Is it saying that a person that does wrong things all the time..pretty much have a family but still does wrong things but want to get right will never prosper?
  • Timothy Wayne George on Psalms 7:10 - 11 years ago
My defense is of Jehovah, who saves the upright of heart. Who is like unto thee, O thou great Jehovah? For thou hath never lost a case, therefore will my heart trust in thee. Satan the accuser of the brothers, does accuse us night, and day. Yet Jesus our advocate at the right hand pleads for us, my blood covers all their sins. There is therefore no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

David trusted in God, but he had enemies. David wanted God's judgement for himself and for his enemies. Judge the righteous with righteousness and the wicked with the wickedness of their own hearts. Let the wicked fall into the ditch he dinged and let his mischief and his violets dealings fall upon him.
  • Innocent on Psalms 7:9 - 11 years ago
There is a special kind of wickedness that is attributed to the wicked; wickedness of Wicked one, which is the devil himself.

I like King David. For he was the only King who was upright and followed the ways of the Lord. Though he did commit a sin, he condemned himself and cried out to the Lord. We get to learn many good traits from him. He was wise in the Lord and knew the Lord. For eg. when he had a chance to kill his enemy (King Saul) or take revenge. He did not do so. Because he counted his enemy as the Lord's anointed even in the midst of the oppression he faced from the same person. If we know the ways of the Lord and yearn for Him, The Lord is mighty and of tender mercies that he will give us his wisdom and understanding. I pray that, God gives each and every individual (believer or unbeliever) the heart of understanding, to discern good and evil, so that they might search for the truth with all their hearts and get to experience the Almighty God, Lord Jesus Christ.

Is it me? Did I do that this time? If yes, then let me deal with the consequences of my actions or no actions. Oh! Merciful Lord. If no guilt is found in me, bring silence to those who wish me harm and destruction and unto those my heart would cry for. If anyone or anything comes my way that does not have your permission to do so, cause them to bounce off this shield of protection to a place where they can find their peace, comfort, and joy.

    I like these 2 verses.
15 He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch [which] he made.

16 His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.
