Brother Larry, May CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.
Knowing ( Matthew 13:11) God (God is TRUTH) is all that matters.
God is LIFE, we are the vessel (pot) that HOLDS that LIFE.
YOU (sinful flesh) DIED on the CROSS, with CHRIST, YOU (the new creation of CHRIST's resurrection) will never DIE AGAIN ( Luke 22:35-36).
The vessel (our body of flesh will return to dust, at the harvesting of the new (SPIRIT) man), the new man (CHRIST IN YOU) will BECOME ONE (be married) to CHRIST.
Ephesians 4:4 There is ONE BODY (CHRIST), and ONE SPIRIT (the FATHER) ( John 17:21).
What CHRIST has always been, the SON of GOD, you will be.
Seek you first the Kingdom of God (created by the birth of truth and life) and all these things (comforts of life) will be added to you ( 1 Corinthians 4:7).
Hi Larry , it depends on what you call comforts . I have everything I need , food warmth shelter clothing and a nice husband . Try to make the Truth your greatest comfort , your Bible , your relationship with God and with Jesus and with your brother's and sisters in Christ . Take comfort in all the ways you can help others ,Christians and none Christians also . Be comforted most of all by the love that God and Jesus show you every day in a million different ways . Make the things that pertain to the Everlasting God , the Holy One of Israel your treasure because where your treasure is that is where your heart is also .
Verse 4-We should all worship and sing the praises of God. He has done so many wonderful things for us and we are only alive and able to enjoy life because he allows us to.
God is not racist, It's not possible for God to be racist, satan is a lier and the father of lie. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth, and he God say come let us make man in our image and our likeness. So we human come from one race and that's the human race. The team that is in the old testament is the same team that is in the new testament. Breaking down, How can two walk if they're not in agreement. Light and darkness. The talk in the old testament is about nations, and these nations. And for somebody who called themselves a spiritual leader, who decided that this is about the color of your skin like he gave himself the color of his or her own skin or likewise the other person. It's satanic, and not pleasing God. God love his creation that all we as believers need to know. For God so loved....... John 3.:16. It's so sading when when racism is displayed in church, where you going, not heaven. Please strive to make it to heaven. God bless you all. Remember Moses married an Ethiopian woman, Joseph married an Egyptian. So racism was never a part of God kingdom. God bless you all again. God bless you all.
Preachers who forbid inter-racial marriages would usually have to quote the Old Testament, where God forbad Israel from doing so (e.g. Deuteronomy 7:3, Joshua 23:12, & many others). This was given expressly to prevent the 'purity' of God's people from becoming tainted with the spiritual harlotry of the heathen around them. Conversely, the prophet Hosea was instructed to marry a promiscuous woman, Gomer, we understand from another nation, for the purposes of giving Israel a vivid example to the extent of their unfaithfulness & debauchery. So, it was never seen that Israel was to have anything to do with the heathen around them, whether in business or marriage.
Then comes Jesus & His Cross. The Cross not only became God's implement to provide a sinner destined for eternal punishment, a way out & into the Arms of a Merciful God, but also brought together all peoples, of every nation, tribe & tongue, into that one Body, which is Christ. The Apostle Paul says it well here: "For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus...There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus."( Galatians 3:26-28). That is, those who have come through Jesus' Cross & have been born again of His Spirit, are now one family, regardless of nationality, gender or anything else. I understand that we have God's permission to marry whomever we wish, but only those "in the Lord".
The care however that a believer should take in this regard, is for finding the partner in life who has similar goals & direction in life & who truly keeps the Lord as the preeminent One in their lives, in their thoughts & decisions. Disunity here can lead to unnecessary turmoils further down the road. Our common love for our intended spouse & for the Lord Who saved us, ought to be the criterion for our decision to marry someone, rather than using their skin colour, appearance or background as the criteria.
I need it very well explained to me about what the Bible says about interracial marriages. Some preachers say it is wrong some say it is not. But from what I read, in the King James Version, it is wrong to mix. Please help to understand this.
The two Scriptures that were impressed upon my heart today for you:
Matthew 5:14: "Ye ARE the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid."
