Rev 20:13 the dead are judged by their works not their sins. since he that is dead is freed from
sin.Romans6:7 KJV so think about it, you spent a
short time here on earth.did you use that time to
do the will of god or just your own?

In response to Darren D's comment, "hell cannot give up their dead"...and to Reese B's comment..."hell cast into hell" - there is no hell, this is a pagan teaching, there is no Hebrew/Greek word which translates into hell. From the New World Translation, Rev 20:14 - "death and Ha´des were hurled into the lake of fire. This means the second death, the lake of fire." This means that death and the grave will no longer exist, that is why during the "second death" Satan is cast into it forever. Lake of fire refers to an abyss, just as Samantha commented. I am studying to be a Jehovah's Witness but there are many other people who do not believe in hell and it has been proven that it doesn't exist. Just do a little research...

The word "lake" is meant as an metaphore for " a open and vast area"
  • Reese B on Revelation 20 - 14 years ago
If we are taught that Hades is hell, this place of eternal fire and brimstone, then how is hell cast into hell as Rev 20:14 would imply? Hell then can't possibly be a lake of fire right?
  • Darren D on Revelation 20:13 - 14 years ago
the king james bible sure uses the word hell
alot.how could hell give up it's dead to
be judged?if there is a hell to burn people's
spirit forever wouldn't you have to have been
judged already to be there in the first place?
