Sing O ye heaven for the LORD hath done it shout ye lower parts of the earth break forth into singing ye mountains o forest and every tree there in for the LORD hath redeemed Jacob and glorified himself in lsrael
This is a very short Psalm. Nonetheless; we can ponder a theme here which is apparently a subject in the forefront of David's mind throughout the first section at least of Psalms; namely a petition for God to give him victory over his enemies and to heed to his sufferings.
As with many of these inspired writings; we certainly can look at Christ as being prophetically referenced to here. We are reminded of Psalm 22; as well as the times when Christ Himself said "why have you foresaken me?" ( Matt. 27:46). There is ultimate trust in David in verse 5; which we can all cling onto. Only Christ had to have that unspeakable horror of God's mercy removed for that brief moment in time. Only Christ COULDN'T pray for salvation of His soul (unnecessary for a member of the deity). But only He could procure the punishment for our sin as an atonement; and hence WOULD not be released from being a sin offering as it was clearly part of God's plan for the redemption of man.
We also are remined in Psalm 23:5 where a table is prepared in the presence of enemies. This could certainly apply to us; in the Millennium Kingdom as well as the Lord Himself when He rules with an iron rod. Any saint of God recognizes in general that they are in enemy territory lest they become too content in the world which is about to perish as it exists now in its fallen state under Satan's control. We are reminded of Christ's admonition to us that a servant is no greater than his master ( Jn. 13:16) and can truly understand we also will have trials as the Lord Himself was the "man of sorrows" ( iSAIAH 53:3). Man is but a vapor ( Romans 8:7 and mentioned further in Psalm 62:9; etal.
It helps if you describe briefly what kind of warfare you're going through. It can be physical, mental or emotional or spirits.
I went through the whole list. With Jesus inside of you, "they" know their time is over. Satan will accuse that you are not saved! That hurts but is not the Truth. I tell everyone to write the date of salvation in your Bible. "It is written!"
LUKE 11:24-26
Christ sends the evil spirits away. But if we neglect feeding on the Bible frequently; building up our most holy faith..
The spirits may return: Luke 11:24-26 (the stronger man is Jesus 11:21). You must furnish yourself with Bible, Praise, and Assembling with the church folk)
A reading list for you:
Ephesians 6
* Acts 19:19
Galatians 3:13
Luke 6:28
Matthew 5:44
Ephesians 2:13
The angels are sent by God, so we can ask in prayer for their presence in our homes. Act on the promises of the Lord. God wants us to go on from being milk fed baby Christians, to stand up and be warriors of FAITH in ahi's Word.
Not sure if you are saying can they be bothered IF you are going through spiritual warfare; or if anyone wishes to give wise counsel on the subject.
As to help; of course you need to be in a place where you repent of known sin and are truly seeking to walk in the Spirit; not just to avoid the consequences of your actions as the enemy is allowed to mess with you perhaps accusing you of areas which you have not placed under the blood; as it were trusting God for deliverance. If you are at that point; it is good to trust God to bring those who are Spirit filled and discerning to bring deliverance when needed. Fellowship at any true church if not part of your life should be sought out. Don't worry so much in trying to find someone who is on the outside appearing to be more "Charismatic" as it were. There are servants equipped to come to your aid; an in fact may themselves be in need to pray for you to be strengthened in the Spirit. When we help others in the Body of Christ it truly helps us; as no matter how weak we may be in the flesh; the Spirit has an endless amount of resources available. Also be careful who NOT to associate with or even pray with; should they have a demonic spirit or not give Godly counsel. The Lord will speak to you on those issues.
There rarely exists spiritual warfare alone without extenuating emotional; abuse; or other conditions affecting the mind; body and soul. A big part of achieving freedom is having the fear of death removed; no one can touch you unless God allows it. There are times; of course when people need to step in; obviously this goes beyond the bounds of how I can help you here.
I will keep you in prayer for now; if there is anything specific I suppose you can write a response for targeted prayer again; within parameters allowed here.
Lastly; set forth time and effort to help set OTHERS free. Don't assume your brokenness renders you ineffective; surely the enemy doesn't want you to minister to others.
I'm not aware of anywhere in the Bible addressing your question. I personally believe the answer is no that whatever spiritual things you're experience is specific to you. If you are experiencing spiritual warfare I would choose deliberately the side you want to be on and be prepared. Ephesians 6:17 and around this chapter talks about how to prepare and defend yourself from such battles. Basically dedicating yourself to following Christ, read the Bible regularly, pray, and seek fellowship with other believers is a way to strengthen your faith. Some believe in generational curses and we do live with consequences of curses from Adam and Eve, such as hard work, labor pain, etc. Hope this is helpful in some way.
I needed Psalm 13 was for the ullage to give as part of my wife Ruth's funeral, she passed away on the morning of April the 7th.
Ruth had a very difficult life, she became my second wife almost 17 years ago in 2005, I was then 55yrs. and Ruth 65.
God gave a dream back in April 1986, at that time I was serving on the Parish Council for the Pio Pio / Aria co-operating parish, and God had planed all of this as with the rest of my life it so happened that an Interpreter of dreams was arriving in New Zealand from America in a few weeks, his name being Mr Herman Riffel. I then made the necessary arrangements to meet with him.