Isaiah 30:15 (part): "in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength." Your power & resilience lies in your faith & waiting upon the Lord.
May the Lord bless you richly Mishael & minister to your deepest need as you meditate on the Lord Who came just for YOU & will in like manner do so again.
There are times when when the enemy comes rushing in like a flood; in the form of family. Having done all, to stand is what I must do.
I still celebrate our Lords birth into this world. He gives us hope and a firm foundation to stand upon. May Jesus bless you and your family with gifts of love.
Mishael, yesterday I sensed that you may have needed an extra measure of the Lord's special Touch. I hoped it may have been just busy-ness at this time of the year, but felt a special bearing up was needed before the Throne of Grace. I know you spend many quiet moments at the Saviour's side & was confident that you were not withheld from His Touch upon your life. Blessings & strength upon you as you feed on that Living Bread.
In 1 Kings 19:12, we read: "And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice." "Still small voice" = a sound of gentle, soft stillness.
We see Elijah in great conflict of soul: he was on fire over the horrible spiritual condition of Israel as well as for his own life being cut short, as Jezebel sought to kill him (v 10). Elijah was in mental & emotional turmoil & was running away in fear, considering his own desperate situation in self-pity, rather than seeking the Lord Who was able to deliver him. And often we find ourselves in the same predicament, when we wallow in self-pity & not immediately call upon the Lord for strength & wisdom.
So, the Lord demonstrated to Elijah how insignificant he was & his problems were, when compared to the power of the Almighty. The mighty wind & earthquake should have jolted Elijah to Whom he was really dealing with. And after all that noise & destruction, came a 'sound of gentle stillness'. It was in that sound, that the Lord chose to speak with Elijah, "What are you doing here, Elijah?" I think that it was a much more subdued Elijah who spoke (in v 14), when the Lord, in quietness, told him what he needed to do (v 15 onwards).
As Christians, even in the midst of inner turmoil that might overtake us, if we take the time to listen out for God's quiet voice (by His Spirit), it will certainly come to us direct to our spirit, teaching us & comforting us concerning the matters we face. When we grow & mature in Christ, then whenever we get into conflict, we've learnt to run into the comfort & help from the Lord. The Psalmist learned this ( Psalm 121), that help, any help in conflict, can only come from the Creator of the World & us.
Great! There is power in the word of God. I am a living witness that Gods enduring mercy walk with us like our own shadow...let us continue trusting in him. Amen Amen.
There are so many things in the world a human could crave. Yet Satan sits and wait to use the desires of this world to destroy us. It is impossible in my case for Satan to have such a victory I can laugh at Satan for hardships have taught me to cleave to nothing. Here in lies his hatred of me While he plays the world like a fiddle when it comes to me Satan is out of strings.
It is God's desire for a soul to worship him. The greatest point in a person's life is when they reach the point that they can say God you are all that matters. I give my all to you and forsake this world for I have found nothing and no one good in it but you.
Reguard..cherish..once we sin we need to repent and move on this is a two fold situation.1.cherishing.desireing .pursueing.meditating on it.cradleing it.but also once weve made repentence and moved on we need not reguard it but put our guard up against it.some times we repent and move on but later reguard it some more if were truly repentent its not necessary to keep bringing it up..
S Edwards, the psalmist was praising God for His great terrible works in the awesomeness of God 's majestic power. God is All powerful, even opposition submit to Him. I take assurance in the fact that God tries us and in the end show us His glory
I believe our hearts must be clean for the Lord to hear us.So before we make a petition of any kind, we must first ask the Lord to cleanse our heats then our petition will also be worthy presentation to Him.
The Word of God quickens me. This psalm or verse is full of comfort, knowing that God will never leave us or forsake us and that he is always there to hear our prayers is more than anyone can ask. What a God like that?
Spalm 66 The word of God is so strong and mighty. If we keep on sinning we cannot see his Blessing God honours his word and we should depart from sin and move forward but only the word of God and take us through fires or adversity.Amen
Wonderful Psalm. Assures one of the power of goodness. Encourages belief in the Creator 's marvelous work and his love and kindness to mankind. We are highly esteemed in his sight, he goes all the way to preserve his people. God is Good.
