There is an excellent explanation from Christianity today dot com.

It was thought Moses was the Author and David included it in his assembly of the Records he compiled in a book.

The Psalm doesn't show the Authors name; as many writings don't.

Archaeologists found the scrolls of all the Psalms; so they are most certainly authentic.

Psalm 91:9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; Explain" Because thou hast made the LORD". LORD is the interpretation of The Tetragramaton YHWH Unpronounceable in Hebrew, meaning; did exist, exists and will exist. KJV interprets YHWH as LORD.all capitolized. So my question is; Who has made the LORD. Help!

God promises great blessings in this psalm.But for whom are these blessings?

I appreciate your message. I found in my travels another understanding by a woman who wrote a paperback of Psalms 91. She described Gods call to his children in the face of danger as a mother hen. A mother hen will cluck warnings to her chicks and they respond by running to mom's call. Once they reach mom she will lift her feathers so that every last chick jumps in and is covered. Mom will keep that open until every last chick finds safety. I hope that resonates a sense of security as it does for me.

God is a good God a protecting God which is stated in every part of this scripture,I thank my auntie for introducing it to me at 16 and God for reveling it to me now, He is everything for everyone, and to reap the benefits you have to stay in his will, in his secret place and everything you need he will provide, Thank God for his Mercy He is good to us.

"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty". He who dwells in the Secret Place of the Most High. God has a secret place for His own [ Psalms 27:5, 31:20], and it is a Place to Live in. Those who dwell there abide under the shadow of the Almighty, knowing His Protection, Comfort and Care. Every Child of God looks towards, the inner Sanctuary and the Mercy-Seat, yet all do not dwell in the Most Holy place, they run to it at times, and enjoy occasional approaches, but they do not habitually reside in the mysterious Presence.

Psalms 91:4

Verse four reads, "He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler". This is the promise of the present Life. He shall cover thee with his feathers, Christ's wings are both for healing and for hiding. ( Matthew 4:2), for curing and securing us, our God can always set an invincible guard around us, and cover them with the golden feathers of His protection.

Psalm 91 brings to light the reassurance we have in Christ Jesus. I am not afraid in the face of adversity. My heart is at peace and my joy is complete. I read this daily and I have memorised it together with my family. We all NEED The Word - Jesus, the son of God.

Very true, GG, very true. Trouble follows us everywhere in the path of life. But the Scripture reminds us that "In His Presence is fullness of joy, at His right Hand there are pleasures for evermore" ( Ps 16:11). We long for the day to be released from our earthly limitations & confinements & attain Heaven & glorification with our Saviour ( Rom 8:17-23).

Well said Chris. God looks upon the hearts of men. It is hard for people of color,but it also hard for others as well. It is through these trials that God can perfect us,mold us , show us who He truly is. Charles, from your question, can I understand that you're referring to how the 'white man' looks at those 'of colour'? Or, maybe, their apparent difficult existence in society? This is not an easy topic to properly address as there are so many factors involved. Most of it can fall under misconceptions from preconceived ideas with societal biases, or maybe a lack of better opportunities for education or careers, standard of living, or personal development. Then of course, & particularly in countries where governments give little concern to the welfare of their citizens, those people are forced to lead difficult & oppressive lives in a hand-to-mouth existence.

So, I will never accept that it is ever God's Will that they, or anyone, should live such a life with such biases against them. We are all created equally and loved by God equally; man, in his sin & sometimes demeaning, negative attitude to people of colour, is the root of any apparent inequality, not God. In his quest for superiority & forcing into submission, people of all persuasions, have placed an unnatural, sinful bias against others, whether in the matter of colour, career, status, wealth, etc.

But when that sinner is saved through the Blood of Christ, we see others as Jesus sees us. Colour, status, etc. no longer are issues, but rather, the destiny of the spirit. Comparison of how much each one has, then becomes, are we concerned and supportive of the one that has little or nothing? Not saying that non-Christians are not receptive to these godly traits, but these should be the qualities & perceptions of every child of God & who holds no biases against others, whoever they might be or how they might appear in society. Governments have generally gone a long way to deal with this, but sadly, the human heart remains largely unpliable.
