Psalm 33 begins with a praise admonition for song with "noise" (v. 3); as well as "skillfully" played music with a variety of instruments in the surrounding verses being approved for use. In verses 3-5 we aslso see a "new song" mentioned which is associated with God's judgment and also reflecting His works (v. 4). This is reminiscent of the verses in Revelation 5:9 and 14:3 which reflects the earlier song of Moses starting before the end of Deuteronomy 31 and most of chapter 32. These show judgments that will occur which finally will bring Israel to the right standing with God.

We see further description in verses 6 through 10 of the creation of earth as well as the fear of the Lord (verse 8) and devices o men coming to naught (v 10); a theme repeated elsewhere in Psalms and other passages as I noted in other commentaries previously.

Verses 10 through 14 get into the general state of nations; if their trust is in the Lord. This indeed may not be the case now; but at His coming there will be a major change in the attitude of many remaining as seen in Isaiah 19:23 for example.

Once again verses 16 through 17 show what Solomon should have heeded to in multiplying horses and gold and silver; clearly David's foolish census taught him that lesson!

Ultimately the promise is in verse 19 to deliver from death for rhose who fear him (v. 18). THe theme of hope and truste end out this Psalm; which are things we should patiently heed in these last days.

The Mockingbird can mimic other bird sounds! God wants us to do and live exactly like He did and does. Also he used the Mockingbird to tell me to move from Louisiana to Texas. The Mockingbird is as I found out 10 years later the STATE BIRD OF TEXAS! Praise Jesus! Acts 2:38

The disciples found the whole marriage problem too difficult and concluded, "it is not good to marry",

Jesus followed up saying that few could manage to live that way:

But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it. ( Matthew 19:11-12)

The Apostle Paul gives us more insight in 1 Corinthians chapter 7 among other passages.

The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?

And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry. But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. ( Matthew 19:3-11)

Thank you Michael for your kind response! I have found it SO encouraging!

I have never tried to pray against a curse, and I didn't think that I should need to do so today, as I had been assuming that it had completed its work!

But now, after reading your reply, I'm wondering about that - as I'm still ill from the heart condition that the heart attack caused me to develop, I've been battling with very difficult symptoms ever since. And if I'm not careful, I sometimes get that ominous feeling of that attack threatening to come back. I've been on a ton load of medication for years trying to prevent that, but it's now not as effective as it used to be, and I'm having to look for alternative medication.

So now I'm wondering if that curse might actually still be active???

And yes, I totally get that demons are invisible entities, and it makes a lot more sense to my natural mind today than it used to. I've seen a real life documentary filmed by the very people who were experiencing demonic harassment, and you even saw the demon's footprints in it - on the ceiling. That really shook me up, I must say.

But some of them apparently are able to manifest physically for a short while. From what I understand so far, it involves freqencies - but because their own frequencies are not compatible with our planet, they can't keep up the physical manifestation for more than a short while. But that doesn't mean they're not still there in their invisible form - just what I saw in that documentary proved that to be factual.

I'm also so pleased to have received the Ephesians 6 scripture link from you - thank you for that, I hadn't read that for so long, and it's been just wonderful revisiting it to read about the FULL armour of God!

Thank you so much again for letting me know about praying against curses - I'll have to look into that! I DO believe that everything is possible with God!

Wishing you God's best blessings, and that you keep safe and well in Him!

When we perceive someone has put a curse on us; we have only to pray that God heal us through the blood of Jesus.

I have asked that the curse be returned to sender, because of the fig tree that would not produce fruit.

Most of us have no idea of what kinds of things witch covens pray for. It is so evil.

Jesus conquered that evil on the day He was crucified! As His children we have only to use the authority that Christ has given to us, to turn back the curses. Stand safe upon the Rock which is Jesus.

Demons are invisible; it makes no sense to our natural minds: but demons know they are going to hell. Ephesians 6

Bind them. Loose the opposite of their works. Send them to the desert, to wander until judgement.

