a beautiful reminder of why all should pray for the peace of Israel - a people chosen by GOD to reveal himself to, a conduit if you will - in that all men would come to know this great GOD of salvation and receive the gift of eternal life.

a time while in prison my life was threatened,my stuff was stolen, and i felt that at times ,i would not live another day!i promised JESUS that i would read the whole BIBLE during the ten months i was there.i was put in protective custody for exposing a shank (knife)that was threatening to me.managment just happened to place a 260 lb. guy in my 2-man cell for sex games he got beat up for.one day he grabbed me by the ankles while i was reading my bible and said,"i am going to rape you right now."i weigh 150 but i knew rape was no option so with my BIBLE in one hand ,balled up fist with the other ,i was getting ready to take on this giant(devil).GOD(JESUS)made him let go of my ankles, haleluia and i was moved to another cell.later,i was given an oppurtunity to show him kindness when the mgnt.shackled us together to transfer us to different prisons.JESUS ,be the GLORY! PSALMS140 vs.1-4.JESUS is our SHIELD!

i like the way GOD does not hold anything from us .vs.7 talks aboutwhen i walk in trouble times HE is there,to help me.it is comforting to know that anythingthat challenges me,good or bad (in my perception)must be ok"d by JESUS.for HIS /my benefit.the key for me though is to be able to remember this at the time, during situations.
  • HARRY ALLISON on Psalms 127 - 12 years ago
though i stumble,JESUS does not go away.i may want to give in to more temptation, feeling justified because of what others do to me.i must keep getting up in the knowing that JESUS has my future in HIS HAND AND IT IS GOOD.remember what JESUS already did!

  • Jermaine on Psalms 127 - 12 years ago
When I came across this chapter and read it I began to cry. The word of God sees and knows all our secret doings. As I read vs. 5 and 6 I began to reflect how my walks use to be with God in the past.
My goal is to get back where I was in God. I had such a close relationship with God, every morning he would wake me up with either a new song which angel sign, bible verse, a sermon or his Holy Spirit speaking to me.
My soul long for the lover of my soul, I need fulfillment. –over the years I have gotten so out of reach with God tell I just allow myself to fall so easily without a fight.
To date is the first time in years that I have fasted. For a long time God was telling to me to set aside sometime for fasting.
He told me that he, at the end of my fast, would break the yoke that has been holding me down for many, many years.
I believe him and know that he is a Faithfull God. I have a very great expectation at the end of my fast, I am looking to be transformed, restore, built up and all that I have allow the enemy take from me will be reinstate.

  • TR Ahlstrom on Psalms 127 - 13 years ago
By time we end our reading of the Psalter, we cannot count the number of times the Spirit has taught us to say, "Praise the LORD." That is because the very purpose for heart, body, mind and breath is so that we can participate with all creation in offering up hymns of honor and glory to the Great Being. Our morning prayers are part of a great concert of praise that includes the wistling of the winds in the branches, the breaking of the waves on the shore, the growl of the great beast, the chirp of the bird and the orderly turning of the whole sidereal system. When we makes the Psalms our prayers, we join with all angels and archangles, and the whole company of saints and martyrs in tribute to our Maker and Friend. But, as sinful members of a fallen race, our praise is unique. All of creation must wait in silence and we give thanks and praise to our Great Savior and Redeemer. Let the name of Jesus be ever praised!
  • Steve long on Psalms 127:1 - 13 years ago
The older I am the more the greatest desire of my heart is God's mercy for me and all my sins. His mercy is more valuable than all the gold and all the precious things in this world. There are no kinder greater words for me in all of the Bible than "Your sins are forgiven". If I could teach a lesson to any one who would listen. I would teach them to be kind and merciful to their neighbor, because that is God's kindness to me and I know from the depth of my deceitful heart it is His pure and loving act of mercy towards me for I deserve none of it.

I believe that when you lift your hands in the sanctaury, you are surrendering yourself to God Almighty and then you enter into his presence unlike never before giving him the glory, honor, and praise. Now you can thank God for all he's done and will do in your life. Amen
