be one, again.

Lord give favor towards restoration of the relationship by the Holy Spirits ministry of reconciliation. Open their ears to listen to each other again. Open the Bible to 1 Corinthians Ch13 and Ch 7, to their spirits.

Touch and heal them. In the name of Jesus. Thank you Lord Jesus, Bless the Holy Spirit.

    Amen.

Pray this out loud. Read those scriptures.

    Trust in God.

Let go of your fears and fully put your trust in God. My mother had it too. She suffered years. Said it didn't hurt, because of the cost etc.

But after she had the surgery; the pain was changed to joy. You'll be there to dress the wound and help her take baths. Pray and ask the Lord to give her a double portion of healing recovery and thank Him every day afterwards. I pray your faith also will be energized. Let me know how it goes. Medicare should pay all of the cost. You might have to cut a shoe toe out for going outside.

The beginning of trust is believing God is who He says He is and the completion of trust is when we make God our Lord by completely surrendering all that we are and have - ourselves, our occupation, our resources, our time, and our families to God.

Proverbs 3:5 says, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. However, in real life, most of us have a hard time trusting God completely at one time or another. We need to trust God with His ways and His timing for our life. We need to Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.

In order to trust God completely, we need to make Him the Lord of our life. But many of us do not want to give control of our lives over to another. At the first sign of any difficulty, we think that God must not love us because He is permitting this difficulty to happen. We need to remember that we do not see the big picture as God does. God may be waiting for a part of the picture to develop that is not yet ready and that includes us. Help us to trust you.

We need to keep trusting God regardless of what is happening around us, even if things seem hopeless. We need to keep our eyes on Him rather than on our problem. He will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Him: because he trust in Him ( Isaiah 26:3). God is very aware of each thing that is happening to you. We need to turn control completely over to our heavenly Father and stop trying to figure out a solution ourselves.

Lord Jesus, please help David to take this step towards You, and to be a part of the body of Christ. We all need each other and we need our brother, David.

    Mishael

I will be looking for you :)

Ps. 122:1 - The sun. service today was - different; the Lord Jesus took control of it. Pas. had a message ready, but after about 5 min., before he could even begin 'preaching' - Jesus took the service right out of his hands. He just began calling people to the altar - sinners and saints alike, we all went forward, praying, weeping, hands raised in surrender. This went on for an hour. Beautiful.

  • Irene123 on Psalms 122 - 8 years ago
No one mentioned v. 1; It sets the 'tone' for the whole chapter. Every time I am on my way to and have arrived at the church - His Spirit just wells up in me; when the service starts with the songs - I just weep, every service. I love Him so. He kept me for 34 yrs. of hell while I was backslid. Some people on here don't believe like I do, but some will know what I am talking about.