    Hate evil. Love God.

    Hi RANDY LOGUE,

    To continue:

I believe God helped me with this dream, which I felt was no ordinary dream! It brought me great comfort, and also helped bring me back to God!

Later on, I DID understand why my had father died - that it'd had NOTHING to do with God!

A wicked person who'd had a problem with both my father and myself had openly told me that he'd gone to an Arab who practised BLACK MAGIC to place a curse on both of us, and had menacingly told me that both my father and myself would die as a result of this curse! I was young at the time and didn't believe in 'nonsense'.

Well, about 6 months later circumstances occurred that placed great stress on my father, which caused him to die of a heart attack. I never put two and two together at the time.

Then about 6 months after that, circumstances caused great stress in my life too, and I also had a heart attack. While it was happening, I cried out to God to make it stop, and save me - but it was still getting worse, and right before I felt I was going to lose consciousness, I verbally confessed to God that I'm sorry for every sin I ever committed in my life, and I asked Him to forgive me. Then I asked Him again to please help me. Then, to my amazement, my heart rate slowly started to come back, the feeling came back to my body, and the attack passed. I was CERTAIN that God had helped me - because I had called out to Him, and also because I had asked Him to forgive me!

I later realised that if my father had only prayed what I had prayed, he surely would have been saved too. But He'd been the 'religious' type, and had only ever prayed out of prayer books!

Sometimes a prayer needs to ask for SPECIFIC help, and one has to just speak in their own words. And I think that asking for forgiveness is key - especially for an important deliverance key - especially for an important deliverance - as long as you're really sincere about it!

I hope my replies and this story helps, God bless!

    Hi RANDY LOGUE,

    To continue my previous comment:

After the guards inside this place ushered me out, my father came out as well, looking worried. The guards and my father walked back with me until we reached that same border between two realms I had crossed earlier. Then it was time for me to cross back over, and say goodbye to my father (who was going to go back to the special guarded place with the guards). We said goodbye, and he asked me very sincerely to look after the family. Then I crossed back over, and I woke up.

What's also interesting about this dream is that for the short time I was both outside and inside of this special guarded place, I saw quite a lot of detail.

Firstly, when I reached this special place, I saw that it was surrounded by a 'living gate', made up of translucent-looking 'posts' that looked like they each were actually individual souls, pressed tightly together side by side, to form a massive circular gate around this area. Each soul of this gate had a human-looking shape, but without the finer details such as eyes, nose, hair, etc. And the moment I reached this place, I became aware that each of these posts is alive, that's how I realised that they're souls - in this environment, this was something that you just KNEW! And I imagine that's how my presence inside the place was detected so fast - these souls (angels?) must have sent the alert!

And entering this place was easy - I just walked through the gate like it was thin air, as my father had too.

Once I was inside this place, what I managed to see was that when my father walked in, he walked straight towards a specific area inside, and I could tell he knew this place well, he knew exactly where he was going. And the place was was busy and bustling with ordinary-looking people all going about their business, it was comparable to what you'd see in a high street. The guards who ushered me out were ordinary-looking people too.

A Pastor recently commented on the Lord's Prayer....that when we say, " Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven, " that "kingdom come" is referring to the second coming of Jesus. All my life I said that phrase, believing the "kingdom coming" in the prayer was referring to our hope that it will be so now, in our lives now. That with His help, our living will be a peaceful existence today. Of course much will happen later, but for now, we pray that our lives will be full of happiness, kindness and love.

    Hi Randy Logue,

To continue what I was saying in my first comment:

I would like to share with you an experience I had regarding the afterlife.

After my father passed away several years ago, I was extremely distraught and I had severe depression lasted for over a year. I felt like I'd lost a lot of faith in everything I'd believed about God, because my father had been a devout believer who loved God with all his heart - so I couldn't understand why had this happened to him?