After praying over this as I written down and verbalised it to him he said this was a dream for future and that God give you his own interpretation in His time!
I was in Papua New Guinea 14 years later when at 50 I had a mild stroke which brought about being medevacked home. Six month after arriving I realised I was beginning to live this dream.
Twenty years I have been living this dream in which Ruth became an intricate part of.
Psalm 13 Ties up both our live to a tee. In Ruth's case, she wrote a pome at age 13 a pome I read some 18 months of marriage, Her life which she lived was living version of the Pome. My 20yrs. of living out the dream I had 1986 Through with the Grace of God and The Holy Spirit has developed gifts which I had abused and given me extreme insight which I only realised I had the ability in my twenties but nothing to what it has become.
If by chance you would like a copy of Ruth's and my dream with a very nave interpretation which is changing by the month now please do come back to me.
Verse 5 says I have trusted in your Mercy. My heart shall rejoice in thy Salvation. It is because I know a Man who has enough Grace and Mercy to save an entire World. God loves us with such passion we can only imagine His thoughts of Grandeur. He is ever present, and no matter what we may have to face. Put God first and He will make a way out. My life was a total disaster. I looked as if I could use a helping hand without anyone asking me. There is truly a look in a desperate situation. Your circumstances can take you down. God is waiting with open arms. If you ask him to help you; He will. (Matthew chapter 7, verse 7)
Ask and it shall be given you; Seek and you shall find; Knock and it shall be opened unto you.
The way to Jesus Christ is believing He walked the Earth as a Man; died on the Cross for our sins; and rose again on the third day. He is in Heaven with His Father sitting on the right side of the throne. He will come again for the final Judgement. We all need to be ready at any moment. Death comes quick. There is no second time around; no, wait a minute I'm still trying to choose; no more chances; no more wait until I am ready. It's self that can sometimes get in the way and it's not worth losing your eternal life with Jesus Christ. Remember Death can come in a moment in the twinkling of an eye. Be ready to meet the Lord; pray that you do.
God is our present help in times of trouble! he's our refuge from every storm that arises in our life! mark 11:22 tells us to have faith in our god"! god's presence is always in the midst of his chosen people! we serve a god that never slumbers ir sleep!
God knows our troubles and our needs, trust in him by faith with prayer, ask it to be his will. Through the blood of Yeshua we have salvation that should bring us peace in our soul, no enemy can defeat that if we wear the full armor of God. Amen God Bless
Psalm 13 Addresses anxious believers who have been beat up by the enemy of their soul, just as the lamenting David does. His misery is repeated over and over and continually petitions God for deliverance. David trusts in God’s loyal loving kindness, His salvation and bountiful love and care but his anger and pain overrides the promises of deliverance that he knows will happen. (Arrogant anger.)
I know tribulations will come... Sometimes when we don't heat from GOD in the Time frame we desire, we can get impatient and sometimes rebellious. We must learn to understand that in our waiting there is cleansing. There is always deaper circumstances in our trials than those that are seen by the naked eye.. Amen
Mild Bill, saved by grace on Psalms 13 - 6 years ago
Death is not a finality, but a separation.Every soul will be resurrected. Some to life, some to eternal condemnation. When resurrected, all will never have an absence of God in their thoughts. For some this is pleasing and causes singing, for others it will be an eternal burning torment. Thanks be to God alone, for his mercy and grace to forgive and save sinners, through the death of Jesus his son.Trust God
Bountifully is greater than how long in the life of David. Our heart sorrows today will diminish in our heart rejoicing,in eternity.Salvation is victory over the claims of the enemy.Exaltation in this world is temporary, and having mercy of God instead,is better.Once God has shown his love to us,we can never forget him.Lest we faint, he has said,I will never leave thee nor forsake thee,as David knew
We wonder how long before salvation comes. But Jesus is salvation. Have he is Savior. He has cast out Satan our enemy by His death on the cross to atone for our wins. Trust Him to forgive you. No delay necessary...now is the day of salvation.
"sleep of death" is a person continuing without God in thoughts, knowledge or understanding. Jesus said, "As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." John17:2
Verse 5 states "my heart SHALL rejoice in thy salvation". David chose to focus on the Father's goodness toward him and to trust Him in the midst of his circumstances.
Verse 6 He choses to sing in thanksgiving for what the Father has already done for him. Our focus and praise must always remain, regardless of how things may appear.
We often grew weary in waiting. We have a lot of sorrow in our heart and we carry the burden. However, David chooses, in spite of his sorrow, to rejoice because the Lord will eventually answer. So should we.
We are so thankful to God for his mercy in dealing with imperfect humans. We can rejoice in his salvation because he gave us the sacrifice of his dear son so that we can be saved from sin and death.
"The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

My name is Maria
Can people around me be bothered I I'm going thru spiritual warfare ?

(To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.) How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?
2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?
3 Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;
4 Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.
5 But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.
6 I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.
I am sorry for your loss at this time. I comfort you. Everything from the hand of the Lord is good and not to be refused.
Ask and it shall be given you; Seek and you shall find; Knock and it shall be opened unto you.
