Being followers of Christ we do not sit passive and pamper sinful ways or we stand divided from God, we rebuke those in sin and even pray God will give us the verse to show to them be firm in the word, correcting is caring and loving, if we didn't then we would say nothing and let them walk into the fire,as some of the churches are doing today, cherry pick scripture GBU all

Verses 3,4~ Aquila and Priscilla were true friends to the apostle Paul. They even risked their own lives in his behalf.
  • Charles Bonsu on Romans 16 - 7 years ago
    Amen.

Romans 16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, We must read all Paul's mysteries in order to understand the Grace age of the Jesus Christ our Lord in the Body of the Church. MYSTERIES

Leave every one that works us alone. Just go after the people that fight against us
  • Wayne on Romans 16 - 7 years ago
Butch, many are made Christians by taking Christ as personal Saviour. Shouldn't be sad for you that others are saved. Living in victory. Don't try to limit the Lord by your understanding alone. Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are limitless in scope and action. Man tries to limit the work of the Saviour. He'll do as is needed to keep souls out of the fire. Victorious living. GBU

I agree with Sylvia of 7 mos. ago to J. Thomas. But, to take it further - Acts 14:18 - " ... scarce restrained the people from doing sacrifice to them". I know that's not verbatim, but the sense is there. So-called 'saints' in some churches have candles lit to them and prayers to them - in that saints name , which is un-biblical. A true saint does not WANT to be worshipped. They are - humble .
  • Irene123 on Romans 16 - 7 years ago
Vs. 1-2; At least in the KJV Phebe is NOT said to be a 'deacon'. Deacons were for men only. Phebe was called a 'servant' - which any true Christian is. She is noted in particular because - at that time there was very little available help for the church, and these 'noted' ones put themselves out there for Christ's sake, to do what they could, but they weren't any 'higher' in respect than any saint
  • Irene123 on Romans 16 - 7 years ago
    V. 25 - " ... according to the REVELATION of the mystery ... "; V. 26 - " ... but now is made MANIFEST ... "; there is no 'mystery' anymore; GOD was manifest in the flesh. Isa. prophesied of the virgin birth of IMMANUEL, God with us, but he didn't understand it, it was a mystery at that time.

    Dennis,
You are certainly and eminently cortrect in your remarks regarding saints! Would that the millions who foolishly and uselessly pray to saints understand this truth!
  • Mar on Romans 16 - 8 years ago
    Amen
  • Butch on Romans 16 - 8 years ago
There is no scriptures that teaches, except the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal savior, I here men say that, and it hurts my heart,
That is a man made doctrine,
Acts 2; 38 Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost for the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to ALL them afore off,
  • Methuselah on Romans 16 - 8 years ago
...the word saint translates into believer, pure and simple... all believers
  • Sylvia on Romans 16 - 8 years ago
This is a response to Jackie Thomas regarding verse 15 who are the saints? Paul was speaking of the christians in the church. When we truly accept Jesus as our LORD and Saviour we are Saints set apart from this world.
  • Dennis on Romans 16 - 8 years ago
To the question, "Who are the saints?" let me respond as follows: Saints are not some special class/group/subset of believers but are actually any who have trusted the Lord Jesus and are born again. See Philippians 1:1 for a proof text. Here you find mentioned those who makes up the church, saints, plus the two offices delineated in the New Testament for each local church; bishops and deacons.

    Who are the "saints "?
  • Lilian on Romans 16 - 9 years ago
God acknowledge his own people who follows him and seeking him with love. God is a loving Father he knows how to provide us and he always have a good plan according to his purpose. Thanks to Jesus for his perfect obedience to our Father and who always protected us and pray for us to the Father. Jesus died for all of us and thanks to Jesus for his precious blood that shed for us, this is the symbol of his love and mercy to us. Jesus loves you

Greet, acknowledgements of the family of God through Christ Jesus, by the Holy Ghost. Those whom belong to Him, being faithful and true to Him by the spirit of Jesus and the Holy Ghost within His people that are able to love those that donot belong to Him yet but this is written for the family of God.

Hello Ruby, v.22 is defineately interesting it confirms the fact that great Christian men even the very educated apostle Paul sometimes dictated their writings and letters by professional Christian scribes. Praise God almighty!
  • Bobet gallanosa atienza on Romans 16:16 - 10 years ago
everything that belong to CHRIST belongs to GOD!
  • Ruby on Romans 16:22 - 10 years ago
    Very interesting to know.
  • Faye on Romans 16:17 - 10 years ago
The Apostle is warning Believers that Satan has sent his workers to infiltrate the church body to weaken and distract us. Only the "true Believers " will recognize this.
  • Andy on Romans 16 - 10 years ago
Romans 16 25 26 How many believers will read this and think Oh Here is a COMMANDMENT FROM GOD on how to be stablished defined as not to be moved from the faith. Psalm 93 1. AND that Pauls gospel is not the same as what was preached in the Gospels. Finally, the mystery which is only found in Pauls epistles. If a person doesnt get it read what PETER wrote in 2 Peter 3 15 17. Bottom line READ THE WHOLE Bible and pay attention to our apostle in the age of grace.
