Yes, since Abel's faith, until Jesus's Faith, all th way along what is writen on hebrewes's eleventh chapter. I too, can grow from justification, like the good thief had at the cross, instantaneously justified, and in peace, just based on Jesus's Faith. He observed Jesus's behavior, in contrast with the other thief's despair, remembered Lazarus's ressurection, and had faith in Jesus's love and Power over death, as simply as a younger brother on his elder one. The good thief decided to believe in Jesus, as The Truth, THe Way and The Life, and god's Messiah. He believed that Jesus was able to ressurect him, like Abraham did, when facing Isaak's imminent sacrifice, received his son back, as if being ressurected from the dead.

Santification and Jesus's good deeds, on believer's life, result from The Peace that comes, with Holy Spirit's in believer's mind, after accepting Jesus's bood mrits, transforming and renewing.

    Enzel,

How are you doing? Did you come to believe what Believe In Jesus posted? if so, you have received salvation and become a believer in Jesus Christ who is our Savior and Lord. If not, please heed the urgings of the Holy Spirit and respond with the faith He is planting within you by God's powerful grace in enabling you to believe. Those of us on this site are always so happy to hear back from people who post a desire to be a believer in Jesus, like you. So I hope that you will post again and give us an update. I am praying for you today.

    Hi MJ, God Bless.

I agree with you and I have family members who are in this lifestyle and it is always uncomfortable for me to be around them and their "spouses" at family gatherings. I keep interactions to a minimum outside of these gatherings. I do not wish to give them the impression that I think that their lifestyle is o.k. with me. I will always act lovingly and kind around them, but, since we all were brought up as believers and taught correctly about sexuality, they have pursued the desires of their hearts and flesh, and these do not have the approval of God in any way.

It is somewhat difficult to explain this viewpoint in the public arena these days as the going sentiment is to not say anything that would be judgmental to anyone or make someone "uncomfortable". (not thinking that we may be "uncomfortable" with the lifestyle of some that intersect with our lives.)

Sadly but necessary, my discomfort with same sex relationships. gender identity.& transgender issues, is made crystal clear in Romans 1.

I'm not supposed to be comfortable with out of order relationships. I have tried to make this work in my mind but the Lord's truth overrides any attempt to do so.

And I have close family members who have been encouraged to believe love is love is love.

Society has put on the mantle of deception to perpetuate this wrong thinking.

Hi Andrew The word implacaple is irreconcilable or without natural affection Romans 1:18-32 is concerning people who know or are aware of the truth but choose to go against God. Hence verse 24 vain or empty in imaginations or reasonings then foolish heart darkened, verse 24 God gave them over they had a choice but they chose to worship themselves or nature or anything other than truth the end result is from verse 26-32. These are wicked people who will not change hence implacable or irreconcilable.

Romans 1:31 in King James Version mentions 5 characteristics, while all others versions mention only 4 "implacable" seems to be extra in the KJV, or otherwise, the other versions seem to have left out this point ?..which is curious, looking up the definition of implacable , it would seem an important aspect of the character they are trying to descibe here.

    see below comparisons:

Romans 1:31 - The New International Version (NIV)

31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy.

Romans 1:31 - King James Version (KJV 1900)

31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection,** implacable**, unmerciful:

Romans 1:31 - New Living Translation (NLT)

31 They refuse to understand, break their promises, are heartless, and have no mercy.

Romans 1:31 - The New King James Version (NKJV)

    31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful;

Romans 1:31 - New Century Version (NCV)

31 They are foolish, they do not keep their promises, and they show no kindness or mercy to others.

Romans 1:31 - American Standard Version (ASV 1901)

31 without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, unmerciful:

    Romans 1:31 - 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)

    31 void of understanding, faithless, without natural affection, unmerciful;

    Romans 1:31 - GOD'S WORD Translation (GW)

31 don't have any sense, don't keep promises, and don't show love to their own families or mercy to others.

Romans 1:31 - The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, and unmerciful.

Romans 1:31 - The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

    31 foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless.

