    Perhaps -

when 'cares' of this world burdens; -

    when one determines to -

    "Be still. . .

    then, is when -

    he can

    Know -

    that

    [IAM]

    God' . . .

which is -; as in vs.(7;The Lord of Hosts is with us,

the God of Jacob is with us -

    Selah.

HE; the Great IAM is with us -who/what can come against us! ! !??!!

Gratefully, this verse chimes into my life more than just occasionally.

It rings; remind me, O Lord!

    Psalm 46.

This Psalm once again was written for the sons of Korah. Interesting; the "Alamoth" designation meant that it was to be sang by women; apparently with soprano voices according to Easton's Bible Dictionary. I'm not certain why that was the case but it is an interesting sidenote.

This is clearly a prophetic Psalm. We literally see the mountains being carried into the "midst of the sea" in Revelation 16:20 (verse 2); and the words of Matt. 24:29 come into mind in verse 3.

Moving on to verse 4 and 5; we see the river in the midst of the "city of God" (verse 4) and it not being moved. This could represent the Millennial Kingdom on earth or eternity; as well as possibly the heavenly Jerusalem now.

Verses 6 through 10 describe the "heathen raging" (verse 6); which is reminicient of the Armageddon conflict of Rev. 19 as well as reflected earlier in Psalm 2. The earth melting is in other scriptures such as Isaiah 24:1-6 and Psalm 97:5 to name a few.

Truly God is the refuge of those who either physically survive into the Millenial Kingdom from the Tribulation or the saints that rule and reign as kings and priests on earth at that time (verse 7). Verses 8-10 talk about wars ceasing and God making desolations; as well as destroying all the weapons of war. This reminds us of Isaiah 2:4 as well as the aftermath and cleanup of the Ezekiel 38 war. God truly will be exalted even among the heathen (verse 10). The Psalm concludes in verse 11 with the identical verse as found in verse 7.

God wants me to remember what He did for me in the past. I should not fear what is before me, because the Lord is always there for me.

Let us trust in the Lord, even in this time of extreme trouble due to the Covid 19 pandemic.

We, who are saved, must go forth in the strength of the Lord God Almighty. Matthew 28: 18-20

God bless everyone in this time July 2021.

If one is hungry and yet trying to fast, a little salt on the end of the tongue may take that hunger pain away. Our lusts or vain proceedings may also be constrained by a little salt on our conversation and that salt is God's love shared by his believers to others in love also.

God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son- John 3:16

    Wondrous Love

    Martha M. Stockton

    1821-1885

God loved the world of sinners lost, And ruined by the fall; Salvation full at highest cost, He offers free to all. O 'twas love, wondrous love! The love of God to me; It brought my Savior from above, To die on Calvary.

Even now by faith I claim Him mine, The risen Son of God; Redemption by His death I find, And cleansing thro' His blood. O 'twas love, 'twas wondrous love! The love of God to me; It brought my Savior from above, To die on Calvary.

Believing souls, rejoicing go, There shall to you be given A glorious foretaste here below, Of endless life in heaven. O 'twas love, 'twas wondrous love! The love of God to me; It brought my Savior from above, To die on Calvary.

Of victory now over Satan's power, Let all the ransomed sing And triumph in the dying hour, Thro' Christ, the Lord, our King. O 'twas love, 'twas wondrous love! The love of God to me; It brought my Savior from above, To die on Calvary.

This is my first night of using this site. I am reading in Psalm 46. I just feel that the first verse is one of the most important verses to us as Christians. " God is our refuge and strength". Because when we have trouble in our lives, we all need someone to turn to and it says right here that God is our refuge, not for a brief moment , but always. If we feel unsure of what to do or where to go , we should think of God immediately. Talk to him in prayer, tell him what is scaring you and why you need him. He is our strength. We may feel unable to deal with our problem, but in this verse he is telling us , he is our strength. He will be there with us through all problems and he will enable us to face this problem as his strength is our strength. He will make us strong enough to face whatever we feel challenged by. He had our backs if we believe in him . So when we are afraid and don't know where to turn, our first thought should be turn to the Lord. If that is by prayer, our minister, our Bible, a church member, anything that is Christ related then how to that refuge and draw God's strength into our soul and deal with the problem. Thank you Lord for always being there for us.

Hi Charles. Isaiah 14:12-14, How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be ""LIKE"" the most High.

( Lucifer wanted to be ""LIKE"" GOD. I think he wanted the glory and the worship.) " This may carry a different meaning than want to be God" This brings it home.

Ezekiel 28:12-15, Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

    Isaiah 14:9-17 All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us? 11 Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee. 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. 16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;

The tribulation and the wrath of God are two completely different events, the tribulation is what the world does to us, the wrath is what God does to the world after were gone, Rev. 6 trib. & rev. 8 begins the wrath!

    Rick,

Eschatology has certainly divided many Christians. It shouldn't, but some hell fire, and brimstone preachers have elevated these secondary doctrines, issues of separation that I believe have harmed the Body of Christ. I'd like to proceed...

