1. where διά has the force of through (Latinper; (cf. διά, C.)): "to go through, pass through (on its constructions cf. Winers Grammar, § 52, 4, 8);
a. διά τίνος, to go, walk, journey, pass through a place (German den Durchweg nehmen): Matthew 12:43; Matthew 19:24 R L Tr marginal reading WH marginal reading; Mark 10:25 Rec.st εἰσελθεῖν); Luke 11:24; Luke 18:25 L Tr marginal reading; John 4:4; 1 Corinthians 10:1; διά μέσου αὐτῶν, through the midst of a crowd, Luke 4:30; John 8:59 Rec.; (διά μέσου (L T Tr WH διά μέσον, see διά, B. I.)
