Ye confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. Yet now ye say ye have been given of his Spirit. This cannot be as that Holy Spirit of God is given only of Christ (unto whom God gave not the Spirit by measure.) For it is written, But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Whoever will let him come freely. You can say no to many times and be deceived if you want except the truth. God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.

I thank God for the Bible, which has the most wonderful stories. That helps me on my daily journey to be more like Christ and less of myself. He is my strength and my everything. I am happy that God will never leave me nor forsake me. He gave us the Holy Spirit that lives in us, that is there to guide us through everything. If we just believe in him, he is forever faithful.

I think this is the most awesome verse and Paul give the greatest example in the next verse or two "he that spared his own son but delivered him up for us all how shall he not with him freely give us all things" if he delivered his own son up why would he not give us just the simple things to guide us and proctect us? Psalms 107 last verse they that observe the things shall understand the loving kindness of the Lord! How great thou are Lord thank you for your Mercy and grace!!!! May you bless all that hear your word today and let your word be prosperous and accomplish the things it was sent forth to do amen
  • Sandi Trusky on Romans 8 - 6 years ago
This verse is straightforward and simply means that God is all-knowing and all-seeing. No one has any power over us as a child of God. He is our strength and our refuge, and nothing can separate us from him and his love for us. Though trials come our way, he permits it to refine us, but through him, we are more than overcomers. He has all authority and power and he protects his children.

NOT death nor life nor angels nor principalitiles nor powers nor things present nor things to come nor height nor depth nor any creature shall be ABLE TO SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD WHICH IS IN CHRIST JESUS thus if you have been saved by his love ( his word ) you cannot fallaway R LOSE THE LOVE OF GOD, GODS WORD CANNOT RETURN UNTO HIM VOID IT HAS TO PROSPER IN WHAT IT WAS SENT TO DO SALVATION
  • Alesha Johns on Romans 8 - 6 years ago
Based on the scripture , it is just trying to advise us that we should not praise the world and do not allow our bodies be apart the ungodly behavior. We should praise the lord thy with pure heart and clear mind
  • BSP on Romans 8 - 6 years ago
There is no one or thing that can separate us from the love of God. It would only be of our own doing that we could be separated from Jehovah God's love.
  • BSP on Romans 8 - 6 years ago
Verse 18~Paul wasn't minimizing the suffering that the Christians went through at that time in 56 C.E. when Nero was emperor. It was in comparison to the glory that they would receive in heaven.
  • BSP on Romans 8 - 6 years ago
Verse 6~Being fleshly minded and letting the flesh control our life means death. If we want life we must strive to be spiritually minded.

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Here is the completed thought of God concerning our pilgrimage home through this strange land! "I AM" searches the hearts and our innermost self while the Spirit intercedes for us according to the will of God, that we might succeed through His grace and endure true and faithful to the end. The "All Things" working together for good, have to do with our being Called, and Walking in the Spirit, and not about the things of the flesh and the will and desires of the flesh but the things into which we are Baptized into Christ, according to His purpose and the world to come, for which we prepare. In this we are of good cheer though we spend our days in tribulation and trial and sorrows and pains because Jesus who is our life has overcome the world, and from the right hand of God on high, directs all things for us likewise to overcome.
  • Stephen Currie on Romans 8 - 6 years ago
Romans 8:28 KJV And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. His purpose? Romans 8:29-31 KJV For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. 31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? God Bless!

Really good advice and sound teaching. Thank you, 'disciple'.
  • Grace Simmonds on Romans 8 - 7 years ago
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God, it is not subject to the things of God and can ever be. We have to ask the lord to place his righteousness on us, Isaiah 64:6 we are as an unclean thing, and our righteousness are filthy rags. Let us keep our mind on the things of the spirit, we cannot want to please God and do the things of the flesh, we have to crucify the flesh.

  • J.McAdow on Romans 8 - 7 years ago
Jesus always loves contrary to the worlds standards in terms of individuals he so chooses that also necessarily choose Him. Even our shameful nakedness could not make him turn away. Regarding sin. We are exposed. Our physical bodies in its flaws. Exposed. Allof our unattractiveness. Completely noticeable and apparent. Yet nothing can separate us from His all-powerful love.
  • Lilian on Romans 8 - 7 years ago
Jesus came in flesh and not as God so that you and I will have life in abundance inly thru Jesus that we can see that we have Abba Father who loves us the most. God wants everybody not just Israel, Moses stood in the gap for Israel but Christ stands in the gaps for the whole world,If I be lifted up i will draw all all men unto me. SCRIPTURE SAYS EVEN THE ISLANDS OF THE SEAS SHALL BE CONVERTED UNTO ME,GOD IS NO RESPECTOR OF PERSONS GOD SO LOVED TH WORLD, Jesus said out of the hearts of man proceeds all manner of evil, HE STOOD IN THE GAP FOR HUMANITY GBU.
  • A disciple on Romans 8 - 7 years ago
"The whole human race deserved destruction..." We hear this kind of preaching a lot; and I have to admit, I too have parroted this idea. But we should really pay attention to the meaning in so many of the Lord's parables, about lost sheep, lost sons, etc. and the love and tender mercy of God, and His view of a lost and sinning world! Neither do I condemn thee; go, and sin no more! Freely forgiven!
  • Erick on Romans 8 - 7 years ago
Election:God determined who be saved Man doesn’t seek after Rom 3:11

The whole human race deserved destruction; but for reasons not perfectly known to us, God determined to recover some by regeneration and the power of his grace. He predestinated, or before decreed, that they should be conformed to the image of his Son. In this life they are in part renewed, and walk in his steps.
