Stephen Morrow; I'm sorry if I come across that way to you or others; ALL I think about and try to write is as you so accurately quoted: IN ONE SPIRIT WITH ONE MIND --- STRIVING TOGETHER FOR THE FAITH OF THE GOSPEL. I work very hard to keep myself back from reacting to the obstinate and contrary ones. I know that patience has to be worked out by trial and opposition, resisting temptation to fight.

Interesting how the very substance contained in this Psalm's Title is played out in the multitude of contentious and fault-finding responses! "Shiggaion of David, which he sang unto the LORD, concerning the words of Cush the Benjamite." Shiggaion means, A departure from what is right, true, correct; a deviation from the normal or the typical; mental derangement or lapse. See Genesis 6:3

servant; "Victory over sin and death was accomplished only by Christ on the cross." AND, if then you be indeed a good planting of the Lord, you NECESSARILY WILL ALSO bear good fruit, won't you? If there really be that grace wrought in us; won't we reflect that same grace by His Spirit's working in our lives; whereby He will convict the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgement? How else?
  • A disciple on Psalms 7 - 6 years ago
YES, servant! as it is written; "Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?" John 10:32; and "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:10. Also: Matthew 5:16; 1 Timothy 5:10,25; 6:18; Titus 1:16; 3:8,14; Hebrews 10:24; 2 Timothy 3:17; James 3:13; etc.

Disciple,"UNTO good works!",again, you point to all you believe/discuss about salvation.Alex,While we agree on not being able to lose eternal life,I can also agree with a broken clock, that is,only twice a day.Being fixed in your persistence to propagate erroneous teaching, makes you appear heretical.May God continue to have mercy on both of you and by his grace save you. This space is for commentary.

Bill please don't be offended. But the spritual things are hid from the wise and prudent but revealed unto Babes, The BABES N SUCKLINGS are his offspring. Bill; we have already gone over this so much! No man comes to the Father except through His Son Jesus Christ: the Word which was from the beginning, that the Anointed must come in the flesh and give His life to redeem and make reconciliation for the world by His own shed blood! I never "point" any man ANYWHERE else! With that Glad Tidings we MUST respond worthily; and we are saved UNTO good works!
  • Mild Bill on Psalms 7 - 6 years ago
Disciple,Victory over sin and death was accomplished only by Christ on the cross. We are saved by the grace of God.Do you now possess eternal life? Can you lose it?If you have it, and it is eternal, how can you then lose it?Evidence is in our confession of who Christ is/what he has done for us."with the mouth confession is made unto salvation"Rom10:10.I see you point others to works, not Christ.
  • A disciple on Psalms 7 - 6 years ago
We have the entire Bible to teach us how to believe, how to behave, how to be assured victory and permission to enter the kingdom of God when this life is through. His favor is granted to us because of Jesus, and all provision in His Spirit that He has given into our hearts. Its not because of our good works that He has mercy and saves us; but once we're saved the works is the proof, the evidence!
  • Mild Bill on Psalms 7 - 6 years ago
God saves the upright in heart. Those who trust in God's deliverance,by God's righteousness.Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. Not our works. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God,and the gift by grace, which is by one man,Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. A gift is never a wage, earned by our work

"The LORD shall judge the people: judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me." The aim of the commandments are Love out of a pure heart, faith without hypocrisy, and a good conscience toward God and men; and they that DO His commandments are the ones who love Him! The Blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin that we may know Him and walk in truth.

"God judges the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day. If he turn not, he will whet (sharpen, incite, encourage) his sword; he has bent his bow, and made it ready." While we expect men to do what's right, how much more should we count on God; (who sees all things in their innermost parts, and nothing is hidden from Him, and He cannot be deceived); to know how to finish all things?
  • A disciple on Psalms 7 - 7 years ago
"Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins." The inward impulses; the affections and passions; the whole moral constitution of man; the general emotional center; this is where we are proven to be of the truth, and how we walk with a perfect heart before God our Saviour. We learn from Jesus how to control thoughts.

I am sitting in my sons living room in TX and reading in this chapter. It is such a blessing to know that God is in control. This week while shopping with our family one of the grand daughters came bouncing up to my wife and I. She was waving her arms and smiling and just having a great time. We both thought the same thing: she is care free and happy and unafraid the way we should be.

I call to the Lord in my distress, and it is so he answered.. thanking God that being ever before
Him transparent, naked, but waiting in Hope and expectation. Being of good courage, and understand
Yes our ways are not of his ways. But by faith convinced, Grace is yet available. That God who Reign on the just and the unjust alike, is yet merciful, that forgiveness, and grace is through Jesus Amen.

It's Dec. 12, 2016 2:35 a.m. I'm going through a period of hurt and pain right now. However these verses from chapter 1 and so on have truly blessed me. I know that God will deal with my enemies in his time and in his way. Thank you Lord for forgiving a sinner like me.
    Goodnight Lord (I love you).

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

To Derrick Toms, Hopefully you still look at this page.
    2 Peter 3:9 God is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness;
but is long-suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come
    to repentance.

The Lord our God can get us through even the darkest hours of our lives, Derrick. Psalms 23:4 says- Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

    Take comfort in His words
