Why does it have strange spelling?


CHAP. XX.

1 The Church blesseth the King in his exploits. 7 Her confidence in Gods succour.

1 [To the chiefe Musician. A Psalme of Dauid.] The Lord heare thee in the day of trouble, the Name of the God of Iacob defend thee.1

2 Send thee helpe from the Sanctuary: and strengthen thee out of Sion.2

3 Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice. Selah.3

4 Graunt thee according to thine owne heart, and fulfill all thy counsell.

5 We will reioyce in thy saluation, and in the Name of our God we will set vp our banners: the Lord fulfill all thy petitions.

6 Now know I, that the Lord saueth his Anointed: he wil heare him from his holy heauen, with the sauing strength of his right hand.6

7 Some trust in charets, and some in horses: but wee will remember the Name of the Lord our God.

8 They are brought downe and fallen: but we are risen, and stand vpright.

9 Saue Lord, let the King heare vs when we call.