Romans 1:31 - The Lexham English Bible (LEB)

    31 senseless, faithless, unfeeling, unmerciful,

I agree the KJV isn't catholic and really, no Bible is. I've seen cathedrals with skull and cross bones and demonic faces engraved into the building. I've seen people kneel down and bow down to a statue of Mary (not God), chant to her, pray to her, and even worship her, violating the first two commandments (no other Gods before me, and no graven images). In the service I might hear the word Mary more than Jesus, so He gets a bit sidelined. And instead of John 14:6, people ignore it and instead go through a pope who seems to bend to conform to the world's morals rather than bend to conform to God's. And people even bow down and worship the pope too!

I think maybe you are thinking of Leviticus chapter 20. It pretty much spells out what Romans 1 started.

The KJV Bible is not Catholic. Not even remotely. Jesus said we are kings and priests. You can probably go on PBS dot ORG, and look for a program on THE VATICAN. It's like a real tour. They toured the basements too :O

There are satanic statues (Baphomet), same with mother & child paintings, but it's a demonic deity. I'll look for it and post it.

Everyone should Google the origins and History of how the King James Bible got into common peoples hands. James, King of England got into our hands. People were murdered, burned at stake and much more for smuggling one page of a Bible. I want to hug all those martyrs!!!!

Hello Henry. The information you seek is found in various books: the Old Testament, Romans & 1 Corinthians. I've not been able to find all of it in one book, Romans. Do you have any Scripture verses from a version of the Bible that you have read it from? We can then research it & find out what happened to those verses you feel have been omitted.

I just realized that after I finished reading the book of Romans ---that there were some scriptures missing about men & women --what isn't shown that God made man for woman and woman for man and man isn't to lay with man or animals and the same for women --GOD said that any that changes any thing in the Bible one jot or middle their name will be removed from the book of life --it seems like this KJV must have been done by the catholic church --

Brother Adam; it is reduced to God doing everything; otherwise, God IS NOT SOVEREIGN.

Philippians 2:13 For it is God (Spirit) that WORKETH IN YOU BOTH to WILL (his will is made to be your will) and TO DO his good pleasure.

Did Esau have a choice, NO, the WORD had already been spoken (before the foundations of the world) before they were born. The older would serve the younger.

Did Judas have a choice, NO, the WORD was spoken before he was born that he would betray Jesus.

Does mankind have a choice to NOT BOW and CONFESS Jesus is Lord, NO, the WORDS have already been spoken. It is ONLY now a matter of everyone's APPOINTED TIME for the WORKS to be FULLFILLED.

One of God's rules in the Old Testament was that Israel WOULD NOT marry gentiles; yet it was God that made Samson want to marry a gentile woman, going against his own rules.

Judges 14:1-4 But his father and his mother KNEW NOT THAT IT WAS OF THE LORD.

He made EVERYTHING and EVERYONE for HIS PURPOSE.

What IS NOT OF FAITH (of Christ) is SIN.

Grace is totally the WORK of GOD. It has nothing to do with how good or bad a person is. Paul was KILLING GOD'S ELECT (as was Hitler), grace saved Paul; yet man screams Hitler will burn in Hell. Why does man appoint grace to just some people (mostly themselves), when God says he is no respector of persons.

Paul knew the WORKS were ALL OF GOD.

Colossians 1:29 Wherefore I also labour, striving according to HIS WORKING, which WORKETH in me mightly.

Jesus KNEW the Father was doing EVERYTHING in him, that is why he didn't sin.

1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin.....

    Hello Earl,

I stand by what I wrote, but am unsure about your comment. I don't know what you mean by boxed in with no exit. And I don't know why you try to reduce the subject to 'God's work or man's work'. Some turn this into a false dichotomy and assume its one or the other, but scripture says do both. Paul already anticipated potential confusion over this topic in advance which is why he explained it thoroughly in the scriptures.

    Hi Peggy,

I would like to add to what Brother Jesse said.

There are some that believe and teach that when you are saved you can do what ever they want because you are saved by Love and grace. So they continue on in their sin. But the scripture says otherwise.

Romans 6:1-2. What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

When we are born again Christians we have been baptized into the body of believers, "We all have been Identified with the death and resurrection of Christ.

Were no longer under complete control by the motions of the flesh

Romans 7:5. For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

This brings on a new nature and attitude towards sin. The Holyspirit convicts us and empowers us. Not to perfection but a pure heart. There should be evidence of fruit in your life and conviction against ALL sin. I would do a serious study in Romans Ch 6. Ch 7. and Ch 8.

