I really love this verse.It refers to what the Lord is doing presently and also what He promises to do in the future. Nowhere in that verse does the Bible say 'The Lord was my Shepherd ...or he made me to lie down...or he led me...or he restored or comforted'. It never touches on the past because the Lord is here now. He is the Alpha and Omega and is forever present in our lives. Just believe.Amen

Can someone break down this scripture and explain what every line means? I want to understand all of it

I love this verse. God takes care of all of those who believe. We will want for nothing. When the trials and tribulations come, we will have peace through it by believing he will protect us. By staying in his word, praying and reading his word we learn to put on the whole armorer of God so we are covered with his blood. We know that God doesn't give us the power of fear, but peace and love.

sheep are helpless without a leader this can be a lama ,goat, or large dog.been around sheep most of my life any small predator can grab them .then they just give up.but in a christians flock .our church is our fold .and JESUS is the most caring shepard .we could have .he guards the gate 24/7 . always follow the shepherd. and he will get you any crises there is . To Me, it's saying the Lord is my Shepherd. He is my Comforter, and whatever I am in need of, tell him what you are in need of. He already knows. He wants to know if we have that faith enough to believe,

I'm learning to love it for I am at present in a valley. One of many over my 55 years. I sought it out this morning as a comfort to my sou!. I was not dissapointed.

In the valley is where the seeds God plants in us on the mountain top grows and bears fruit, if we walk through them with Him.
