This verse is not only amazing but also a revelation, which I didn't get in my over 40 years of attending and working in d church. Truly, it's only the Spirit that reveal the secret things...
It does not matter at all, whether Jesus was black red purple or green. What this is about is Jesus' love for us? The only thing that matters is his love. He doesn’t care if we are black or not, so why should we care whether he is?
Please stop taking the word of God out of context and jumping to wild unbiblical conclusions. Read the entire thing. The next sentence says it was because of the sun. Anyone who stays in the sun for a long period of time will become darker over time. Also, people of the Middle East are usually olive complexion and do not have mostly pale white skin to begin with.
I was very surprised when I stumbled on this verse. I said to myself so King Solomon was a BLACKMAN and modern history hide it from the world. So, if King Solomon was a BLACKMAN then Jesus Christ must be a BLACKMAN too.
This chapter teaches us that we should have a very close relationship with the Word of God.
Where is the Word of God?
Jesus Christ, the Messiah is the Word of God.
Only through cultivating a close and 'intimate' relationship with Jesus Christ, the Messiah can we receive salvation.
I think the song of songs this telling us more about God love for man. This is an expression of love between two people, so God love from to with deep expression of praises. song of songs 1:10
I read the 1611 King James Verion, like all of the other books in the whole bible they are for our learning God's way that we may have Eternal Life with God and Son Jesus.
I [am] black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon. I say to the world (Earth) Only Truth shall set us free...
I think the Song of Soloman gives hope and vision through percecution and poverty. The scripture comforts me to know that GOD is all even through danger, homelessness, and corruption.
I love the book of Solomon. Out of reading through my bible 2.5 times, the Song of Solomon has always captured me in thorough explanation it gives in the telling of the (4-Loves) the human existence goes through, and then we experience the "True" AGAPE of love which is more fulfilling and always needed within our every day lives.
There is no greater love than to know you
are undeniably and completely his child.