(Later on I DID understand why)

The depression didn't get any better over the following months, it only grew worse, and there were times when I felt like I didn't care for this life anymore. I kept wondering - where is he? How can I know if he's in heaven? How do I know if he even still exists - what if he's gone into that 'soul factory and been reincarnated and now he's gone!!! The very thought of that was too heartbreaking to bear! This is also why my depression was getting worse - I couldn't get over it, because I had no peace of mind for him. I felt like I NEEDED to know he's ok at the very least!

Then, on one of those days, I had an astounding dream.

    This is how it began:

I was in a street, and I could see my father wakking in the street too, a good distance ahead of me. So I started following him, while maintaining that distance between us. We walked and walked for a long time, until he crossed over what seemed like some kind of border marking a crossover from one realm to another. I followed him, saw the border, and crossed over it too. I carried on following him for another long distance, and then I saw him approaching a structure. By this time I was actually very close behind him, so when he entered this structure, I followed him in immediately. I wasn't in there for more than a second before guards rushed to me and ushered me straight back out. One of them yelled at me, "What are you doing here? You mustn't be here! You've got to go back! Go back!"

    Hi there,

In answer to your question, I can only say what I've learned so far. Firstly, that the spirit you were born with remains your spirit and stays with you. But when you become born again, your spirit gets 'upgraded', in that Jesus gets connected to it, and through Him (as He's got connections in High Places), the Holy Spirit (after you get baptised) also dwells with you in your spirit.

So, having two spirits is actually:

    1. Your own spirit that is connected with Jesus and,

    2. The Holy Spirit.

The goal of the believer is to strive to be the kind of person that God needs you to be, because once His Holy Spirit lives in you, your body and soul become His 'Temple' in a sense, so you need to get it to be holy. God knows that when we start out with Him we're a mess, but His grace is so great that He puts up with all that while we learn and renew our minds to His ways of being - learning to love and forgive etc.

A person's spirit is eternal, so that should never perish after this life. There are only 3 options regarding what happens after this life for a person:

    Heaven, hell or reincarnation.

Hell is reserved for the very wicked only.

Your (good but unsaved) 'average Joe' would simply be reincarnated and get another shot at bettering himself in his next life, and hopefully finding salvation this time.

If a person is born again and has a real relationship with God (they'll know it if they do!), they should be able to confidently believe they'll go to heaven as long as they've been faithful to God and have lived a life that's pleasing to Him, and have not rebelled against Him. God is a faithful God, and they'd experience that with Him. If He's faithful in this life, why wouldn't He be faithful in the next? It also says somewhere in the Old Testament that there is a special place in heaven which is guarded by God, in which are preserved the souls of His saved, and has gates - which Christians refer to as 'the pearly gates'. I believe this. See next comment.

Hello. To answer your question, No, we only have one spirit as GOD breaths life into the body that is created as with Adam from the beginning. The Bible speaks to the revelation of "regeneration" also, meaning your current spirit was here before - Ecclesiastes 1:

10 Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.

11 There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.

......meaning in a nutshell your spirit is repurposed or comes back but this is I believe as GOD sees fit. I'm not sure what you mean when you say "surrender" as that is nowhere in this chapter but you have to figure out what the "Holy Spirit" is first. I say this because Catholicism says Mary (mother of Christ) was seduced by or impregnated by the "Holy Spirit/Holy Ghost" so are you saying that when you receive the "Holy Spirit/Ghost" you will become pregnant with child? No, so that doctrine makes no sense. Lastly, only GODS elect spoke through the Holy Ghost in the Bible so only makes sense that would be the case today
  • RANDY LOGUE on Psalms 33:10 - 4 years ago
Do we have 2 spirits, one that we are born with and whenwe surrender we get the holy spirit. upon death the holy spirit goes back to god and the rest die with the body.

A Disciple, The Lord takes pleasure in your righteousness as long as the Lord is your righteousness. The Lord doesn't take pleasure in your good works if you think those works save you. "For by grace are ye saved through Faith and that not of yourselves it is the gift of God, not of works,(your own righteous ability to do good and be good) lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9
