We should totally submit our lives to God, let his mercy and grace continue work in our lives as God promised it will.

We should not fret when we know for certain, our God is for us and not against us!
  • Dale on Psalms 127 - 6 years ago
The Lord has made it so easy for us to praise Him. And it does not matter where He is at when we get ready to praise him.

"Lord, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! or the son of man, that thou makest account of him!" God knows what man is, and how and why He made us! Man doesn't know anything until God gives him understanding and teaches him. Men refuse knowledge and are too proud to be told the truth; yet they will open their mouths to contradict, oppose and speak evil of things they know nothing about.

Abel was murdered out of the ambush by a brother who envied him and started a quarrel with him without a cause. Joseph was hated by his brothers because he was the beloved son of his father's old age, who also sold him for twenty pieces of silver and lied about it to their father to cover their wickedness. David was chased and persecuted relentlessly by a failure of the grace and calling of God.

"Let burning coals fall upon them: let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, that they rise not up again." (KJV) "Let burning coals fall upon them, and be they thrown down into the fire; yea, into a wretchedness from which they shall never be able to escape." (Wycliffe Bible) We hardly comprehend the grave danger and the righteous damnation of the ungodly, according to most Holy Eternal GOD!
  • A disciple on Psalms 127 - 7 years ago
"Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies." God commanded the Israelites to show no pity but to utterly destroy everything that breathes of the Canaanites because they were utterly perverted and doing every abomination that God hates. So must our minds be about sin and unclean!
  • A disciple on Psalms 127 - 7 years ago
"By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion." Some know sorrow that cannot be assuaged or turned back. For these there is no comfort and time is but a shallow relief. Lamentations 1:12 When the Babylonians had done destroying Jerusalem Jeremiah sat down and wept. Whenever the People of God were dashed in pieces by the heathen there was none that showed pity.

The LORD references His making the heavens and stretching out the earth above the waters, the setting of great lights in the heavens for signs and seasons and days and years, to call the earth to see the meaning in the creation and salvation of Israel; and thus by destroying FIRST the beginning of the strength of Egypt and their gods. "In thee and in thy seed shall all nations be blessed!"
  • A disciple on Psalms 127 - 7 years ago
"Except the LORD build the house, they labor in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman wakes but in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he gives his beloved sleep." Why are we anxious? and why do we think about the things that God has the care of concerning us? Our work is to believe in Jesus and follow Him!
  • Peter A. Okebukola on Psalms 127 - 7 years ago
This is a short but sweet Psalm full of God’s wisdom to man- “Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.”
  • BSP on Psalms 127 - 7 years ago
Verse 3: We should pray to God for help in controlling what we say and thinking before we speak.

  • Sylvia on Psalms 127 - 7 years ago
LORD when I was in despair you heard my cry and rescued me.
LORD you paid the penalty for my sins and forgave me.
LORD when I feel like I'm in my darkest moments you give me a dawning of a new day.
LORD when I was a slave to sin you purchased me with your blood and set me free.
Glory be go GOD my ALL and ALL. My LORD and SAVIOR. AMEN

The Lord is mighty in and great in his doing.

  • Brother Daniel FC on Psalms 127 - 7 years ago
Verse 23 should always be read together with vs. 24. By itself, in the context of the previous verses, it sounds like David is bragging about his own spirituality. Verse 24 clarifies it: he admits that there might be some wickedness in his heart, and he asks God to lead him in the path of righteousness "in the way everlasting". Psalm 139:23 "Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: 24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." It makes a big difference...
