I have often wondered about this chapter of Psalms. It's like they couldn't sing unto the Lord in presence of the enemy.
  • Evelyn on Psalms 127 - 7 years ago
Such a Blessed Psalm, gives me great joy everytime I read it.It tells us according to God's word to rejoice at all times. To make a joyful noise ,whenever you read it or hear the word of God.To tell everyone of His everlasting Love for us,it's not only for now but forever more. Amen

Thank you Jesus for dying on the cross for me.

This verse shows to me that material things are nothing, unless you have Jehovah God's approval. For places of worship in particular, there is no sense in making grand and lavish churches/ temples. Build it modestly and humbly. The important thing is the quality of worship. Good quality worship = quality Christians = making God happy

  • Dilu Goma on Psalms 127 - 7 years ago
I have been praying for God to change my wife and children for the better so that I will be proud of them(instead of being sad and despairing for their lives), and also that my small businesses will be successful (in bringing in good income), and through this verse God is telling me that the way for these to happen is for me to fear God and obey Him. I really want to do this, please, O Lord.
  • S. Cooper on Psalms 127 - 7 years ago
God is all powerful and almighty. He has proven Himself whereas the idol gods has not. He has brought down kingdoms, kings and has given land as an inheritance to His people. Other gods were made God has always been. He is worthy of praise, worship and continued respect!!!!

    V. 5 - " ..... and in His word do I hope." It doesn't say "in some of His word", or, in just the O.T. or N.T. "In His Word" refers to ALL of it.
  • Joyce Joseph on Psalms 127 - 7 years ago

  • Joyce Josepk on Psalms 127 - 7 years ago
Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it. There is nothing we can do without God's help even though some of us don't recognize it. It is he who gives us strength to work to get money to build what we have. It is who who provides every single thing for us. I will praise him every single day. Thank you Lord for your goodness.
  • SONIA. PRESTON on Psalms 127 - 7 years ago
Praise the Lord. All glory and praise belong to GOD. We should praise Him at all times. He is always great, doing marvelous things to keep us safe. When we utilize the drums, dances, tambourines, trombones, etc., it should be to glorify GOD. Our sole purpose on this beautiful earth is to praise and glorify GOD. Praise ye the Lord. GOD bless you.

We spend quite a lot of time lamenting to the lord about unpleasant circumstances in our life yet God is always doing wonderful things that we don't seem to notice because we are pre- occupied with the negative side . This psalms encourages us to praise God in all situations because the lord is Good all the time . Our human nature makes want more
  • Scott Gates on Psalms 127 - 7 years ago
We are saved by both God's mercy ( Titus 3:5, which prevents us from going to Hell) and His grace ( Ephesians 2:8, which allows us to go to Heaven instead). Since God's saving mercy endureth forever, it becomes impossible for someone who gets saved to ever experience Hell! Psalm 136 is a wonderful reminder (26 times) of God's forever-enduring mercy. We have been hit over the head with this truth!

Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD comes, for it is nigh at hand: A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers. Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly: Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet. And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.

  • MockingBird on Psalms 127 - 7 years ago
I like it much when in Church : we are in unity with each other : The Love of God is of such . We may not have the same concept of the word of God as each other , and we may not agree on one thing or another : we can disagree without being disagreeable : Yet , at the same time we love each other and do the best we can to get along with each other. It is alway best to work to not Quench the Spirit of God among us. God has called us to Peace !!
  • Aloysius Domnick on Psalms 127 - 7 years ago
It's a good verse,I really adore it and I let Holy Spirit dwells in me personally. I was converted few weeks back and I really enjoyed reading the words of God. I started and I'm in the books of Leviticus. I surely thinks God has way of talking to us.
  • BSP on Psalms 127 - 7 years ago
It is a beautiful thing to see brothers and sisters of the same faith dwelling together in unity. This is what Jehovah God would want to see happening between all members of the congregation. This adds to the pleasant and up building spirit of the congregation.
