Bruce, read Denise's scripture reference, also v.27. Also, 1 John 3: 8-9. He that committeth sin is of the devil. 1 John 5:18, We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not. But he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and the wicked one touched him not. Each time I bring up scriptures, people try to point at me. READ THE SCRIPTURES AND BELIEVE GOD'S WORDS. They're not mine! God's.
  • Denise Mobley on Romans 8 - 7 years ago
Read Hebrews chapter 10:26. Then we will all understand about our sins
  • Bruce on Romans 8 - 7 years ago
Wayne: are you saying you're so holy and righteous. That you never sinned again. Read 1 John 1:9- 1John 2:1-2 read it and think about it. Before salvation the Sinner would sin hundreds, thousands a times a day and love it! After Salvation they hate it and can't stand it but sometimes they put their hand to it,then they're miserable they can't continually keep sinning. If they do they are not Saved
  • Wayne on Romans 8 - 7 years ago
Bruce, 1 John 3:6, Whosoever abideth in Him SINNETH NOT, whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him. A little sin is the same as a lot of sin. Without spot or wrinkle. 3:8, He that committeth sin is of the devil for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifest that He might destroy the works of the devil. A little sin goes a long ways. God Bless

Marie Rose: Tell your friend to read 1 John 2:3-4 concerning keeping the commandments. We
know him if we keep his commandments, if we do not keep the commandments, we are liars
and the truth is not in us. This is a clear statement from John. There is no other interpretation for these verses.
  • A disciple on Romans 8 - 7 years ago
Marie Rose; it sounds like your friend is under some bad teaching. The LORD is not unclear about this; that nothing unfit for His presence shall be admitted into His presence nor inherit glory. Much of the problem I think, is in the very wording that those kind always use. We do not accept Jesus! That is outrageous arrogance, and ignorance of God, and of one's self! God accepts us for Jesus' sake!
  • Bruce on Romans 8 - 7 years ago
Marie:Yes we do sin,not FrontPage but still sin,a whole lot less than before! Satan is a master of deception. He will allow you just enough religion to go to hell. Your friend is in serious trouble.Tug in your heart: John6:44/Forgiving: 1John 1:9/Washed: Revelation 1:5/ will be baptized with the HolyGhost:Matthew3:11/New Heart:2Corinthians5:17.You got it right a believer will keep the Commandments.
  • Marie Rose on Romans 8 - 7 years ago
My friend seems to think that since Jesus died for all of our sins that he does not have to keep the commandments, as long as he has accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior...I beg to differ...though we all slip occasionally, I believe in doing my best to keep them and live with a kind and loving heart, what say you all?

  • Brodeirck Green on Romans 8 - 8 years ago
The one thing that I know from my own experience with God is that He will always be there when I need Him. Other than turning your back on Him denouncing Him , there is no sin that He won't forgive you for, so in knowing that there should be NO ONE or NOTHING that will be able to seperate you from the Love of God.

Life, Nor Death it is like you own star world like you can live but die
  • Vera Ship on Romans 8 - 8 years ago
This verse is my life. No matter what comes my way I know God has my back. There is nothing that can make me doubt my God. He is my all in all. I can depend on him to deliver me out of my trials and tribulations. In doing so I have development in knowing who he is.
  • Rev Franklin Miller on Romans 8 - 8 years ago
8:38, It is true nothing can separate us from the love of God, but we can separate our love from Him because of our sins. Too many "Christians" use this to justify the sin in their lives. I have heard many times from ministers and people, "Once saved--always saved." Jesus loves you enough to hold your hand all the way to Hell's gate and drop you off with tears in His eyes. Sin=death

  • Mari on Romans 8 - 8 years ago
We must have the baptism of the holy ghost spirit. Otherwise we'd be in the flesh which is not pleasing to him. We must be in Christ or we are none of his

  • Jim on Romans 8 - 8 years ago
This chapter tells the born again believer that each member of the Trinity is on our side. We absolutely cannot ultimately lose our salvation. We will face difficulty, persecution, trials and direct attacks from the enemy of our souls but we are heaven bound because of Christ and the blood He shed in our behalf. He was delivered for our offenses and raised for our justification!
  • Mari B. on Romans 8 - 8 years ago
Amen Stephen. We all must have the holy ghost spirit. We need the baptism of this spirit. its Gods power. The evidence is u will speak in tongues. This is God that dwells in you. He leads you to all truths. He shows u how to lead a christian life. And CH 8 says you are none of his without it. This is for ALL mankind. Ask to be filled. Acts 2:38 also. Praise him always.

Speaking in another language is the least of the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
  • Rev. Alfayo Kinara on Romans 8 - 8 years ago
This chapter develops from one spiritual level to the higher understanding. The children of God are not under condemnation whatsoever. Christ has totally redeemed them. The love of God enables them to move on and nothing can seperate us from our loving Father.

  • MockingBird on Romans 8 - 8 years ago
We can choose to walk in the flesh or walk in the Spirit : To walk in the Spirit of God is to be led by His word and to let us know what is wrong or right in our lives : To be led by God's Spirit is life and peace and as God says we are the sons of God when we allow ourselves to be led by Him !! God is so Good to us to give of His Spirit to us . How much more we should obey and submit to Him !!! Very Precious !!!