"In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; in all things, charity."

I happen to look at The Scriptures using a historical grammatical method of interpretation, agreeing that there are various genres of literature, historic, prophetic, poetic, apocalyptic and there are figures of speech that should not be taken literally but certainly refer to something literal.

One of the main things that come out of this kind of an approach to Scripture is that the church, that is The Body if Christ, and Israel are meant to be two separate entities. For instance, God gave Abraham a promise that included a land: the land if Canaan, The Promised Land. Israel eventually got part of that promise. I continue.

But they disobeyed and were taken out of the land in 606 BC for 70 years. Daniel, in Babylonian exile, was praying about that 70 years, when he got a message via Gabriel in Dan 9:20. Talks about 70 Sevens. After 69 Sevens Messiah is cut off. Leaves one Seven remaining.

One more Seven, a seven year period, is left for Israel. Israel was set aside after the 69 Sevens when they rejected their Messiah. It is now the time if the Gentiles.

"For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in." Rom 11:25

This last Seven, is directed at Israel, when God will soften their hears and open their eyes. It will be a time of God's Righteous Wrath and the church will be removed and delivered from the wrath to come. [ 1 Thessalonians 5].

Matthew 24 is Jesus' message to Israel, not the church.

That's true, if you are unsaved, you will have to endure unto the End of the Great Tribulation, to be delivered. see Joel 2:32

Indoctrination is a strong bond, it always amazes me how many Christians wont even listen to you when you show them scripture after scripture proving a post trib. rapture, you would think the central focus of being a searching Christian would be to learn what God says, not what some man or woman told you! If I only had one piece of advice I could impart to a new Christian it would be "dont believe what any man, woman, preacher etc tells you unless you can clearly verify it in the King James Bible!
  • Rick Colombe on Psalms 46 - 3 years ago
Well said Bob Grove in your pre-trib rapture comment. The pre-tribulation rapture theory was introduced in the 1830's by John Nelson Darby who was considered be the father of Dispensationalism and Futurism. The pre-tribulation rapture theory is not scriptural no matter how a person attempts to "sell" this theory. Jesus said in Matthew 24:13, "But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved". But don't stop there, because one needs to read verses 10 thru 16 and beyond in order to read it in context. Let God be true and every man a liar.

Thank you so much for these wonderful comments and yes fear can literally destroy all of those things. And it has destroyed many areas of my life. But God shall use all of the bad and turn it for the goodness of his will to be made manifest in our lives. God is such an overcomer he is such a victor and a winner. That means that negative voices in the mind though it sounds like the internal voice in your mind what the reality is that it is not at all that voice. Your voice that speaks negatively to you in your mind is not your voice! It is the demonic! They are deaf dumb blind and mute, however, your earthen vessel the body is carrying the demonic if we allow it in. As if you resist the devil he will flee from you and you can still do that. Yet when you now can separate yourself which is a spirit of power love and of sound mind made in the image and in the likeness of God and you begin to see the truth made manifest within your existence that your spirit is just as powerful as the God who created the universe because it is him. He did breath life into us and when he did that he gave our lifeless physical body the ability to make the heart beat, the blood flow through the veins, the brain to think the eyes to see the ears to hear the vocals to create sound. His spirit is what I AM. It is what YOU ARE all of us are the "I AM THAT I AM" that the God of the bible is. that is really profound and yet it is simple to grasp because God is so good

This crowded world is not what it seems. In these days the world is spending so fast l lose track what day it has become.

People around with sickness and problems surround me. I help all l can. Overwhelmed l go alone and ask God for help. I walk with Him to keep me going. Mankind no. Too much Me. Myself. I.

Where is God's Love toward others. It comes from the heart. Where is the Light of the Heavens. It Shines with compassion, not self. I block the evilness out. So alone l stand walking in the Strength of my Heavenly God.

Was it so long ago l had a after death. I know the Love of Jesus and His Father. Praise God Always!!!

Your eyes are clearly on the Lord & your heart breaking for those in grief & perishing around you. May it be a challenge to each of us to be mindful of others & to intercede for them, as you are doing, that their days on Earth might be made better & their eternity, certain.

Sometimes you wake up to see you need god closer then ever before. the ones around you are hurting in the days we are in. the evilness of this world is running faster than ever before. i am crying out to you lord for help in helping each one to my fullest of the wisdom you have given me in trials l was in most of my life. you tend to stand alone in this world. but let god shine through you in his world. even when sometimes it gets so hard, you have to pray more then ever for his strength of helping those suffering around you. day to day l wonder when one will lose his battle. when god will say you are to come home to me....i am your beginning and now l am your end. i am your true father in heaven. my son jesus l let suffer on the cross with his blood to make a way to see me again-- after living in this sinful world. now come!!! and to those that help you in this wicked world ..i give you the brightest of my light for your strength to keep going until i take you home!!! now fight in my strength and love, and bring it to

the others l lead you to. pray always in my word...... stay strong in the blood of jesus always with your faith, and i will move the mountains that stand in your way!!!!
