I love this, when my heart is over whelmed, lead me to the ROCK GOD that is higher than I, when ever I read this it just does something to me, when thing get to rough for me all that I have to do is go to the ROCK HIS name is JESUS there refuge and there is power in the name of JESUS

The lord is merciful who knows all things, my helper who saved me 'i want to show my thankfulness for acknowleding unto me 'he worthy to be praise and honoured for hearing my cry, prayers.

In this walk of faith, many are the afflictions,many are the obstacles and many are the trials,in that it can reach a point where and when a child of God is pushed in aconner, almost givingup, puplexed and the heart is waxed up,like here in the psalmist case,but glory be to God because of his power and grace in christ Jesus, 'the rock which is higher than us ',tested and aprroved,the only one who overcame all the trials and temptations, I believe He is ready to help us to be overcomers in His promise,if we only ask,seek and knock.

My heart has been overwhelmed many a time He Jesus has brought me out of that miry pit and set my feet upon a solid rock and established my goings.I praise God for His mercy and forgivness. I am made from earth so from the end of my being I cry unto my Lord and Saviour

Jesus is our Rock. He is our foundation from which the Word of God stands rooted and grounded firmly in Him. When we cry out to Him in our distress, He hears us and gives us the blessed assurance we need. Jesus says "Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. " Matt 11 28 ..Prayer is the key to the joy that God gives to those who are burdened down....Call on the name of His dear Son Jesus, the way, the truth and the life.

thank you lord for hearing a prayer from a sinner like me.

When as if all hope is gone, I go back to this scripture and tell God to take me back to that cross.

I love this psalms...it heal me guides me and restores my soul...wheneva i need lifting up i always go this psalms

This verse reminds us about the promise we should make, which most have not made and some who made it are not fulfilling it.

I am reading from the new King James version and this is what I get from it: it is asking for guidance and says that God has been a shelter (looking after me/you and caring for me/you). God has answered my prayers and listened to me so I will repay him and give him thanks.

Psalms 61 is the most interesting chapter in the bible. It shows how great is God.No one can be compared to a rock, shelter, tower, wings but here the bible calls God with such good names. God is my rock and shelter, under his wings I'm safe.
