Martha Hi It says in the book of psalms as far as the east is from the west he has removed our transgressions from us, east and west never meet north and south do. The point is God is more willing to forgive us than we are willing to forgive ourselves or others at times. In Hiss Service

Tom, you're right. Moses got it right, because I believe he actually SAW the objects, along with getting the instructions in his revelation.

Are you KJV believer like me, Tom? I just posted a somewhat lengthy and stimulating note on KJV and KJV-1611. Even if not, still go ahead and read it. Thanks

Ezekiel gave you a good description. Here's a place where David used the breast plate, ephod, to get an answer from God.

"And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God. And David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech's son, I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod. And Abiathar brought thither the ephod to David. And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all." 1Sa 30:6-8

Thanks, i was just curious how they (the temple institute)were going to remake them since there isn't much of a description. Someone else said that they thought they would light up somehow in order to get their answer from God

Bible does not tell how they look like or how they are made. They are some sort of two images put on the high priest's breast plate. When he enters into the tabernacle to stand before GOD, he bearing them on his breast plate can inquire GOD about the direction of Israelites such as where to go or what to do, and GOD will answer him. Now it is not clear how HE answers him, certainly not by voice, but maybe through the inspiration of Holy Ghost.

Did St. Francis of Assisi really say this Psalm at the time of his death or was it some other Psalm? Thank you very much in advance.

I was feeling somewhat discouraged and noticed this scripture text on my phone screen and as I Read Psalm 142 I felt so encouraged. It was like the Lord was talking directly to me and he was. Thank God for his loving word that he's given to us

Reading the chapter of Psalm reminds me of Christian songs I would listen to as a child, I remember the comforting feeling of the lyrics because it's as if they were telling me, "It's okay, God has got your back through all times - especially in these times." This contemplation or "maschil" of David seems especially relevant while we're all stuck in our houses in times of extreme worry because of the Corona Virus pandemic. This seems to be a great reading to calm our nerves and just know everything will be better.

Psalms 142 is an awesome scripture for those who are lost through their walk....who think they have no one to help or talk to but look around really good....GOD is always there even in your storm he glorifies you...every ending is a new beginning...HAVE FAITH!