    God bless.

Hi peggy Confessing Romans 10:9+10 the reason why God says believe in your heart that word heart is the word cardia that which you believe in the very core of your being. The same usage of heart is used in Proverbs 3:5+6 notice verse 7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear or respect the lord and depart from evil. If you respect you stop doing things against what you respect. There is no excuse. God Bless

    Peggy,

When a person makes a decision to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, they must repent of their sinful lifestyle, meaning they must make a decision to change the direction of their life. If that person has truly received Christ, and is being led by His Spirit, they would no longer continue on in such a sinful state. So if a homosexual continues on in his sinful disgusting lifestyle, I would say that person does not have the Spirit of Christ in them, meaning that person is not saved, regardless of their claim of being a Christian. If the homosexual has no conviction in his heart that what he is doing is sinful in the eyes of the Lord, I would say that person does not have the Spirit of God in them! For those who say they have received Christ, or that they are a Christian (a Christ follower), the bible tells us that we will know them by their fruit. So if I see someone who says they have received Christ, and I know they are still involved in such a hideous act with no conviction nor willingness to stop and fully surrender to Christ, right away the "red flag" is going up. That to me does not demonstrate the fruit of God's Spirit working in that person's life and would tell me that that person is not being led by the Spirit at all, and that they have an illegitimate claim at being a true born again believer.
  • Earl Bowman - In Reply on Romans 1 - 3 years ago
Brother Adam; by God's grace, I would request you meditate on the words you spoke.

Quote: ....those who will be saved will be saved by grace. But most people won't be saved.....

    Meditate on grace.

This is one of those truths that leaves us boxed in with no exit.

    God's work or man's work.

No response necessary, the Spirit reveals.

    GBU

Precious friend, my understanding is that The ALL-Sufficient BLOOD Of The Saviour "Cleanses us from ALL sin," and we receive God's FREE Gift Of ETERNAL Life, at the Very Moment of faith/belief/trust In The SAVIOUR, JESUS CHRIST, and His Death {BLOOD}, Burial, And His Resurrection. God Establishes This ETERNAL "Relationship" With us.

    ( 1 Corinthians 15:3-4) ( Ephesians 2:5-9) ( Romans 3-5) and others in Romans - Philemon.

What we do, or fail to do, is in our Calling To "fellowship" With The LORD JESUS CHRIST.

( 1 Corinthians 1:9). This is for "rewards or lack thereof" At Judgment ( 1 Corinthians 3:7-15)

Be Encouraged, Exhorted, Enlightened, and Edified In HIS Precious Word!
  • Adam - In Reply on Romans 1 - 3 years ago
    Hi Peggy,

God is the judge and knows our hearts in whether we are genuine or not. If we choose to follow Jesus He knows how serious we are about it- whether we're doing it for unpure motives or not. Everyone is a sinner, and those who will be saved will be saved by grace. But most people won't be saved and the Word doesn't say everyone who claims to be a Christian will be saved, either. So, I think God's definition of what a Christ follower may sometimes be a little different than what man assumes is a Christ follower. I know 'Christians' who actively participate in all kinds of sin, like homosexuality, fornication, theft, coveting, harming the body through drugs, drunkenness, etc. Many also feel they are 'saved' because that was the message they heard at church and feel they can commit unlimited sin and follow satan and still be saved, because someone told them that.

The reason I believe this is Matthew 7:21-23. It clearly gives an example of someone who believed in and followed Jesus, BUT the one who does the will of the father. So, I have a very different message than some who claim that you can 'do whatever you want'. Some even say that doing good is bad and evil. That sounds awfully familiar- as if its from the father of lies (satan) who loves convincing even Christians of the opposite. We are called to be good and do good and avoid sin. John 8:11 And I think anyone claiming to be Christian and willingly sinning is like slapping Jesus in the face and spitting on the cross. Some should wake up and be afraid of judgment of God. God bless...

If homosexuals have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior & still continue with their homosexual lifestyle, will they go to Heaven when they die. From what I can gather from reading the Bible, they cannot so I wanted to know if that is your understanding as well.
